Hey Fam these are all great positive visions for the year but the final questions is called the Thorn b/c it's about barriers...
Thorns provide great learning opportunities, yeah!!!
Q3) What is one barrier, that is in your control, that may stand in your way? How are you intentionally planning for it?
Joining late to chat! Trying to find my groove to new school yr!!
A2) Try to meta, especially about your own mistakes
A2: We must meet students where they are and empower them to goal set & celebrate growth often. Even the little things. Celebrate!
Welcome to the and I’m sure you will find the groove.
is open 24/7/365… you’re always on time. 👍
A2: We are having in the CLE this year for our UDL series. Looking to energize & mobilize our educators!
with there is nothing but groove! Welcome!
thx for droppin by! We are always open for biz-ness at !

A3) A big barrier for me, and my working students is time. I try to to stay in touch with students. By using social media.
A3: Sloppy design. I could apply my knowledge more. And Share more. Sometimes I hide my light. Gotta build the PLN
A3:Our own fear of risk is the only barrier that truly stands in the way. Show confidence and passion, the others will follow!
A2: Support staff in taking risks & trying new strategies in their classrooms using the UDL guidelines.
A3: One of my biggest barriers is a students lack of confidence. I work on that all year because they are so important to me.
Using UDL will help me implement an environment that enhances all students so they are all able to learn & be successful
A3: textbooks and PDF assessments. Exposing Ts to find new avenues.
A3: Major barrier for teachers is fear- they are worried about losing control when they empower students
You are a powerhouse my brother! Let that light shine!
A3 Barrier - UDL is a new concept in our district. Some of us are cheerleaders, spreading the word. Starting to see some buy in
A3: Barrier within my control? Bravery! If I expect fearlessness from my learners, I need to be willing to make mistakes, too.
A3: feeling like one more thing. Then connecting w/ what already doing & mindfully adding more magic when applying
Well said. When we model risk taking we help model a mindset. https://t.co/VsOXE1b1Iu
A3:Our own fear of risk is the only barrier that truly stands in the way. Show confidence and passion, the others will follow!
A3. Barrier: getting caught up in trying to do it all. Planning ahead: reflection journal to stay focused.
Keep up the hard work and it will pay off. Spread the word
this is a great place to be! has peeps at all different stages to chat with and learn from!
Streamlining the message to allow people to customize to their context without simplifying to a point where the complexity is lost
A3: Soak up more info. UDL= mosaic of ideas, strategies & skills. Allowing 4 grace = failing forward & learning together
as once said to me "don't try to boil the ocean" Start small!
A3 a barrier for teachers is students that have given up we can change this by motivating them and showing them they can do it
We are so lucky to have at the helm tonight. You are the best brother!!!
It’s always a work in progress, my friend. You could connect with . Lots of in that community.
Q3: Teachers in your grade level not wanting to change their ways to shift towards .
Helping new take current work to next level in the context of UDL guidelines. https://t.co/zCQ4Kit0V1
A3: Framing UDL in way that helps folks see connections to the work they are already doing rather than feeling like another initiative.
Jumping in late but love this protocol. Great way to prompt discussion and easy to understand.
A3: Naysayers=unintentional attitudinal barrier. Moral courage, tenacity, advocacy & =solution
That is much appreciated my friend!
have them connect to what they're already doing--illuminate ! And in time--go deeper.
A3. 1 barrier is motivation. I am working on that by creating a token economy. It is slowly motivating my student to try harder.
I hope to become successful with using UDL.
A3: Another barrier- UDL isn't a "formula" that is easy to apply and solve problems
One barrier is Time ! Balancing work family and real life family. &Seeking time for lesson planning and homework.
Always a challenge. I work to try to see naysayers as opportunities for growth — mine and theirs.
sprinkle that pixie dust--and your hopes translate into actionable steps!
Exactly! If we want the children to be risk takers, we need to be one first!
Given a name and an intentional framework for implementation. Intentional design and inclusion are key.
Absolutely, That's why I am and who I am today.
