Welcome #EduGladiators to a NEW school year of chats about edu topics impacting our schools!
For the month of August, we will discuss the 3 pillars of #EduGladiators starting TODAY #leadership
First, who's here? Share your name & how you "gladiate" for students!
A1: Leading by example and most of all, being a positive, encouraging leader. Encouraging teachers to share their techniques, to present at conferences. #edugladiators
A1: I really cannonballed into Twitter and started reading about leadership. Books like #HackingLeadership and #LeadLAP have changed my perspective and I’m looking forward to implementing all I’ve learned as an administrator; really focusing on relationships. #EduGladiators
A1 This year I want to work with principals to empower more teacher leaders. It’s going to take all of us working together to move our Ss forward. #EduGladiators
A1 I'm learning to empower others by giving up control. As I give up control to Ts, they in turn give up control to Ss, allowing them to take charge of their own learning #EduGladiators
A1 I have developed my leadership skills over the past few years by being connected with PLN and learning from them, invested in working harder, building relationships #edugladiators
A1: I have embraced a coaching approach to my leadership. It is by far the best way everyone can evolve & improve through collaboration and action. #edugladiators
A1: communication and relationships with all stake holders —with my move to the JH this year have personally called every parent with a jh Ss to touch base! Most of these Ss I was there principal in Elem! These poor kids! #edugladiators
A1: I have embraced a coaching approach to my leadership. It is by far the best way everyone can evolve & improve through collaboration and action. #edugladiators
I started using #sbl about 3 years ago. It started to get a little traction with other staff. This year the district is starting the transition to #sbl and I get to be one of the core team and a district coach. Overall better measure of student academic achievement #EduGladiators
A1) to stop controlling every aspect of the classroom and what students do. Giving them more freedom to take risks and learn from mistakes #EduGladiators
A1 Unexpected (& sometimes uncomfortable leadership) experiences facilitating conversations about grades/grading practices. Dialogue in digital spaces increasingly cross-pollinating w/f2f building interactions. #edugladiators
A1: I am dedicated to working side by side with my Ts to improve their craft to do what is best for Ss. It is no longer about working as a boss and employee but as a cohesive unit to grow Ss! #EduGladiators
A1: True leadership is not about control. Rather, it's about empowerment—which means working to create an environment where students/teachers/colleagues can cultivate their OWN autonomy, agency, and self-control. #edugladiators
A1: My role as a leader has evolved in so many ways..Ive been developing my #PLN on Twitter which led me to amazing educators & books tht have shaped my thinking. Going all in & embracing tech in 1:1 clssroom focusing on S-Centered learning #edugladiators#Tlap#LCinnovation
A1) Always seeking ways to empower students. I'm working hard to encourage and empower teachers, too. It's about the multiplying good practices and growing sustainability. Pushing everyone to be better each day including myself #edugladiators
In my role as a leader, I facilitate the creation of systems of support that are effective at improving student outcomes for ALL students. #EduGladiators
A1: something I am hearing a lot here is “letting go” of control. Working on identifying and engaging with my triggers as a human has been helpful in this process. When do I get triggered and react, blocking a Student’s opportunity for growth? This is helpful work #EduGladiators
A1: As a classroom teacher I have become more confident in taking a leadership role in the school which has impacted the learning in my classroom. I have enjoyed taking a bigger role in helping organize professional development. #EduGladiators
A1: Learning how to be present in the moment (a little longer) especially while celebrating success before rushing off to the next task. #EduGladiators
A2) Leadership requires leaders to lead change by creating a shared vision that inspires and empowers others to belong to a cause greater than themselves. #EduGladiators
Q1 Always being open to challenge what I think I know has helped me to realize leadership is more about inspiration, support, trust, listening to and belief in people and less about directives and rules. #EduGladiators
A1: Through empowerment, encouragement, and having empathy for my staff they have the confidence and freedom to take chances and in turn empower our students! #EduGladiators
#Edugladiators hello from Tunisia, Monia Mahmoudi computer science teacher in a middle school, in my classroom I try to search leaders and push all my SS to be leaders,
Reminds me of this Harriet Rubin quote that @gcouros brought before my eyes: "Freedom is actually a bigger game than power. Power is about what you can control. Freedom is about what you can unleash." https://t.co/kyJLWtM8a9#edugladiators
A1: Twitter and lots of reading has broadened my perspective. So many ideas. For me the key is to not get overwhelmed and focus on my why. #EduGladiators

A1. We’ve radically overhauled EVERYTHING! From our new hands-on teacher #gamification training approach, PLCs, fully themed freshman orientation week, PLUS #QRBreakIN interactive summer reading exams for all grade levels. Student centered. Changing the world. #EduGladiators
A1. School Leadership is no longer just about management of buildings, books, students, and staff. It requires expertise in instructional leadership, human nature, organizational culture and effectiveness, fiscal management, safety, and talent development. #EduGladiators
A1. I believe by providing PD that allows the people in our organization to learn more about themselves and each other I am building collective efficacy which will lead to great impact with the kids we serve. #EduGladiators
A1: I try to hold myself accountable to actually DO what I post on Twitter. I wish everyone would help me be accountable and actually “walk the walk” #edugladiators
A2) Effective leaders do not search out consensus, rather they use their influence to mold the consensus of the collective to ensure the success of ALL students. #EduGladiators#MLK#DrKing
A2 Highly effective leaders must be able to take a SETBACK and turn it into a COMEBACK! These leaders will do what it takes to make it happen! #EduGladiators
A2: Able to communicate in multiple ways. Good listening skills. The ability to empower others. Creating a positive culture with collective efficacy. #EduGladiators
A2. The keys are to observe, assess, and learn. We must be informed by what is real not a sense of things and then we must make our passion for growth and improvement apparent #EduGladiators
Yes! Give them opportunities to try new things, take risks, get a little messy, and learn from it all. That cannot happen in a vacuum of control, but it can flourish in an environment filled with trust and agency. #edugladiators
A2) Focus on relationships and trust. Ask questions. Be patient. Be clear with expectations. Be willing to be flexible. Listen. Encourage risks and be gracious when there is failure. #edugladiators
Happy to hear you are getting off the porch #GOTP and taking healthy risks by letting some control go. Love that you are modeling the behaviors you want to see. #EduGladiators
A2. Wide range of communication with all stakeholders. Social media, Remind, face to face, email, phone, text, the list goes on. Communication across a wide variety of platforms is essential. #EduGladiators
Q2 In a new era of leadership leaders have to realize school needs to be more about kids and less about content. Our most important job is develop confident good people who have a love of learning not a prepreswcirbe vison of what we think thay should learn #EduGladiators
A2 Effective leaders listen for the wisdom around them, elevate the work of those traditionally marginalized, show genuine curiosity and compassion, and get out of their offices. #edugladiators
A2. I think also that we must work with everyone in our schools to identify the most personalized and effective way to keeep ourselves accountable towards goals based on growth. #EduGladiators
A1 Relationships built on trust to empower others. Results in growth for all members of the community. Helps others to develop goals and plans to reach those goals. #edugladiators
A2: Highly effective leaders must be able to seek out & listen to feedback, recognize strengths in others & empower those arnd them, approach each situation w empathy, know they cannot accomplish much alone, 👀 solutions not problems & always focus on the positive! #edugladiators
A2: Leaders have to be able to tell the why behind everything, explain their why of why they’re there, collaborate with staff and other leaders, communicate through many aspects #EduGladiators
A2: Courage to advocate for students. To voice concerns about unethical grading. To resist the blame game for why a student isn't achieving. #EduGladiators
A2: Able to communicate in multiple ways. Good listening skills. The ability to empower others. Creating a positive culture with collective efficacy. #EduGladiators
A1: My leadership has evolved by introducing a new method to teaching Spanish. I'm always eager to see students producing output in the target language, which transforms their learning experience, automatically making them a part of the class and not just in it. #EduGladiators
A2 Embrace new ideas, #Risk, Allow for Freedom. Be the blocker for the kids AND the Teachers. Open pathways and let them explore. Willing to tackle the tough problems head-on. It's not always about Keeping a job but doing what's right. #edugladiators
A2: I am super upfront with Ss about my weaknesses and areas where I need to be better! I ask them to be understanding, tolerant, and work with me to become a better leader! We are all in this together for kids!#edugladiators
A2: Effective leaders must know when to be patient and when to be persistent. They must also be active listeners and reflective thinkers. #EduGladiators
A2 Active listener, effective communicator, a coach that models the way, always treats others with respect while appreciating there will sometimes be ‘fails’ along the way. #edugladiators
A2. Highly effective leaders add values to the organization. Their leadership makes the organization better. They are more than a place holder on the org chart. They are not important because of the position they hold, but because of the value they add. #EduGladiators
That's a great quote, & l love @gcouros work! The quote represents misuse of power. Power doesn't have to be about what you can control. Power can be used to unleash freedom. As leaders, we are often in put in positions of power, but we can use it to empower! 🌟 #edugladiators
A2. Trust. People won't follow you if they don't trust you. Show up. Listen. Follow Through. Value input. Tell them the truth...even when it's hard. #EduGladiators
I agree and I would add that we just have to keep changing how we deliver the same message so that everyone can receive it in a way that makes sense for them. #EduGladiators
A3: biggest myth: the strength of positional power. Deferent, expert, reward, coercive power much stronger. Positional power is actually the most fragile of power #EduGladiators
In reply to
@EduGladiators, @D4Griffin3, @BrendanFetters, @mgrosstaylor, @Rdene915, @PaulONeill1972, @SaneeBell, @mccoyderek, @RyanBJackson1, @Maverikedu12, @cskiles80
Clear expectations and patience are important when helping others to grow. Flexibility when things don’t always go as planned helps build trust from others too. #edugladiators
A2) Focus on relationships and trust. Ask questions. Be patient. Be clear with expectations. Be willing to be flexible. Listen. Encourage risks and be gracious when there is failure. #edugladiators
A3) #Leadership in education is about #learning not managing. The learning that occurs (or does not occur) will ultimately shape our world in the future. #EduGladiators
A3 Leader misconception... Has all the answers and is the ONE! As the "leader" build up others around you so that the team, the room, the school is the leader. #edugladiators
A2 Leadership is effective when things aren't complicated. It will always be about caring for the needs of others and empowering them to learn and grow. #edugladiators
A3: That you’re “above” teachers. Huge misconception. To demystify this, it’s important to be in there WITH the Ts. And show that we’re not a separate breed per say haha, but that we’re all in this TOGETHER, and for the same purpose. #EduGladiators
A2 Effective leadership requires us to listen. The smartest person in the room....is the room. It’s not about “Me” it’s about “We” and what can “We” do that is best for students! #EduGladiators
A3: Myth: Leader=administration. I’ve learned over the past few years that any role in the school can be a leader- teacher, custodian, assistant, student, parent. We are all leaders when we work toward a common goal and all play to our strengths. #edugladiators
A2. Highly effective leaders are especially skilled in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the team. They do this by capitalizing on the strengths of team members, developing leadership in others, and mitigating for weaknesses. #EduGladiators
A2 Building relationships and collaborating is key. Communications that it is okay to make mistakes while trying new things. Being transparent and helping with balance and self care is needed more than ever #EduGladiators
A3 That you need a title to be a leader, you don't, anyone can lead, it is about taking action, doing something to help others, to make others have greater opps, to empower others #edugladiators
A3: A leader brings others up, encourages them, knows that they have those who depend on them. Identify other leaders, cultivate them and recruit them to be strong leaders themselves and believe in them. #edugladiators
Agreed, so not true, students are leaders, we don't need a specific title to lead, everyone can be a leader, it's in your actions to benefit others #edugladiators
I agree, I think musch of our conflict at school is not a dispute over values but over miscommunication in terms of how the message is received. Let's face it everyone working in schools want to help kids grow the key is how. #EduGladiators
A3: biggest myth: the strength of positional power. Deferent, expert, reward, coercive power much stronger. Positional power is actually the most fragile of power #EduGladiators
In reply to
@EduGladiators, @D4Griffin3, @BrendanFetters, @mgrosstaylor, @Rdene915, @PaulONeill1972, @SaneeBell, @mccoyderek, @RyanBJackson1, @Maverikedu12, @cskiles80
A2: Highly effective leaders should be reflective in this #newera of leadership. What could I have done differently? Did I listen to words AND body language? Was I available and open to hear ideas? There's always space for a mirror.👁🔎 #EduGladiators
A2. Fortune favors the bold. Leaders have to be willing to jump right in alongside their teams in the trenches! Our principal @patton_carl joined my 11th graders as they toured an abandoned insane asylum. #TALA. THAT’s the kind of leadership our students need. #EduGladiators
Agree! Modeling is essential to good leadership. In PD: model the way we want Ts to teach; in our actions: model respect, model caring, model risk taking. What we do sends such a strong message. #EduGladiators
A2: Highly effective leaders are servant leaders. They empower others by truly seeing them, building relationships through authentic dialogue, and building a vision and culture together. #edugladiators
A3: That leaders are administration. Anyone can be a leader, even young teachers. It only takes someone with a vision of how teaching can be better and the courage to take that risk. Most importantly, then, to share the outcomes, good or bad #EduGladiators
A3 Help others to recognize their leadership skills, share stories, encourage others to put themselves out there to help lift others up, seek opportunities for growth and lead the way slightly, be there to support them #edugladiators
A3. The biggest misconceptions that only those with select titles can lead. Anybody can lead. Leadership is about what you do, your will, your work ethic, your example. You don’t need a title to lead...just a commitment and desire to do your very best everyday! #EduGladiators
Q3 Leadership is not about what title you hold it is about your actions and your intent and your desire to make where every you work better #EduGladiators
A2: I think we need to listen to our stakeholders, develop a plan, and use tone and approach to create buy in. After that we need to follow through and empower our people to execute the plan. Plan your work. Work your plan. #EduGladiators#EdLeadership#LeadLAP
IMO it’s that the leader will have all the answers. Great leaders surrounds themselves with the right people to ensure great feedback and team work. #EduGladiators
A3. The misconception that the title of "leader" in some capacity is needed to lead. Any time you stand up, assist peers, the school community, spark a change that is doing what's best for kids is in fact leading. #EduGladiators
A3) That the leader is the “boss” and knows it all. We always need to allow others strengths to shine out and be transparentthay we don’t know everything #EduGladiators
A3: Biggest misconception is a leader is the person with the title. If we live by the traits we mentioned in question 2 then someone from the outside could walk in to our building and see there are leaders in all areas of our school. #EduGladiators
A3:Myth: Leaders have all the answers. We combat this myth by being transparent as leaders and modeling the willingness to take risks, continual learn, and grow. #EduGladiators
A3. That the leader means that all decision making and accountablity solely rests on the leader. Successful leadership (the really ugly mirror that drives me) is how well am I conveying this is a collective enterprise #EduGladiators
A3) Leadership is not always administrative. Some of the most powerful leaders are students & young adults. Authentic leaders in learning. #EduGladiators
A3: Differentiating between boss and leader. Being able to get out of the office and work with the stakeholders and not just in my office doing paperwork. Compliance is important, but Ss and Ts come first! #EduGladiators
A3: I would say the biggest myth is that the leader has all the answers.
Not true.
Be honest when you are unsure. Do not hesitate to get help & support from others.
Leadership is a team sport.
#edugladiators
A3 Potential myth: All leaders are extroverts who exert cults of personality. Demystification move: Lead quietly, personally via investing in 1-on-1, face-to-face interactions that build teamwork network in increments. #edugladiators.
A3 One of the biggest misconceptions with the term “leader” is that you have to be a principal to lead. Teachers, parents, and most importantly Ss can lead change in our schools. #EduGladiators
A3: The biggest misconception is that leaders are in control of everything and call all the shots. That's not a leader. To demystify this, you don't mandate your culture, vision, expectations, etc. Rather, you build those things together. #edugladiators
A3. That "leadership" meaning administration has all the answers or should make all the decisions. Most often the people in the front lines have more relevant perspectives and solutions. #EduGladiators
A3 That leaders have titles which creates an ‘us vs. them’ dynamic. Leaders are found at every level - including the student level! Recognizing that develops a community of ‘we’ to bring out the best in all members. #edugladiators
A3. Leaders don’t just point to a new task and say “go do it.” They rally beside you and say “let’s do it!” Just like teachers don’t just point and tell kids what to do. We must model the sort of leadership we want to see in our #studentcentered classrooms. #EduGladiators
A2: Highly effective leaders are servant leaders. They empower others by truly seeing them, building relationships through authentic dialogue, and building a vision and culture together. #edugladiators
A4: authentic Student leadership requires teachers who value dissent and students who stand-out (are outstanding). #ClearTheAir is teaching me this. #EduGladiators
In reply to
@EduGladiators, @D4Griffin3, @BrendanFetters, @mgrosstaylor, @Rdene915, @PaulONeill1972, @SaneeBell, @mccoyderek, @RyanBJackson1, @Maverikedu12, @cskiles80
A4 Encourage Ss to take the lead in the classroom, also share their ideas and tech tips with educators, lead PD, go out and share in the community, definitely from activities like clubs and a @TED_ED club . #edugladiators
A4: I actually just started this, this past week. At our new family orientation, I invited 10-15 Ss in to serve as mentors for new Ss. This allowed them to meet the new Ss and help them get acquainted with the school. As well, they will serve as too models! #EduGladiators
For years I did not consider myself a leader, I have developed my abilities more by seeing Ss rise up and lead, and wanting to do more for them #edugladiators
A3: Roll up Ur sleeves and get dirty! Help the custodial staff clean up, serve in the lunch line, thank bus drivers, empower Tt, communicate with parents, believe in Ss! All in a days work! #edugladiators
A3: Differentiating between boss and leader. Being able to get out of the office and work with the stakeholders and not just in my office doing paperwork. Compliance is important, but Ss and Ts come first! #EduGladiators
To clarify: if a particular individual or team contributes to the improvement in the organization’s effectiveness their impact creates a ripple effect in the organization. Great leaders make everyone around them better by their example! Excellence is contagious! #EduGladiators
A2. Highly effective leaders add values to the organization. Their leadership makes the organization better. They are more than a place holder on the org chart. They are not important because of the position they hold, but because of the value they add. #EduGladiators
A4. Continuing to expand our usage of student leaders within my school. @PosProject and @TheLeaderinMe provide a strong platform for this along with ongoing student voice/choice in the classroom and beyond. #EduGladiators
A4: Developing meaningful relationships with my Ss right away, so I can recognize their strengths & how to empower them in the classroom/school. Student voice & choice is key. I’m also looking for ways this year in which we can connect and share globally. #edugladiators
I think the challenge is activating everyone in our buildings to understand the importance of leadership in regard to transforming not just making a difference in the lives of children #EduGladiators
A1 My students learning experiences have drastically changed over the last 2 years with lots of student choice to demonstrate their learning #edugladiators
Good point - leaders can be found at all levels, including our students. We should work on helping them develop the leadership skills that are so important to future success. #EduGladiators
A3 That leaders have titles which creates an ‘us vs. them’ dynamic. Leaders are found at every level - including the student level! Recognizing that develops a community of ‘we’ to bring out the best in all members. #edugladiators
Q4-develop our leadership council which gives students a foruum to be heard ...model for my teachers, principals and support staff that respecting what kids have to say , and being open to their ideas is a good thing that can envoke positivw change #EduGladiators
A4: Good question! I want to get my kids involved in more community-connected projects, such as multi-genre writing unit based on some part of community history. Then make these available in the local museum. #edugladiators
A4: My district is embracing #PBL and I think through projects that involve solutions to real life problems students can learn a lot about and show #leadership#EduGladiators
A4: We have students as part of our PBIS implementation team, older students mentoring younger students, leadership through clubs, etc. Give them opportunities to lead and support them. #EduGladiators
A4 Creating a culture of student leaders requires us to shift our mindset. We are no longer the only voice in the room. Allow Ss to drive the collaboration and instruction in our classrooms. #EduGladiators
A4. I’m letting my Ss lead their own learning. Going to be using pbl in my flipped classes. It will also requirethe use of student lab aids for a day. #edugladiators
A4: Respect students. Never forget that #kidsarepeopletoo. Make them an integral part of important conversations. We spend so much time talking about what Ss need, etc. But how often do we ask them? We must ask them! https://t.co/7Bv59Wtn8z#edugladiators
That’s one of my projects this year. Want to help them put a footprint in their communities in different and more impactful ways. Thinking outside the box right now. #edugladiators
Thanks to the @EduGladiators crew for the great chat today! I've got to hit the road, but great inspiration to start this last weekend of summer! #edugladiators
A4: Encouraging student voice within our teaming structures. I’m excited that our PBIS teams are including students in their decision making. #edugladiators
A4. @EquityMaps is just so powerful in helping create a culture of classroom leaders. Think “@fitbit for Socratic Seminar.” Students get real time feedback & learn how to lead, share, and strengthen their own classroom dialogue. And the results look like THIS. #edugladiators
A4. I'm creating a Principal Advisory Council of students in grades 5-8. They will give me feedback about academics, programs, they will attend leadership training, a new leadership path #EduGladiators
I kind of have one at my school, have taken Ss to diff edtech conferences to present, also had them do PD at my school, they are great to learn from and they develop their skills as well #edugladiators
A4 When Ss come up with an idea for the school, I ask them if they'd like to be in charge of making it happen. Supporting them as they learn to lead can give amazing results. #EduGladiators
A4) I want to continue to build upon our past learning. Ask them what problems they want to solve & let them find their solutions. Offer many outlets for them to explore their own creativity. #EduGladiators
A4 If good leadership is about listening, showing compassion, and having the willingness to struggle in the service of what matters, then let’s cultivate those qualities in our students. #EduGladiators
My experience with this has been amazing, their learning and taking over class with #pbl and also creating lessons with diff tools to teach their peers is definitely the way to go #edugladiators
A4: I would love to see student leadership opportunities stem out from a project-based learning approach in classrooms. Authentic learning situations based on student passions.
A recipe for success!
#edugladiators#pbl
A3: The biggest misconception with the term leader in education is that it means supervisor - that they’re there to make sure we’re doing our jobs correctly. Demystifying the position would require us to view them as resources and NOT our bosses. Huge ask for some. #EduGladiators
In reply to
@EduGladiators, @D4Griffin3, @BrendanFetters, @mgrosstaylor, @Rdene915, @PaulONeill1972, @SaneeBell, @mccoyderek, @RyanBJackson1, @Maverikedu12, @cskiles80
A3: Biggest misconception in leadership: only certain ppl can.
How to demystify that myth: watch them work on a task they enjoy - without micromanaging. The results are amazing! #edugladiators
A3. That Leaders lead the school & everyone else follows. We need to practice what we preach-
Empower teachers just like we empower our kids❤️We are in this together for OUR KIDS 💗#bettertogether#EduGladiators
A4: one of my goals this year is to step up my learning! I need to learn and respect the academic rigor/pressure that Ss feel! Need to step up my game as a new JH principal!#edugladiators
I think one of the key functions in teaching leadership is to let students know it's ok to make mistakes. I'm a music teacher. I start every class by saying, "No one in this room has made more mistakes than me. We learn and grow from our mistakes." #EduGladiators
Featured in our final issue of Career Counselors' Corner is Elizabeth Goodwin (JD '08)! Elizabeth is a movie buff and a fan of documentaries & podcasts. She also works on political campaigns in her spare time. Learn about Elizabeth's career & more: https://t.co/MbEr1KvOqI#WFULaw
A4 would like to increase their involvement with the PBIS team and for ideas regarding changes they would like to see build their voice and skills #EduGladiators
Incorporated a student mentoring/ school aide program with early release Ss (after hearing a friend say Ss volunteer for that at her HS). Not sure if it's "leadership" for that student, but it is something we haven't done before, and it beats roaming campus! 💪 #edugladiators
Great way to start thinking school! Have a great week and let’s do amazing things for our schools and communities this year! Good luck and have fun #edugladiators
#EduGladiators A1 We work hard on school culture and want every student to feel inspired and welcome. Ex: this video. I would love to connect with more educators to follow. | Back To School Vlog: What's New at Lafayette? What's New with you? https://t.co/8zUZdRNqAs via @YouTube
A2: Highly effective leaders in the #newera of #education should be relationship builders, listeners, compassionate, & not only willing to ask the hard questions but ready to act to ensure they are doing what’s best for students and learning. #EduGladiators#KidsDeserveIt#edchat
A2: #EduGladiators The key qualities of honesty, having a clear vision , communication, holding themselves accountable, and keeping students as the focus for all decisions
Saudi bombers in #Yemen kill 50 people, 29 of them schoolchildren: #Saudi spokesperson Turki Al-Malki: "We targeted all elements on the bus. The bus is a legitimate military target based on accurate follow up by the joined forces intelligence! #OpDeSanitize#Yemen@POTUS
A2: something I’m learning. Navigating our emotional triggers and keeping them in check becomes much more challenging when we are stressed and burning out. Our triggers block student success #EduGladiators
A3: People often associate “leader” with “boss.” Leaders can be anyone from any level. You don’t need a title or an office to be a leader. #EduGladiators#edchat#leadership
Celebrate forty years with the best gifts or bring a gift to your friend or father or grandfather and share the celebration.

Muhammad speaks of Fundamentalists in his book Transforming School Culture. Great read & applicable as I work more to be more intentional in speaking up when behaviors do not match the beliefs we indicate in our school’s mission statement. @newfrontier21#EduGladiators
A4 I run an online book club throughout the year and try encourage reading for #PD throughout the summer, anyone can join in when they can. https://t.co/NbiJCc3r2f#nt2t
A2- #EduGladiators - I think an effective leader is someone who understands the culture of the school and the teachers on the staff. They create an environment of positivity and family. They are the light to help others shine⭐️ I feel blessed to have thanks @debbierabideau
