Nice! You been creeping on for a while? haha!
-
A1 Our Ss are 1:1, K-12, Ss K-2 iPads, 3-12 laptops. Interactive whiteboards in classrooms, 3-12 take devices home
-
A1- We just rolled out 1-1 chromebooks. It is true love.
-
Hi!! I'm Terrie from mighty Bluejay land! Katy, TX 4th grade ELA/SS
-
Q1 Linux desktops, Chromebooks, iPads, iPods, RaspberryPi2, they have access all the time
-
A1- I mean, we're also BYOD and have SmartBoards and doc cameras. I use an iPad and chromebook.
-
A1: we are 1:1 k-12 (k-5) iPads, (6-12) laptops.
-
-
I have 25 Chromebooks in my classroom that the kids use for 90% of the 1-hour class period.
-
nice, when do you use a chromebook vs. ipad?
-
A1, Students in grades 1-8 have their own Chromebooks, Ks have tablets! It's been an incredible year in BSD13!
-
A1 1:1 IPADS! My students keep their devices with them all day. We integrate as much tech as we can all the time.
-
Looks like we've got a lot of peeps with 1-1 and a couple
-
A1 check out iPads from carts and 3-12 desktops in rooms... 1-1 would be a dream!!
-
A1 Ss 3-12 have MacBooks, we are moving to chrome books 16-17 school yr
-
that's what we had! Are they usually available when you want them?
-
not in primary, yes in secondary, we are a 5 platform school, we provide 1:2 in primary and byot 1:1 secondary
-
. hey niko! so great to have you on . i’m curious, how your students using the RaspberryPi2s??
-
depends on activities. Somethings work better iPad vs. CB. LOVE how well google apps work CB vs Ipad (obviously)
-
-
-
A1: I have 25 Chromebooks in my classroom that the kids use for 90% of the 1-hour class period. iPad for projection.
-
1:2 is ideal, I did that for several yrs, promotes collaboration and soft skills!
-
exactly. and since we're a Google school, it's so awesome not having the tech glitches we had with iPads.
-
-
iPads can be challenging, especially younger grades !
-
most of the time...We are getting more next year. Grades 4-8 uses them the most
-
Hi, rachelle frm Pittsburgh Span Teacher, A1 Some have devices, we are BYOD, some use iPads in library
-
Out of my 22, a solid 10 or so bring devices. 7ish have the apps we need on it. They bring them to play.
-
Curious, what happens with the other 10% of time? getting setup and packing up?
-
-
-
-
A2 tools for formative assessment favs
-
A2- If you want a list...front row, ten marks, stile, go formative, quizzes, kahoot, nearpod, all things google.
-
❤️ Google Drive, Its about producing a great interactive product
-
A2, All GAFE are huge for us! We try to focus on the standard/goal and then authentically weave in the tech!

Q1: My Ss are 1:1 CB. Use everyday. Also have access to 2 iPads I bought with grant .
-
A2 one of the most versatile sites out there! Use w/Ss and Ts PD!
-
Hey Leticia! That is epic. I think this is a first for Great to talk to you in email and then here :)
-
A2- The main ones we use are seesaw and GAFE. I'll switch up assessments with the others! GAFE is amazing for collaboration
-
-
A2- The other we've really gotten into lately is !
-
Goformative, mathopenreference, renlearn, various sites for demonstration, .com ... want return on instruction
-
A2: So do I. is great for cooperative learning and exit tickets. https://t.co/AYiMUnVNp3
-
-
A2 one of the most versatile sites out there! Use w/Ss and Ts PD!
-
-
A2 for digital portfolio and parent engagement of Ss wk, can be used k-12
-
-
-
IMovie for flipping and blending: Sts love to use it to show their thinking before they write.
-
Feel free to tweet multiple times! It'd be great to hear what unique purpose these apps have in your class!
-
-
A2: is a great tool for students to showcase their learning.
-
A2: allows students to demonstrate their learning creatively.
-
YES! What did we do before we discovered it? We broke our backs lugging home notebooks!
-
-
Wow! Looks like we use a ton of apps! Let's talk about a couple specific ones in Q3!
-
Q3!
What are new things you’d like to try w/ 1-2 tools? Anything preventing you/making it difficult? https://t.co/XU7v1JmGT4
-
A2: Appsmashing and drawings is another excellent tool.
-
Great graphic organizer Webtool! Has collaborative feature. great adding w/google docs
-
-
Ss can share it w/ E/O as an online whiteboard. They use Screen Castify to make math videos (just started).
-
Trying Limnu next week from reading blog of Very excited!!!
-
For Q3, think about what's possible with that app and what could be possible :)
-
A3, I'd love the ability for kids to record audio to explain thinking on GAFE, right now, the workaround is !
-
A3 Ts having time to explore webtools sometimes limits integration of tools effectively, hi embedded PD needed
-
A3: HyperDocs which combines and links to all websites, videos, etc. possibilities are endless!
-
A3. I'd like to try flipping. Lack of PD and concerns about compliance and parent support in 5th grade.
-
A3: I use to embed audio recordings in ! Wish they worked on iPads!
-
A3: taking note of several to share w/ Ts... getting Ts excited abt them encourages them to try
-
A3 and her are poss, ;) using tools to have Ss create more, have been doing this
-
A3- I'd like to make flashier math videos with IMovie, and play around more with Screen Castify to make student videos.
-
a3- definitely getting other Ts on board. I'll run a PD and they won't take it seriously.
-
So easy to show comprehension with text evidence, visuals & possibilities for wonderful accountable talk.
-
Nothing preventing 👆🏽this from happening. Started but schl is almost over.😳
-
we have a tech Tuesday to answer Ts questions with tool in an informal setting...optional!
-
do you feel like there's enough presentation material in general to draw from?
-
you must! It makes everything so much easier! PUSH, it's worth it! It's tough at first, but they will follow!
-
what is good tool to embed audio in Formative when using IPads?
-
A3: at https://t.co/8H7Q6QYot4 we are going to release dozens of summer updates. Ts should request edtech updates from apps!!
-
-
I love students uploading their text and narrate with ! I also use it for our accountable talk circles!
-
Hmm, perhaps in Q4, we can find ways to take advantage of time left!
-
A3 (cont’d): edtech companies can’t release the big updates during school so ask now for bold requests. we want to build it!!
-
It can be done. Start slow and educate the parents... Over and over again!
-
-
Time to look back at others responses in Q3 and give your advice!
-
a4 I love app smashing with !
-
Don't reinvent the wheel.
-
How do you guys educate parents from the start/before start of year?
-
WAH!! I have to leave the chat! Grocery shopping! Are the chats every Monday?
-
Make sure you include who you are responding to in your tweet for Q4!
-
A4: i don’t think any professionals are more creative at mixing & matching than Teachers. Tools have to be able to
-
are there PD slots available at your school?
-
I showcase/explain my tech expectations at Back to Schl Nite the first week of schl.
-
-
-
do you guys get the opportunities to conduct peer observations? involve use of in this?
-
Totally! Have you had the kids use the drawing tools while doing the audio recording? The kids love it!
-
A4 Lots ways :) can create an aysnch. use Lesson flows for ideas
-
I like to make it interactive for my Ts. Get them involved hands on.
-
We want to ramp up materials you can use to share with others (ex: take-away sheets)
-
take-ways sheets for diff audiences (Ps, Ts, Ss). What else could we provide?
-
I'd defi say focusing on the "Why" behind it up front is important, speaking from your own exp.!
-
have never agreed with something more!
-
-
I want show work questions to be auto graded with partial credit
-
have been trying new things in class and more, each grp is diff and I value input
-
love to hear more about this Jennifer!
-
I really love nearpod. Let's you see what they're doing!
-
as an instr. Coach I do obs....also have Ts obseve each other using Google forms
-
exactly? thats how i got some hooked on seesaw!
-
I wonder if could be weaved into peer obs. in Debbie's school!
-
You could just go hang out in their classrooms on your planning and see whats up!
-
Q5!
What routines do you do to make sure students are efficient with specific edtech tools/devices? https://t.co/vMQn6I5yrS
-
any workarounds for balancing pacing for hi's/low's in any apps?
-
a5- I just monitor and make sure they know I'm watching them. Teach them how to use tools effectively.
-
try quizzez. Very similar, but move at your own pace.
-
the why and how you're using it.
-
A2 my favorite app currently is
-
-
A5. Nothing decorative until the content is complete. The threat of paper and pencil is powerful,ha. Tech is a tool, not game
-
went to a gamification talk that featured it. got some great ideas for using it!
-
: I try to stick to a few tools and make sure students know the expectations.
-
A5: I allow them play time with it to click buttons to find what and where everything is. Also, I choose easy to use edtech.
-
A5, Give kids the opportunity to play and figure out before using! Also, have "lingo" for students to freeze and listen!
-
Def agree that every piece of tech should have a purpose that supports if not expedites or deepens learning
-
WDYD when you have a group that NEEDS paper pencil? I use tech a lot, finding it doesn't work w/ all groups.
-
A5 Clear expectns routines mix things up, provide ex, do a screencast if needd. Use
