I 'm so glad to share with all of you
A1: Just left the classroom to consult so my goal is to get into as many classrooms as possible. Twitter and FB as well.
Cynthia Day in Vermont. Here's link to my opinion piece https://t.co/XGv3G9W76z about Maker Culture and the Arts in school
Welcome, Cynthia! Glad you could make it :)
A1: Using networks via university programs, professional development platforms, and social media
A1 Social Media, face to face meetings, would like to start leveraging webinars this year.
A1: I develop my PLN thru social media & conferences like etc
thx! Great to be here learning and collaborating with you all!
A1) One way is to participate in Twitter chats. There are some chats I especially love. It's one way I continue to connect.
Oh snap, when did you move to Indiana, Sean??
Hey Cynthia! Hope all is well.
I know the feeling! Hoping to get into classrooms to support more students and teachers with
I love meeting my PLN in person!

I've found that Twitter chats are the best way for me to do this. I usually attend this one & on Mon
A1: Inviting educators from around New England into my classroom to observe and discuss best practice re: blended learning

Q1: How do you plan on connecting with your local community of educators this year?
I bought a VR S ( virtual reality) to improve my lessons and make more interactive
Really would like to engage stakeholders beyond Ts and Ss, community parents etc.
Way easier for online PD, but nothing beats F2F for conversations & building connections https://t.co/nESuDjEZ8f
Do you ever find that it's tough to balance the F2F with the online PD?
Building courses for educators on and love reviewing videos on Teaching channel
oooOOOOooo - how's it working so far?
A1 Also attended a Maker Places Conference with a broad mix of Maker/Educators in Vermont for networking and guest speakers.
That's my concern, tho. Are we losing out on more of that F2F in favor of the ease of online?
It can be bc online is instant & always available. However, face-to-face provides more depth leading to strong convo.
I feel like if we get the first few "dates" out of the way online the F2F are better
I see F2F PD as extension of relationships & connections made online. But facetime is costly
Q2 coming up in 1 minute…
