I explained that EdCamp is more authentic and lets educators take the lead to share their expertise and experience
TAKE CHARGE of your learning is an oft heard phrase. EdCamps are where talk turns to action.

Edcamp sessions are determined that day by those who have an interest or a knowledge of a specific topic in Edu.
For eds that think that they have nothing to contribute- an edcamp is refreshing- all contribute to learning!

Edcamp Rule of 2 feet: If a session is not meeting your needs, get up and walk to a different session that may be better for you.

I got more meaningful ideas from 1 Edcamp than all other PD & conferences I paid to attend last year.
There are no vendors at Edcamps beyond maybe a sign as to who sponsored the breakfast or lunch for the edcamp.
