His father, traveled to Germany and became inspired by the Protestant Reformation leader Martin Luther. As a result, King Sr. changed his own name as well as that of his 5-year-old son.

A2: Reading the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. We learned the historical context of the book and that really opened my eyes to how different cultures were viewed. #Resiliencechat
A2: not sure it's culturally responsive or humanly, but I emphasize choose kindness and accountability daily.

A1) We watch his âDreamâ speech with our two daughters every year. We talk about it. And we attend the library storytime (led by a dear friend) who honors his memory every year. #resiliencechat
A2: On a personal note, I have am multi-ethnic and I have tasted different foods from around the world. And that has shown me a different side of culture. #ResilienceChat

A3: My theory is this: We are all human. Love is love. We all have a right to be heard, but we also have to listen. We all need to treat each other with respect and kindness. Stop the madness. Stand up even if it means standing alone. †#resiliencechat
A4: My dream is to go to @UCBerkeley after graduating/transferring from @solanocommcolle And at Berkeley I plan to major in Science. This is all thanks to my wonderful school district @FairfieldSuisun and my high school @FSUSD_ECHS#ResilienceChat (mind you, Iâm only a Sophomore)

A2) Youâll often find me and my wife and kids marching on capitols, chanting at rallies, or writing/calling politicians. All for causes that donât directly benefit us as straight white people. Weâre anti-injustice, no matter the victim we seek to assist. #resiliencechat

A3) Adequate funding for starters! And a frank discussion on whether homework should be a necessary/graded component of learning. Also, Iâd like schools to have on-site dentists and therapists with free services for kids. Maybe weekend food boxes to take home... #resiliencechat
