A1: I attempt to get Walkthrough feedback in mailboxes that same day.
A1: Year 2 of 5D, still kinks to work out & skills to improve on my end but such an improvement over past https://t.co/neT9Dmjw7n
Q1: How are things doing with your teacher evaluation system? Are there skills you need to improve to give better feedback?
A1 - My local principals are asking for more assistance with Pivot. Are other principals asking for more Pivot training?
Nice! Do you use a form of some kind or is that written feedback? https://t.co/qPjNXHdcSc
A1: I attempt to get Walkthrough feedback in mailboxes that same day.
"Why I" was great! Chris Wigent was our speaker! Your inspiring speech was referenced several times too!
A2: if I can't get official document back that day, I at least share FB on a post-it!
We found Pivot to be pretty intuitive for the obs/feedback but have not used many adv features https://t.co/6WK51poVSY
A1 - My local principals are asking for more assistance with Pivot. Are other principals asking for more Pivot training?
A1: 1st year with Thoughtful Classroom. I've learned a lot!
We have an electronic format in Ohio
Funny you say that! We have webinars planned & we are also weaving it more into framework training. https://t.co/f4DnUlfuXE

Great! Is the learning curve the framework or the process on your end? https://t.co/KkDeov7DjW
A1: 1st year with Thoughtful Classroom. I've learned a lot!
. A1 Staff do appreciate same day feedback so I always release walk through and observation notes same day.
Great- teachers really appreciate that more immediate feedback. I remember waiting weeks when I was a T. https://t.co/9fNmthiEAW
A2: if I can't get official document back that day, I at least share FB on a post-it!
The Yoopers in Region 1 will appreciate that. :) https://t.co/iD0Zz4Rkrf

A1: I have teachers using the coding in observations with the rubrics as a reflection tool. What indicators are observed or not.
Good work! Extra bonus points for that as an AP- constant fires for you too I bet. https://t.co/bGfHPSW7JJ

Both for sure! More comfortable with framework, see ways to be more efficient going forward.
Q2: What domains or dimensions of the evaluation framework will you focus on with your staff for next year?

Q3: How can you support the improvement of instructional practice for all teachers (new, vets, struggling, etc.)?
Toughest to go from good to great! Best Ts have that inner drive to constantly improve https://t.co/zQz6x6oEhN
A3: The better the teacher, the deeper the conversation needs to be. Finding growth edges can be tricky.
A3: Focus on students' needs. Instructional practices have to meet the needs of the learners.

This is a challenge for a new admin in training. Do you have any strategies to identifying these "growth edges?"
Q4: Were you pleased with the progress you made on your SIP goals this year? Where will you focus for the 2016-17 school year?
Totally agree! All teachers can benefit from observing others, especially when there's an outstanding model!
A3: Support imp of instruction:
Personalize PD
Offer quality feedback
Make it relevant
Provide resources/support
Accountability
Yes, we always go back to scripted evidence & look for areas that can be shifted up the rubric. https://t.co/BfXYASxphs

The 10,000 hour rule. It just takes time and practice. I know I still have room to improve!
Hello Connie! Way to jump in and make is sound easy! :) https://t.co/ewbUeQbmFh

we have Ts do 6 peer observations a yr using a scaled down rubric from 5D. All can learn from @ other. https://t.co/hwNwuLjEZb
Q3: How can you support the improvement of instructional practice for all teachers (new, vets, struggling, etc.)?
A4: implemented 5D this year CEC and SE. Next year we roll out purpose and assessment. Two BIGGIES, but relevant for all.
Teacher self-evals! Have Ts examine language of rubric indicators & identify where they can improve
Why scaled down rubric? You mean some dimensions?
What's the 10,000 rule? Who has 10,000 hours? https://t.co/CSv5RF3gEq
The 10,000 hour rule. It just takes time and practice. I know I still have room to improve!

La la la...I can't hear you...don't talk about a scaled down rubric! https://t.co/bmCFYAZyMY
I would love to see the scaled-down rubric
they're comfortable looking for LT, SC, and student engagement and give feedback. They reflect together afterward
Sounds like a great webline or a breakout at a conference. I'd love to hear about that. https://t.co/paReqCATKE

Outliers, by Malcolm Gladwell. To get good at anything, it takes a lot of time and effort, long story short
A4: Many past goals focused on ACT data. Our SIP needs to include more measures--SLO & 5D for example https://t.co/pnWx3J9cbS
Q4: Were you pleased with the progress you made on your SIP goals this year? Where will you focus for the 2016-17 school year?

But couldn't Ts just be focusing on some of the indicators in peer obs?? Like just the LT/SC in purpose, for instance?
