That's what the #pixelclassroom is about this year. I'm building it, I'm making it happen. I'm reaching my Ss and beyond. It's go for it or go home. #ThePepperEffect
A1: focusing on relationships is key. Also, excited to work with staff, students, families to expand our opportunities on and off campus for @MasonSchools Ss #ThePepperEffect
A1: Making the Impossible possible with @5thGradeConnect Ss and our participation in the #nanowrimo novel writing project. Realistic Fiction Novel written by students on coming as an immigrant to America. #ThePepperEffect@participate
A1: First of all, such a killer song. Second: Planning, preparation, and DOING it! Whatever the impossible is, you have to take the step forward. Ben from NC. Jumping in late. Teaching 5th 2nd year teach!! #thepeppereffect
A1: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable”-Jillian Michaels I plan on making the “impossible” possible with my Ss. In order to grow, you have to push yourself past your comfort level. #ThePepperEffect
You are totally making that happen! I love how you are sharing that trip. I truly feel that I am on the #ExpeditionSchnekser with you. #ThePepperEffect
A1: Teachers accomplish the impossible every day! For me this school year, I have completely let go of FEAR. Over the past several years I have come to really appreciate and understand the growth and power that happens when I am not afraid! #ThePepperEffect#KidsDeserveIt
A1: The Beatles reunion happened bc these bandmates didn’t let their dream die. The impossible can happen by dreaming big. I’m dreaming big of more collaboration this year inside and outside the walls of my classroom and school. #ThePepperEffect
A2: You practice and show it. You just don't say it and then don't do it. There is meaning behind your words. Model it, invite it, lead and be there when someone needs you. #ThePepperEffect
A1: As a parent, I'm going to communicate with our school and get whatever permissions are necessary to be as involved as possible.
My wife and I are also planning on making sure our teachers are never scraping by with supplies. #ThePepperEffect
Kim Laughlin here. AP at Taylor Mill Elementary in NKY. Better late than never. Have to say I'm loving some JT right now. But seriously if you know me, you know I pretty much love any music all the time! #thePepperEffect

A2: It's really important to make sure my students understand that I am not going to ask them to do something I am not willing to do. I do read for fun and I keep a journal. I model and reinforce all the time. #ThePepperEffect@participate
Hi! I am Jessie DeLapp and I'm late to the chat (sorry!). I teach the most amazing 2nd Grade kiddos each year, in Lexington, NC! I don't have a favorite summertime song because I just love any kind of music! #ThePepperEffect

A2: be intentional and genuine w/ our actions. Take the time to actively listen to Ss & Staff. Model what you expect to see in the building & classroom. Do the little things so others follow suit. #ThePepperEffect
A2: Community. Teachers, staff and students feed off of the energy in the building. By creating a positive atmosphere you centergize by creating strong bonds. #thepeppereffect

Hello & Welcome to #ThePepperEffect Summer Book Study Chat! My name is Sean Gaillard & I am principal of @LexMidSchool in NC. Grateful for support from @participate for my book! Let's introduce ourselves and share our favorite Summertime Song!
A2: @smgaillard talks about this in the book, how a teacher saw better in him, and pointed him to the uplifting sound of the Beatles. This happens when we see others past their behavior, and our words call out greatness in them. #ThePepperEffect
A2 giving students their voice in their learning and modeling inquisitiveness and wonders with assistance in finding the information to answer or theorize their wonders #ThePepperEffect
A2: Developing a great team within the grade level, planning parties and events with each class. Teach students how to problem solve and create solutions in their school and community. #thepeppereffect
A2: Our support is going to come in the form of being more involved with our children's classmates' parents.
I want to help develop more of a partnership style relationship between parents and teachers where we all work together on educating our kids #ThePepperEffect
Q2. I’m realizing that my connection with students has been short circuited by my fear of “looking bad”. I intend to care more about students than appearances. Add colleagues: care more about people than perfection. #ThePepperEffect
A2:"Sometime we default to rigidity rather than valuing what we are called as educators to do." I want to keep this reminder in the fore-front this year. To recognize when compliance & busyness are interfering with my serving and supporting students and teachers. #ThePepperEffect
A1: EASY-I am going to make the impossible possible by JUST DOING IT. Every year I struggle with worrying about what others think, how I will look, what others will say, and so on. This year, no more. I'm claiming it. #ThePepperEffect
Thanks for sharing that! Mrs. Mac changed my life with one word. Grateful for her daily. Definitely have to call out the greatness in others. #ThePepperEffect
A1: I will make sure that I know my Ts WHY to support them and empower them to do the impossible! Our Ss need us to lead them past fear to the unimaginable! #FESEagles#ThePepperEffect
A3: Much less lecturing, it's hands on this school year. Especially with two of my new classes. There is terminology, but we are doing less "busy work" and more discovery this year. #ThePepperEffect
A3: tough one; I’m not sure yet, but I am thinking in terms of rigidity of expectations. I have difficulty with this when it comes to google apps; I want to control too much #ThePepperEffect
A3: A practice I am trying to be true to is Full Day Projects. When participating in #CharacterDay#TheDot and many others. Just like a field trip in house where we dive in deep and are part of something bigger. #ThePepperEffect@participate
A3: Less talking, teaching students to not be concerned with the "right" answer and focus more on the solution/path to understanding why it is or isn't the right answer #thepeppereffect
A2: instead of just being careful not to say the wrong words, be intentional in saying the right words. Say something true and kind to someone every day. Everyone is good at something. #ThePepperEffect
A3: letting go of the directing all the learning and giving it to the Ss will promote creativity. Ss are inspirational when they lead their learning. #thePepperEffect
A2: Always be modeling. For students as well as educators. Treat each other with respect and admiration. Be the change we wish to see in the world, each and every day. #ThePepperEffect
A3: As Sgt. Pepper emerged, shocking the naysayers with their “You Just Wait” moment revealed, I plan to stand back and let the Ss take the lead on their creativity. I’m helping them unleash it through passion projects and Ss blogging. #ThePepperEffect
A3: Control. Listen to what my students want and not what I think they want. They are in control and I am just their guide along the way. #thepeppereffect
Special #thepeppereffect shoutout to @smgaillard and @pIain_jane! Making this chat a reality!!!! Such a fun band built on sharing the positive, taking action, getting to work, and laughing all the way! #BigHugs
A2: I think that we can make this happen by choosing to see and acknowledge the positive and the success in our fellow educators. Too often we choose to see what others do wrong, instead of what they do right (and often really well). #ThePepperEffect
A3: As a parent, I'll shed the notion that a bulk of the responsibility for my children's education resides with the teachers.
I'll be more involved in understanding the curriculum and seeking out ways to help teacher succeed. #ThePepperEffect
A2: encourage by saying “yes, and...” and offer contribution to Ts’ & Ss’ ideas...always seek to build on their “song” and create your own schoolhouse “mixed tape.” You might just fix a hole, all with a little help from your friends. 😉 #ThePepperEffect#leadership#innovation
A3: Ooh...great question! Teaching to the middle. I need to work on individualizing and using new ways to get my students (teachers) to express their learning. #ThePepperEffect
That's it for tonight's chat! A very special thanks to @JenWilliamsEdu & @pIain_jane for support & collaboration with this project! Thanks again to @participate! Grateful to be in the band with you all! #ThePepperEffect
