  • ViciaScience May 8 @ 3:00 PM EDT
What CPD events have had an impact on your practice? #ASEChat

CPD via dept, school, twilight, conference, course, further study - which works for you? #ASEChat
  • ViciaScience May 8 @ 3:04 PM EDT
I think an idea needs to have impact on you individually before you consider trying something new in the classroom #ASEChat

Hi Steve. 'Impact' - not easy to assess effect of change in classroom practice #asechat

    In reply to @ViciaScience
  • RacingCM May 8 @ 3:06 PM EDT
Do we need to always be adding new ideas? Developing existing ideas so the kids have consistently can't be a bad thing... #ASEChat
    In reply to @ViciaScience
  • chemDrK May 8 @ 3:06 PM EDT
Our school now sets aside time for us to meet with colleagues &discuss practice, then observe each other. Finding it really useful #asechat

    In reply to @ViciaScience, @SKLchem
  • OLewis_coaching May 8 @ 3:09 PM EDT
Given that everyone has different needs, a mix of all the above across a dept is good! #ASEchat
    In reply to @ViciaScience
  • NeedhamL56 - Moderator May 8 @ 3:09 PM EDT
Extends the engagement time with PD, (not just in a ‘session’ ) more likely to influence what happens in c/room #ASEChat
  • aweetweettosay May 8 @ 3:09 PM EDT
Think yes, but process is slower. Shared conversation and reflection is important -both for teacher motivation & development #ASEChat
    In reply to @ViciaScience
  • ViciaScience May 8 @ 3:09 PM EDT

  • chemDrK May 8 @ 3:15 PM EDT
yes. But this is, unfortunately, one of the trickiest things for schools to find! But I think it's worth prioritising. #ASEChat
