#TLAP#PrincesOfSerendip
A1: Definitely disappointed my parents a time or two when growing up. Now the person I disappoint the most is ME. When my emotions get the best of me, the needs of others take backseat & that interferes with my mission in life to serve others selflessly. #TLAP#PrincesOfSerendip
A1.
A1. I forgot to do a very important task. I let my others down. I sulked in my own misery and rethought that day 1000 times. Reflected. Apologized. Worked harder for my kids and school. Everyone makes mistakes. We can’t beat ourselves up too much. #tlap#PrincesOfSerendip
A1: Oh my, I’m sure I disappointed my mom & dad a time or two 😂 In all serious though, disappointments lead to realizations & reflections... own up to your mistakes and be open with your communication. Apologize sincerely when needed! #tlap@AllysonApsey#PrincesOfSerendip
A1 being married for 10 years, I have definitely disappointed my lovely wife a time or two. I have learned to quickly own it, apologize and do what I needed to do to make it right. A wise person once taught me it's not about who's right, it's about what's right. #tlap

Q1: The princes' father, the king, was disappointed in their laziness. Tell us about a time you disappointed someone and what you decided to do about it.
#TLAP#PrincesOfSerendip
A1: This is a regular occurrence for us humans. Best thing I've learned to do is own it, apologize, then fix it is that's possible. Never easy, but always the best way to handle it. #tlap
A1: When I was struggling in math, I felt like I was disappointing my college professor who stayed after school to work with me one on one. She reassured me that she would never give up on me, and that made a world of difference. Now, I worry about letting myself down. #tlap
A1: I know that I disappointed my parents a few times in high school even though I was generally a great kid. Now, I do disappoint myself the most. #tlap
A1-Going light on my answer tonight...told my 2 year old it was too cold to go out and play in the snow....5 minutes later we were outside having a snowball fight! #tlap
A1- I’m the mom of a teenager- I’m always disappointing https://t.co/15nAQKO6a8 matter who it is though, I try to be realistic and either make the decision that it’s ok, or figure something I can learn from the situation. #TLAP
A1: Interestingly enough, I think I often am disappointed in myself. What didn't I do to connect with this family, this teacher or this kid. How could I have been better #tlap
A1: Disappointed my Son last night when dinner was not what he hoped/asked for! Had to pick a battle with a sic year old, slight tweak was made, everyone happy - YAY! #tlap

A1: Definitely disappointed my parents a time or two back in my teenage years. But I usually owned up to my mistakes, took responsibility and restored their faith in me. I definitely learn from the disappointing mistakes. #tlap
Now that I think about it...he kinda is. But, I still like that fairytale for some reason. ;) I think it's the whole idea of dreaming big and letting nothing get in your way. hehe... #tlap
A1: I felt like I dissapointed myself and Ss with my teaching a few years ago. I decided to read and revamp my classroom and created a new history experience for all! #TLAP
A1 In leadership positions like we are all in we are going to let peopme down. I try my best to learn from the moment, apologize for it, and do my best to not let it happen again. Biggest thing is to own it! #tlap
A1: In my personal life, going through a divorce I know that I disappointed at least one person. I had to stay positive about my why and what was going to be best for me and my future. #tlap

Q2: The princes set off in different directions to live as common villagers.
If you were not an educator, what profession would you explore?
#TLAP#PrincesOfSerendip

A6: It's important for me to be able to back up what I'm doing, because sometimes the things that I'm doing will come under fire and challenge the status quo (the more involved with Twitter and my #4OCFPLN, the more I want to change it all!) #tlap

A1: Earlier in my career I thought everything someone said to me required action. I was defensive and aggressive. I disappointed my Principal and I disappointed myself when I got into an argument with a co-worker.#tlap

Q7: The Princes of Serendip is based on a sixteenth-century Persian tale. What fable or fairytale would you want to rewrite and why? #TLAP#PrincesOfSerendip
My wife and I had been married one month to the day when we had this accident. Three compression fractures in my back-T3, T4, and T5. Never have been in so much pain in all my life. Back brace for 2 and 1/2 months. Not the best way to spend one's first year of marriage #tlap

A7: Cinderella has always been my favorite. If I could rewrite it I would love 4 her father 2B a part of her life. I would write him lost and eventually finding his way home. Maybe just in time 4 the wedding It saddens me that she lost both her parents at such a young age. #tlap
Q7: The Princes of Serendip is based on a sixteenth-century Persian tale. What fable or fairytale would you want to rewrite and why? #TLAP#PrincesOfSerendip

A6 I have learned that it’s important to surround yourself with people who are different from you and to listen and learn from them! Wish I would have done this years ago. #tlap
#tlap Hopefully I can spend the last years of my teaching career influencing other educators on the power of #AlwaysBelieve in Yourself as the first rule. #ItWorks and is the secret to #GrowthMindset

A7: The Boy Who Cried Wolf b/c he was just a bored kid testing limits...that is the kid who needed a bit more patience, maybe a buddy in the field or on the hill to keep him company, not a lesson in adults saying we'll ignore you until an emergency. #tlap
Years ago. Been married a long time. My back hurts just thinking about that experience. I realized how tough my wife is. #tlap 14 year later and we are still going strong.
A7. I honestly don't know what fairy tale I'd rewrite. I love them all so much. Maybe I'll write my own, already got some ideas after this chat! Thanx so much! #tlap
A7: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I’d love to tell it from a teachers viewpoint. Including the unique abilities for each student and how we combine them all to live happily ever after! #TLAP
And I'm fine with them being in distress, but couldn't they innovate something about their plight? Do they have to only be rescued? Can they aid the prince in rescuing them? Can they find a way to escape & meet up with their rescuer as they are escaping? :) #tlap
Thank you SO much for joining us tonight! You are amazing!
You can pick up your copy of The Princes of Serendip on Amazon: https://t.co/DVxBwDi4nI#TLAP
A7- I would rewrite all the Fairytales where the Prince has to save the day for the Princess. The Princess would save themselves and everyone too. They would kick butt because they are women and they would ROAR! #tlap
A6: Feeling especially grateful lately for the amazing friends and family in my life that are always there for me unconditionally and love me exactly as I am. Try to be present always and cherishing moments with those I love. #tlap
A7: I want to rewrite the Hansel and Gretel story from the point of view of the witch. The witch would not be evil or insensitive. The witch would be welcoming and a hero to the kids. She would help them home. #tlap
