A1: I really like to play royal rumbles... This is where each guild is against each other but they have items they can use in the Rumble... Like skip a team, double points, steal points. It is crazy fun and they love it. #XPLAP
A1: I love introducing my students to Othello, simply as a strategy game, and a chance to connect with them, chat while we play. Another favorite from this past year was the Oregon Trail Card Game! #xplap
AWESOME! I think I am going to make a card for each of my students this year. They will take face pics in onboarding and have a short lil' bio that will be added. #XPLAP

a1) does Kahoot count as a minigame? or I had one called zonk (I think) where if you get the question correct, you draw a card and something happens based on what card you get #xplap
A1: Am I allowed to mention my own game as my favorite? I swear . . . I am not bias! (GO #TMBGAME!!!!) :P I love my game because my students and I created it entirely from scratch. It can be played 2 ways. One way involves gamification, while the other is all gbl. #XPLAP

As an ELA teacher I will have student create a scene in Legos, I also have a few students who build some lego puzzle boxes which I use to unlock @breakoutEDU and Break Ins #xplap

I have them write backstories too. Great minds I guess! I make mine somehow incorporate some facts about the element their hero is based on as well. (like Helium is lighter than Air, so my character can fly) #xplap

A2 My Ss are OBSSESSED with @prodigy which I DON'T REALLY GET, but hey they are doing maths! It basically involves their avatar walking up to other avatars and solving math problems. #hivesummit#xplap
A2: My Ss love any boss battle or breakout. I am excited to try out @mrmatera challenge game where Ss pull out random questions from a treasure chest to answer in a short amount of time - he shared the game at #@USMSpark #xplap
My kids love the Eraser Game. I use it for review and each student gets a chance to slide a whiteboard eraser on the marker tray to earn points for their team. #XPLAP

A2: Obviously, I love anything that is engaging. If it is engaging and connected to learning goals, then I am hooked! I've found great games through @FilamentGames and @schellgames, but sometimes you just gotta make your own. This is when it gets really fun. #XPLAP
I love mixing and layering games where you can start with a @Quizletlive and then jump into a physical challenge and then back to a puzzle. Like when I did my Legends of the Hiddle Temple game #xplap
My KIDS LOVE this game! You will too! So much fun, you can play, the kids really start to mix and it can handle so many people and be done in 15 mins. So worth it! #XPLAP

Oh the smiles on their faces when they found the Golden Skull this spring was priceless. It made the hours upon hours of work that went into the Quest for the Golden Skull all worth it! #xplap

The usually quiet & reserved student who unlocked the chest holding the skull proceeded to hoist the Golden Skull over her head & run out into the hall with it like it was the Stanley Cup! It was definitely a highlight of the school year for me (and them). #xplap
I usually go to the hosts page, it's just easier for me. Sometimes I use TweetDeck, but you just need to search the hashtag #XPLAP and select "latest" and you should be able to find them that way! It's never too late to respond to chat questions though! #XPLAP ☠️🍽️
I passed by that golden skull thinking it was the most ridiculous thing, and why would anyone have that in their house. Next thing I know my mind is racing about how I need the skull for my students to go on a treasure hunt for to review for the end of the year. #xplap have fun!
😂 Very true. Player Two came along last year forced me to backoff time & $$ I put into running. I was sort of addicted for 5 yrs. Starting to find a balance again between family time and personal health - as much as you can with a baby #xplap
I left out the part with the scoring. I use magnets to attach the scoring grid. Only one student managed to score the 1,000 points seen in the picture. Negative points for falling off the tray. #XPLAP
