Hello. My name is Susan, and I am a soon to be 1st year teacher from IL. I am also the founder of #newteachertribe which will have its inaugural chat this Sunday at 8:30 pm CST. #masterychat
A1. around a 6.
A lot of things went on that challenged us but we grew together as a family. Next year we will come back stronger and ready to tackle the culture. #masterychat
What's up man! Thanks for joining tonight! You're my suit twin with the purple gear! I've got mine lined up for tomorrow to wear! #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A1: I would rate it as a 10. The staff was extremely positive and supportive of me as a student teacher. I loved the climate, and the school had a truly unique feel. #masterychat
A1: I would rate our culture a solid 9! Lots of positivity and great feelings going on at the school. Always room to grow, but the people I work with are more than colleagues they are family. And we try to make our students feel welcomed always! #masterychat@ERobbPrincipal
A1 Based on my current group of 7th graders I would say a 6. They are a very tough group, and it has taken a lot of time and energy to get them to realize some things that most 7th graders already know! #MasteryChat
Working with @thegridmethod I see a lot of different ratings (probably enough to fill the scale! ) the oneโs with the best culture though have a foundation of trust and respect for both students and staff. #masterychat
Lets say an 8!
Always room to grow, but I love seeing the ownership Students, Teachers, Administration, and our Community take in making sure our building is awesome! #LimitlessSchool#masterychat
A1 Been a bit of a roller coaster ride this school year. Started out an 8 with some awesome start of the year PD, but it quickly plummeted to a 3 or 4. Bounced up and down and around all year long. #masterychat
Q1 - Actually very close to the 9-10 range. Everyone works really hard at my school. The kids are positive, the teachers are excited to learn, and the community just loves being in our school. Could not have asked for a better year. #MasteryChat
A1: Under the constant changes in 4th & 5th grade I'd rate it at an 8. The culture is what brought me to @CaldwellElemen We're always doing crazy, innovative things with our students, but always looking for more. #MasteryChat
A1 - I would rate our culture at a 5 right now. We have 3 floors and although we have some consistent culture, the different floors lends itself to multiple cultures especially since we are an #alted#PBL school #Masterychat#LimitlessSchool
A1: we were an 8 this year. Our building has been my favorite by far and the staff's passion is easy to see. We truly enjoy our jobs and work well together. We had several new staff members (transitioning) but they quickly made a positive impact. #masterychat
A1- being in a new place has made it difficult to evaluate, but Iโd have to go with a 5 and take some personal responsibility for it not being higher. #masterychat
IMO 7th grade is the toughest year (and the one I least liked as a kid.) I think 6 is still pretty good! I would have taken a 6 in some of my hardest years. #masterychat
Phil - Love this! Always room to grow, right?
I think people you work with being family is outstanding. How do you think you build this ... everywhere?!? #LimitlessSchool#masterychat
A1) I think a 7. I think we have a solid community, & r pretty close due to being an international school. Most of us don't have family here, so we end up getting close. But sometimes I feel there's a divide b/n national & foreign Ts. #MasteryChat
A1: Bottom half of the scale, but the arrow is pointing up. We're beginning to reflect on our conversations, mindsets. We need to rebuild some broken relationships between the 3 major groups within the building - Admin, teachers, & students. #masterychat
A1: Not sure I could choose a number, but I feel confident saying there are awesome teachers and staff members who are willing to solve problems and help out from fixing laminators to celebrations! #masterychat
A1 I'd rate it around a 7. It's getting better, but we have a long way to go! We have always been more focused on scores and college acceptance rates than the whole child or matery learning. Started looking into it last year and have been improving ever since #masterychat
A1: I would rate our school culture at an 8.
A LOT of great changes because of new administration! Culture begins with the leader...and we have a great one!! #LeadLAPโ๏ธ
#masterychat
A1. It varies by time of year and even in regards to different elements of school. Work ethic/grit there is work to do. Including the more marginalized Ss pretty good, most Ss look out for those who need it. Monitoring of mental health, going in the right direction. #MasteryChat
A1: I would say it's an 8. We get very good feedback from parents and teachers very often. Of course, there is some work to do to improve in some areas. #masterychat
A1: I work at a few different school sites and some I would rate higher than others. I think the leadership and how much they listened to their teachersโ needs really makes the most difference in each school culture #MasteryChat
A1: 1 of my biggest goals was to help stakeholders feel move involved & better informed. I think we were an 8. This number comes from an end of the year survey I sent out. It was good to hear the positive feedback from all the hardwork that went into this component
#masterychat
A1: On a scale of 1-10 I think we rank 9 in school culture. I can honestly say our staff is happy, we all come together as a family and we all support each other. That culture trickles down to our children. Teachers like @MireyaRios17 make the difference. #MasteryChat
A1: Through tragedy close to the beginning of the year we pulled each other up and rose above until the end...I would say a solid 9! We have an amazing school! #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A1 Depends what โbestโ means. For a culture that supports student learning? 9. Creativity? 10. Respect? 4. Trust? 2. What we call โbestโ depends on what we value. #MasteryChat
A1: 7 because while I think we have a fantastic school culture it is still a work in progress. We are working to get everyone on the same page & build positive morale for ss & staff. Lots of new things being implemented & change is harder for some. #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A1- Moving in the right direction. Our buildingโs instructional leadership team met today, we reflected on the year, and made some plans to improve next year. Itโs day two of summer break for us, but we still came together to keep growing! #MasteryChat
Leslie Hopp, soon-to-be first year special education teacher at the high school level. I prefer to communicate in GIFs, but words work too sometimes ๐ #masterychat
A1: 4? Need to work pretty hard at the community thinking education is good for them. 3 new Administrators in the building I think that each have their own work to gain some more trust from the teachers. Working with the kids in some unity projects though :) #MasteryChat
A1) As a district coach my scale varies from building to building. My dream is that all buildings bring the ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ and break that 10 point scale #masterychat
A1 It was a fairly standard year with lots of collaboration and the building of new knowledge. I would rate it a solid 9 for the most part. #MasteryChat
A1: I am thankful for our schoolโs leadership that has recognizes the importance of school culture and looks for ways to continue to improve the culture of our school- I believe there is always room for improvement here #masterychat#limitlessschool
A1: This was my first year with my district. Giving a rating is quite difficult as culture should be measured after an extended amount of time with evidence of patterns. We are pack full of dedicated Ts, support staff, and admin all drawn to a fantastic bunch of Ss. #masterychat
A1 A solid 5...Started off strong and working together...things gradually moved to more isolated groups and complaining without problem solving...positive outlook for next yr #MasteryChat
A1: I would say 6-7. We have been going through a lot of changes and this has been tough for some. Change is tough; however, remaining positive and embracing the change is so important. #MasteryChat
Iโve had this year. Actually itโs one of the things that led me to create @thegridmethod. However. sometimes itโs โthat groupโ of students that brings out the best in us as educators. Another thing that can help is finding the positive and focusing on small victories #masterychat
Hello, #masterychat! Iโm Anna, an enthusiastic English/AVID educator from San Diego! I will be catching up when I get home. Just leaving! Might be in traffic for a bit. Canโt wait to learn from everyone!
A1: Involving the stakeholders for a positive school climate is crucial. I hope to see the school decisions being made with open-dialogue for everyone to freely exchange ideas and respect their multiple views before decisions become policies. #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A1: I would rate us at a 7... a great deal of positivity but always room to grow! More Ts and As on social media to allow our doors to come down and community able to โseeโ in! BYOB... Bring Your Own Breakfast for Ts to hang on Fridays! #masterychat
I agree. This year I have done more #edtech and tried more new things than ever before. I feel like I am throwing everything I have at them! #masterychat
Connecting with the community and/or changing their mindset of school is a challenge. I find finding purposeful ways to get them involved (even just one foot in the door) can be very helpful! What is your next step to improve this? #LimitlessSchool#masterychat
A1: 7 out of 10. District cuts hurt, but, and it sounds so unquantifiable, there was just a warm, fuzzy feeling today... more than any other day. People at my school really do care about one another. #MasteryChat
A1: Itโs hard for me to put a number on it, but I think our culture is growing in great ways. We have a lot of new staff and we are getting a new principal next year. #masterychat
It lifts my heart to see a lot of people rating their school culture above the half way point! It is not something that every school has- you all must work hard at it! #masterychat
A1:one of my biggest goals was to help stakeholders feel more involved & better informed. We were an 8. This number comes from an end of the year survey I sent out. It was good to hear the positive feedback from all the hardwork that went into this component
#MasteryChat
A1. I think that with any school's culture, there is always improvements which can be made! I would give our school between a 7-8 realistically. We have to base things on each classroom, T open to parent engagement, welcoming, working with ELL families, etc. #masterychat
#masterychat
A1: started as a 10 as I could not believe the people I was joining actually liked sโs! Some bologna made a stinky 2-3. But I refuse to give in, so about an 8 now. With concerts over the 2 next weeks, it will end on an exhausted 10 ๐
A2: by giving them a chance to reflect and address their misconceptions in groups. Students observed claims, researched, and stated their own view of the claim. Sometimes they disagreed, but the discourse was amazing. #masterychat
A1 7 we struggled a bit but we've worked to get back on track. I'm happy to say that kids have been our focus, we are just a woek in progress this year. #MasteryChat
A2. With our technology initiative, students were given the freedom and responsibility to show what they got. Many of our kids really stepped up! #MasteryChat
I think if I was to rate the whole staff I would give it a 7. We have many strong personalities that donโt always open to change, but there are so many amazing staff that love innovating and doing crazy things for the Ss #MasteryChat
Mapping out our professional learning for 20189-2018 to find our "why", determine our school brand, and help our Ts set their personal growth goals! #masterychat#LimitlessSchool
Too many goals to count and growing all the time!! Right now: reorganize my pacing to hit neglected regions of the world, set up global chats, read some awesome PD books, and make my materials more user-friendly #masterychat
A2 - Give them choice in their learning and allow them to be leaders in their own right. They need to understand how failure and success taste on a personal level before they can lead others to success. #MasteryChat
A2: At @MooreMagnetES this year, I created classroom greeters, hallway greeters, and Ambassadors, which has brought social (soft) skills to the forefront of their interactions with others using my research-based product called #SPECIAL#MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A2: By building a classroom community. We were solid! My preschoolers had a better line than most of the upper grades and they loved getting the compliments! #MasteryChat
A2: In order to get my Ss to act as leaders, I had to model that. I recently read "Quiet" by @susancain, and it emphasized quiet leaders. Due to the fact that I can be introverted at times, I helped my quieter Ss see themselves as the leaders that they are. #masterychat
A1: As Principal, I hesitate to โrateโ the culture but in my opinion itโs an 8. Feeling good about it based on feedback but always room to grow! #MasteryChat
A2: I think I lead my kids to be kind humans this year, at least...the groundwork has been set since they are little people learning so many things about the world around them. #masterychat
A2: I empower my students to be leaders in and out of the classroom through high expectations for respectful discourse with other students and adults. Communication is so important! #masterychat#limitlessschool
A2 - empowering leaders inside the classroom started with a focus on growth mindset. Personal ownership of learning is key to being a leader! #masterychat
A2: I wanted Ss to be able to lead in their learning so we did a lot of choice and inquiry based projects where they were able to apply what we were learning in a way that was meaningful to them #masterychat
Remember you grow and learn with them. Itโs great that you tried so many new things. SOMETIMES...itโs letting go, increasing ownership and accountability that help students truly thrive (even the difficult ones ;) ) This is a huge part of @thegridmethod#masterychat
In reply to
@MrsAsztalos, @thegridmethod, @thegridmethod
A2: We have had many discussions about how our behaviors represent who we are, inside and outside the classroom. Be the role model, show kindness, and offer support to peers. We have a weekly coffee station to increase social skills and integration. #masterychat
A2: I empowered my students to be in control of how they presented their mastery of knowledge on certain tasks. They taught me how to use a few apps and we worked together to create a way to use them in class. #masterychat
A2: I build strong relationships with my SS, so I know the strengths of each student. That way, I know when and where they will be comfortable in a leadership role! #masterychat
A2: we have student led clubs in our building and allow them to have a voice in what we do. Several students also do daily announcements to praise other students. Finally, I had a few students to make a welcome video for new students, families, and staff. #masterychat
My school is awesome. I'd say 9-10. Small and supportive staff. Students feel loved and cared for. #masterychat (and this is not just because my principal @hcs_echs follows me)
A2: service learning projects. We got some very high praise from other district officials and local community members. We shared the start with hello message.
#MasteryChat
Q2: I'm not in the classroom, but I worked with many students this year. I empowered them to be leaders by helping them improve their organizational skills and boost their confidence. #MasteryChat
A2. In the classroom I have Ss help each other and direct activities without my guidance, choosing their own pathway to mastery. Outside the classroom it is more difficult but there has been some character building. #MasteryChat
A2: I empowered my students to be leaders with our classroom culture. We had weekly celebrations, we had ambassadors, and we worked on sharing our social skills with the school & community #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A2: Demonstrate random acts of kindness, share during Genius Hour, buddy read, tutoring, collaboration, create a business plan for entrepreneurship. . . #masterychat
A2 - my last unit was chemistry/business of chocolate bars. Was a huge hit. Ss who grasped the #Entrepreneurship mindset totally lead Ss who struggled without my direction. They were vested in their final bar and their business plan. Helped end year on + note #MasteryChat
A2: I can't thank @gcouros & @JoyKirr enough for pushing me through their writing to unleash Genius Hour in my classroom. Over a calendar year removed and I still have some students working to improve their projects #masterychat
In my classroom we use the #TeachFurther Internship model so students are able to take on real roles in the community to master content. This has naturally allowed each student, in their own way, to become their own definition of a leader. #LimitlessSchool#masterychat
A2 (contโ): one of my favorite out of building leadership experiences for my students is the #studentshowcases at @ncties each spring! Itโs amazing to see students share their learning with educators from around NC #masterychat#limitlessschool
A2: When students have questions, I will sometimes point them to other students to help. I empower my student leaders by using them to help prompt discussion and often times my students regulate each other. Good routines are a big help! #masterychat
A2: I think the biggest way I empowered ss this year was by having my 4th and 5th graders do ss led IEPs. It helped them learn about their disabilities and advocate for themselves. #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A2 Outside the classroom, our 6th graders showed leadership by organizing walkouts. Inside, they led by example, showing compassion for each other and writing about the struggles that matter to them.
#MasteryChat
A1: As for supportiveness our school is one big family. For example, we do happiness days once a month where a certain group of teachers brings in food for everyone! #masterychat
#MasteryChat A2. Ss took their stands in expression they made projects for the community..working for animal shelter, old age homes, visually and hearing impaired, and they were able to talk about solutions for global issues like Religious disharmony. These were all Ss driven
Q2: When students wrote and performed monologues for Playwriting, it was incredible to see them take control of their narrative and command presence on the stage. This change translated into the classroom as well. So amazing... #masterychat
A2: Near the end of the year I was really encouraging my Ss to advocate for themselves and wish I had started earlier. Always encourage Ss to try new things and get to know peers. Constantly working on Take advantage of opportunities and work hard, have integrity. #masterychat
A2: implemented daily responsive/restorative circles in all classrooms this year depending on need of day. Also use restorative practices with small groups daily. Ss are working to solve their own problems, share feelings, develop empathy, and will ask for a Circle! #MasteryChat
A2: We have clubs that provide those opportunities. Students are a key part of our Cub News Crew. They conduct interviews, are photographers at programs, help conducting the newscast, etc. We also have StuCo that is involved in service projects around the school. #masterychat
A2) First, making it known my Ss are the most important asset in the building - you matter, I hear your voice and we are in this together! #masterychat
A2. By giving Ss the chance to lead in our discussions and activities with voice and choice, they were able to share their views, opinions, discussions, observations, form arguments in discussions of debating on subject matter. #masterychat
A2 So many ways! Everything from small opportunities and encouragements to speak up and speak their mind to the ability to form their own learning experience with genius hours. I also love that I am at an @ibpyp school that encourages and supports student action! #masterychat
A2) I had my students teach the class as much as possible, lead lessons, run literature circles and I try have my House Council come up with community and school wide ideas to support or help others #MasteryChat
A1. I work with some amazing people who are like my family but this has been a hard year for us all. Rating scale cannot be determined at this time. #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A2 I encourage leadership in my classes by putting my students in positions that make them feel responsible. Also Weekly collaborations, I give them topics to research on and come to class to teach. #masterychat
A2: I tried my best to incorporate texts such as a book study, I AM @Malala to empower my students with vital concepts: power of education, conviction, courage, selflessness, & to become a torch bearer for justice. #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
One universal truth is that students CANโT be the issue. It canโt be โthis yearโs groupโs faultโ because they are the reason we are here, the reason we work, the reason we exist as educators. Itโs all for them. ALWAYS #masterychat
A2: I helped co-found our Leadership in Action program. We rolled it out to Freshmsn this year. Helping them master 7 key leadership skills and allow them to collaborate and reflect on those skills throughout their HS career. #masterychat
#masterychat
A2: sโs have been in charge of creating a mini musical which they titled โEmpoweredโ & includes works by MLK, JFK, & songs like swing low, this is me, power in me, & All of me ๐ถ They are amazing ๐๐๐ถ
A2 I encourage my Students (Teachers) to integrate at least one piece of technology in the their classrooms. For them to understand it is OK to fail but also to use failure as a teachable moment. What did they get out of the experience? #LimitlessSchool#MasteryChat
A2) I teach them to problem solve and to be their own "boss".They r ages 6 and 7,so theyRvery dependent on theT&reluctant 2 make decisions. It takes some work, but they can do it! I encourage them to think about it and come up with their own decision/solution. #masterychat
A2- The little things go a long way in building relationships. If one of our students doesnโt receive a โgood morningโ when they wake up, you might make their day if you give them that greeting at school. Leaders have to model how we treat people. #MasteryChat
A3: I LOVED having a chance to work, plan, and teach with @lynzhite. We spent hours planning lessons that would encourage discourse and embrace creativity amongst all of our 7th Grade scientists! #masterychat
A2: we focus on growth mindset too! Saying โnot yet.โ We also were @qleducation Quantum trained this year and that led to some more student-led activities #masterychat
A2 - empowering leaders inside the classroom started with a focus on growth mindset. Personal ownership of learning is key to being a leader! #masterychat
Thank you! It stemmed from a great conference I went to several years ago called "I'm Determined". I learned so much that I still use in the classroom! #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A3 I wish I had an answer for this one, but don't really have any one that fits this. I just do my own thing. My team is great, but we each do our own thing. #masterychat
When staff โdig their heelsโ in itโs usually a sign that something is outside of their comfort zone. Sometimes having the discussion and finding out about what that is can help break down the wall a bit #masterychat
A3: Our social emotional teacher was an absolutely invaluable part of my team this year. My kids canโt learn when their social emotional needs arenโt being met. #masterychat
A3: I worked closely with my team. They were all 100 percent invested in student success, and because of that, we were able to work well together and reach different students based on our individual personalities. #masterychat
A2 - developing an MGP that had Ss take on an issue that affects teens and needs solutions really strengthened their confidence in seeing themselves as voices of change. Another must have leadership quality, voice. #masterychat
A2: I tried my best to incorporate texts such as a book study, I AM @Malala to empower my students with vital concepts: power of education, conviction, courage, selflessness, & to become a torch bearer for justice. #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
A2 I helped them create a lesson plan on a topic of their choice and they got to teach it to classmates and other members of the school. For so many it sparked a deeper dive into something they love! #masterychat
A3: I worked well with the teachers that have the same levels as I do, but I also wanted to collaborate with teachers in other departments so I made an effort to observe outside of my department and it was amazing #masterychat
A2. My kids presented passion projects during @geniushour They created service projects, informed student body and staff about Autism /Down Syndrome and spread kindness so many ways: leaving kind notes in library books, cards on cars, etc... #MasteryChat
A1: I'd like to think we're at a solid 5. We're still building the culture, with all stakeholders. We've made tremendous gains this year though! #MasteryChat
A3: I collaborated with my fellow teammates on projects and writing grants and implementing a coding club, buddy reading, mentoring. It helps provide a purpose for staff and students. #masterychat
A3 - I worked a lot with our district tech department, my principal, and my department to implement new technology that opens doors for teachers to new patterns in their classroom. It was invigorating and I am excited to return to it later this year. #MasteryChat
A3: @mccall_kelley ,our principal. She and her leadership team brought the staff ideas to implement for a trauma-informed/trauma-responsive culture in our building. I saw a huge change in the culture in my classroom after adopting these practices. #MasteryChat
A2. I need to do better with this. My Ss did love using Seesaw this year to share their work with their families. They were allowed to choose their best pieces to share. We also UDL a few times. We had one that worked really well. The others need to be tweaked #MasteryChat
#MasteryChat Jerry Toups aka #JediOfBelieve checking in. Just finished riding my bike, mowing the yard, and walking the dog! Big day in my room. The kids made and completed the 2017 - 2018 #AlwaysBeliev sign.
A3: I'm very lucky to call @DMartesi a colleague. We have mostly the same views and ideas of how to innovate. But just enough honest & healthy discourse to keep pushing each other to make the best decisions for Ss #masterychat
A2: Students were empowered to be leaders through various clubs throughout my school. Two of my Ts started a Student Ambassador program which has been amazing to see grow! #MasteryChat
A3: I am forever grateful for the instructional leadership team at @HSESCheetahs and the shared vision drive that this group exhibited this year to improve student learning! #marriage#limitlessschool#masterychat
A5) Less space on earth; fewer resources; all earth's current issues would become even more urgent; perhaps there could be some benefit of having become very wise in our older age & implement changes. #masterychat
A3) I worked with two amazing aids in my classroom, one in math and one for students with IEPs. Without either of them Ss would have never made so much growth. I couldnโt do it without them #MasteryChat
A3- honesty here, I was in a single relationship for most of this year. But Iโve lined up a few new mates for next year. #beingsingleisntallthat#masterychat
The stress of the year and life can slowly erode the first few weeks of positivity...Sticking together and having some breaks to reset and refresh always help #MasteryChat
A2: We have a student advisory committee through our honor society and the officers advise me on student matters or how to better improve our school. They are required to serve the community through volunteering. Here are the officers in my office. #MasteryChat
A3 My school psychologist and my ESL coordinator (she was a great help this year). Also my #masterychat educators were/are great. I am so fortunate to be part of this group
A2. I need to do better with this. My Ss did love using Seesaw this year to share their work with their families. They were allowed to choose their best pieces to share. We also tried UDL a few times. We had one that worked really well. The others need to be tweaked #MasteryChat
Showing them what "CAN" be done goes a long way. You're not going to have everyone always on board (though it would be nice), but you can control what you can control. #MasteryChat#LimitlessSchool
I worked closely with @aprylthompson this year. We went to @IMSEOG training together in the fall. We learned so much and worked to implement it with our students. It was great. #MasteryChat
A3 @Malone_25@brittneyburge23 Dr .E, built a PLC program to provide near eal time access to studnt information to better inform instruction and give students a voice beyond just number Data #masterychat
A3: I worked closely with my principal this year to support the vision of the school, and to earn STEM certification through application and school visit. We're also implementing a #PBL model, so we worked closely through that, too. #MasteryChat
A3: Building partnerships is key. I was able to work with a great team - another self-contained teacher, counselors, psychologists, administrators, and content area teachers to support students academically, socially, and vocationally. Planning is still ongoing. #masterychat
A3) My fellow SPED teacher, who also teaches the same grades, we modeled our classes after each other, as well as provided each other places for behaviors. #masterychat
A3: I work closely with school psych and SW to support Ss and families with Maslow needs so they can get to Blooms. Also supported K teachers this year with some significant behavioral issues. It takes a team. #MasteryChat
A3)cont. I also enjoyed teaming up with other grade levels this year and planning projects that allowed Ss to lead and work together @MrsOrellana4@JodiJjohnson#MasteryChat
A3: Not a specific who, but working closely with Ss parents to let them know what is happening in the classroom and how they can help their Ss has helped my students grow and learn not only in the classroom but at home as well
A3: I always run ideas past my best friend who is an IC to see if there is something Iโm not considering or a blind spot that I may have. We are constantly talking about how to improve classrooms and teaching strategies. #masterychat
A3 This may have to be a desciption of a polygamous wedding! @RaeHughart@jeffgargas and @chadostrowski have changed my world as an educator! I have never met a group of people that pushed me to grow more than these three! #masterychat
A3- I work a lot with first year Ts. When you hire a first year teacher, youโre investing in the culture of your building. You have to listen, guide, and provide them an opportunity to grow and show off what they can do. #MasteryChat
A3. I also have the opportunity to help out in the library. Working with the Ss on various projects, technology, reading materials, #booksnaps, coding, pixels, littlebits, etc. #masterychat

I always start by asking them what they think they are good at. I then move on to what would like to improve at. I've never had a ss be wrong. If they miss something, I simply mention it. Like "How do you feel about writing?" Its basically asking them a bunch of qs. #MasteryChat
