I enjoy the ways we can use visual/non-verbal expressions 2 communicate effectively. Our Ss can benefit from this concept.

Q1: You need to be able to relate to your students so you know where they are coming from.
A1. Know your Ss. Before each year begins, I review all S files and assess notes before redesigning room to suit incoming group.
A1: know/read your students & provide for representation, expressive platforms & adjust engagement.
A1: Emphathy is requires respectful inquiry, willingness to listen more than speak, and a desire understand others.
A1: By creating environments, we are teaching our students to embrace variability, fostering the development of empathy
A1) We have been students ourselves. Reflecting on our struggles makes us open to Ss struggles and findings ways to help them.
A1 the better I know my students, the more we can engage with one another. The more we engage, the better we can show empathy.
A1 Meeting our students where they are and eliminating threats and distractions (especially those unseen)

Being equitable means providing all students with what they NEED to be successful
