#ProsperISD chat open to all in and out of district teachers discussing best practices and working with students K-12. It will occur on the second Thursday of every month at 8:00pm CST.
It's time! Introduce yourself by telling us your role and your campus. Also, tell everyone what your favorite Holiday movie is! Make sure to include #Prosper4ward
A -1 -There are several important elements in lesson design: 1st - making sure that Ss understand the material. Digitizing assessments makes this check easy.2nd - differentiating/personalizing material. Google Classroom is great for that. #Prosper4ward
Hey everyone, I'm Michelle, district ITS, and I will be tweeting from the @PISDLiT account tonight. My favorite holiday movies are Elf and It's a Wonderful Life #Prosper4ward
If you're participating in #PISD12Days, don't forget to add that hashtag to tonight's tweets as well! I want to make sure I give everyone credit! #Prosper4ward
New to Twitter Chatting? No problem! Questions will be posted with a Q in front of them. You answer with an A and the number of the question in your answer. Don't forget to use #Prosper4ward in all of your tweets!
A2: I use the following tools for bell-ringers - Google Classroom - silent discussion; Nearpod - preview new material;Padlet - check for understanding of former lesson - Mentimeter - ask simple questions; Today's Meet - Online discussion.
#Prosper4ward
New to Twitter Chatting? No problem! Questions will be posted with a Q in front of them. You answer with an A and the number of the question in your answer. Don't forget to use #Prosper4ward in all of your tweets!
A1. Knowing your objective. I've said it before, a bad lesson is a bad lesson. Tech won't make it better. However, tech can help a good lesson become great! #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A1.1 The most important element of lesson design in the digital age is making sure that the digital learning tools chosen support the overall unit, and are executed at a high level. Don't just choose a "love app" unless it is what's best for kids! #Prosper4ward
A1: Choosing an appropriate (and safe) tool for the students to use is very important. The tool should enhance learning not distract the students. #prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A1—Some of the most important parts of lesson design in the digital age for kindergarten are: selecting appropriateness/difficulty, utilizing non-fiction resources, and implementing a time frame of tech usage. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A1-making learning meaningful for students-the tech tools should have connections to the TEKS, real life, and student learning #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A1: It doesn't matter if it's digital or not, lesson planning all starts with the Ss in mind. Start with the end and work backwards. What do I want my kids to know/gain out of this lesson? #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A1: backwards planning from the TEKS, THEN choosing a tech tool that fits the needs of your students...not the other way around #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A1.2 Also, think about the SAMR model, and ask yourself how you can be working at higher levels. Not sure how SAMR works? Talk to your friendly librarian/ITS! #Prosper4ward
A3: I use formative assessments daily - I use Padlet, Kahoot, Quizzizz, Google Forms. All of these tools allow me to check for understanding and keep Ss stress to the minimum.
#Prosper4ward
A1- Organizing the content in an efficient manner so students can navigate various components (links, images, resources) and provide reflection activities to assess S learning. T can then teach 1-1 around the room. (But I teach technology course……) #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
The most important element is to ensure that the the teacher selects the best digital tool for the assignment, and that it is appropriate and safe for students to utilize. #Prosper4ward
A1: know your kids and how they learn. Ensure lots of time for collaboration and processing. A little chaos can go a long way... learning is messy. #prosper4ward#PISD12days
A1: I see @Mr_Nathan_Smith’s point. We don’t tend to think that we are the most important tool. I was going to say knowing what students need. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A1.2 Also, think about the SAMR model, and ask yourself how you can be working at higher levels. Not sure how SAMR works? Talk to your friendly librarian/ITS! #Prosper4ward
A1: the most important part in lesson design is the same as always....student engagement and designing something that Ss will benefit from and be able to apply. #Prosper4ward#PISD12days
A4: I use digital exit tickets, padlet, answer garden, and google forms to check for student understanding/ misunderstanding. I also use low tech tools like thumbs up/ thembs down for understanding. #Prosper4ward
A1: The most important element of lesson design in the digital age is differentiation. Since we are using technology, it is easier to differentiate instruction to their level without announcing what each group is doing. #Prosper4ward#PISD12days
A2.1 In the old days, I tended to put a discussion q on my Promethean, and after I took attendance the class would discuss. Full disclosure-it was more about keeping the students busy with something related to the lesson than it was about good teaching practice. #Prosper4ward
Spiral has excellent tools to use as bell ringers. For example, you can have a problem on the screen, and you will be able to see how all students answer. #Prosper4ward
Since I'm ELAR, we start with SSR everyday, but we do grammar "Caught Ya" lessons/practice with Google Slides. It gets the kids flexing their grammar muscle. Thx to @RMSCoachCole for the help on that. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A2-we have started incorporating websites such as "estimation 180" & "which one doesn't belong" into warmups to incorporate some digital pictures where students have to think critically, make a decision, & justify their answer #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A 2.2 I am jealous of all of the digital opening activities that are available today. While a discussion Q is still valid, in today's environment I'd have a lot more opportunity to have more meaningful activities while still accomplishing needed classroom tasks! #Prosper4ward
A2: my students do a warm up everyday that relates to the content we are covering. I also like to try to do something engaging when we start the lesson for the day like starting with a question or showing a picture. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
I have seen teachers use Google Classroom discussions, @padlet collaborative Google Slides, Google Forms, watch a video and post a comment, quick writes, and more! #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A2: we have used google forms as a quick bell ringer activity. Another example is @geogebra activities to helps Ss “see” the math in action. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
https://t.co/7rpPvxlIkl was always awesome to help student learn search terms and how to use google as a tool, and it was fun to play with the studets for high scores #Prosper4ward
A2: I have used Nearpod to create warmup questions to begin the lesson. Instant feedback for the students and for me. With Nearpod you can create questions, polls, etc. It is very engaging for the students and feedback driven. #prosper4ward
A1- The most important element of lesson design in the digital age is teaching our students about digital citizenship. Also making sure the technology used meets a level of rigor that ignites their passion for learning beyond a substuition level. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A2 Hyper doc cal 2 guide Ss to the current (past & future) lessons, including essential questions for the week. Google forms, hyper doc assignment, or google site will be listed on the cal for the day. (tech class so Ss can start lesson right away) #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A2: When I taught math I liked to have playing cards out on the tables and directions for a game that related to the content we were studying. The kids loved it and were learning too! Also, have them start thinking about the EQ! #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
Also guilty! There are so many great tools out there now to have something meaningful for the students to work one while Ts take care of business!
A. Know the goal. What do you want the students to leave knowing or being able to do differently that day? Making sure your plan to achieve that goal is aligned with student interests and real-life application to peak student engagement and ownership. #Prosper4ward
A2: I start first 5 mins of class with either them analyzing a quote, an opinion piece, picture analysis - I like to get their brains "stretched" before we "exercise" into the meat of the lesson. Ss opinions are powerful and help drive the lesson #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A2-we have started incorporating websites such as "estimation 180" & "which one doesn't belong" into warmups to incorporate some digital pictures where students have to think critically, make a decision, & justify their answer #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A2 When I was in the classroom, I liked any Bell ringers or Google forms that gauged student prior knowledge to content. It builds on their connections and makes content persoanl #Prosper4ward PISD12days
A2- I have posted a picture and asked the kids to read the EQ for the day, look at the picture, and jot their thoughts or sketch their thinking. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A2: I like opening with writing. About the essential question, about a picture, about a problem. Allows for space to think and prepare for learning! #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
@nearpod is a great tool for engaging students in the classroom! It is a great way to make sure that ALL students are participating. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A2: I wish I had used Google tools in my 4th grade classroom the way I am seeing them used today...classroom, forms, drawing would all engaging avenues in starting a lesson. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A2: when I teach writing I have started putting pictures on the promethean board. I have the students write anything they want about it. It allows the students to be creative with their thinking. #prosper4ward#pisd12days
@nearpod is a great tool for engaging students in the classroom! It is a great way to make sure that ALL students are participating. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A2- I use Google Classroom questions, Padlet, Google Forms, and ThingLink to get Ss thinking from the beginning of class. S need sets the trajectory for in class learning. @PISDLiT#Prosper4ward
Sorry I’m late- had to ‘mom’ for a little bit longer tonight! 😊
A1 Students MUST end up producing something for an authentic (aka: real) audience as much as possible!
#PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A1- The most important element of lesson design is teaching our students digital citizenship and creating TEKS based, engaging lessons that ignite the passion for learning beyond the substitution level. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3 Some great formative assessment tools being used in Prosper ISD are the question feature of Google Classroom, Google Forms, Nearpod, Flipgrid, Seesaw and more! #Prosper4ward
A3: We formatively assess students daily. I use Google Sheets to document what I observe in class. We also use CFAs weekly such as exit tickets, Socrative, Quizizz, etc. #Prosper4ward#PISD12days
I love @polleverywhere to get my classes revved up because every student gets a voice, and their answers are out there for classmates to see but it’s anonymous so there’s no “stage fright”. Ultimately I love it because my STUDENTS love it.
#PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A3: PBL projects, I always had some type of presentation aspect with digital tools used to present, students need to know how to speak and use tech to add on to their presentation #Prosper4ward
I assessed my students all of the time. I did a lot of PBL and I checked in with every kids, every day. I also used @nearpod and Google Forms for quick checks. Today there are SO MANY OPTIONS! We really are very fortunate. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A3: Formative assessment should happen daily! I love that @spiraleducation has a quickfire option that requires zero planning. Teachers can verbally ask a question and students can respond immediately. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A3: Assessing student learning is a daily occurrence. Using the Essential Question and observing their thinking evolving over several days of learning is amazing to see! #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3- Daily- sometimes it is verbal, written feedback, google form journal/quiz, rubric self/peer evaluation hyper doc w/ tables. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A3: Daily. Lots of things to cover in 11th US History. Nearpod, again. It's a great tool for CFA's. Socrative is another. Instant feedback people, instant feedback. For you and for S's. #prosper4ward
A3: Every chance I can get! Plickers; Quizizz - but my absolute favorite is a simple conversation as they are working. I can learn a lot by just listening to them and having a conversation with them. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
2-3 times a week, it really depends on unit, student need and reteaching. I use answer garden, kahoot, seesaw activities-exit ticket #PISD12Days#prosper4ward
A3 I use formative assessments in small groups and whole group learning. In small groups, I can assess using https://t.co/VdeKV6Pd1A online. There are records to show what books students are reading, as well as a score of their comprehension questions. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
Actually this was great! I know you had plans this evening and we really appreciate you taking the time plan your answers! Great job! #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A3 - We formatively assess several times a week. Sometimes it is as simple as giving a Nearpod quiz at the end of a lesson. Props to @mullinsmath for all of her help with this! #PISD12days#prosper4ward
A3: Formative assessment is happening all of the time. Low tech: dry erase boards, looking over a shoulder, eavesdropping on student conversations, quick writes, 4 corners; Digital: Forms quizzes, Nearpod drawings, Kahoot! #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
Questions vary between selecting math pictures, math words, math ten frames, etc. It is a great assessment resource to observe if students are understanding the same concept presented in different ways. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3: Formative assessments are done all day every day! Even if it's as simple as a thumbs up/down. Variety is key - gather feedback about student learning in various ways to get the most accurate picture. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A2 We start every day with a google slide presentation for Morning Meeting! I love having it digital to share with our team too. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A2: We have an Online Journal they use to answer a writing prompt, usually about what we did the day before to activate that knowledge for the day. Will be incorporating some of these awesome ideas too! #Prosper4ward
I loved Google forms and nearpods! I assessed daily and sometimes I would give the same check in at the end of the week to see if we retained or still had misconfeptions #PISD12Days#prosper4ward
A3: In all honesty, I probably do about 2-3 a day! I see where they are in the beginning, halfway through a lesson, and at the end. I need to see growth! #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A3: CFAs created collaboratively as a team, I’m ELAR minded so rubrics come to mind...Google tools make it easier to collaborate and efficiently create assessments #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3: but I think my favorite form of feedback/formative assessment is a simple conversation with my students. It really is a great opp to build that relationship #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A3: love @quizizz for quick tech tool, but I LOVE my self-assessment trays for students to sort their own work. They are usually spot on! #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A4-- In kindergarten, I like to use exit tickets as a formative assessment. In small groups, I ask students to pick a crumbled Post-it from a box with a sight word, letter, or CVC word. Then, students open the Post-it and read the word or letter/sound.#Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3- I use formative assessment multiple times a week. It’s critical to know where Ss need extension or reteach. Google Forms is the quickest method, but I also love Quizlet, Kahoot, Spiral, Nearpod, and ThingLink. #Prosper4ward@PISDLiT
A3 you can assess how the lesson is going by the faces the kids may be making....sometimes lessons have to be disregarded and go on the fly at that point. #Prosper4ward
A3- as a grade level, we plan formative assessments and use them almost daily. We use many types of formative assessments including exit tickets, response journals, and conferencing. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3 2-3 Times a week. It depends on unit, student reteaching and need. I use Kahoot, answer garden and seesaw activities-exit ticket. #PISD12Days#prosper4ward
A2: I used to have my Ss complete Daily Oral Lanfuage. It was great! Now, I would use a Google Form, Nearpod, etc to take this important language arts practice to the digital age. #PISD12#Prosper4ward
A3- Formative assessments are used very often in my class to support learning during the learning process. I'm a techie, so I use various tech tools to assist with formative assessments. My current favorite is flipgrid! #flipgrid#Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3b I also like to go low-tech and do a simple "write a sentence that uses _____ on a piece of paper" and then I go around and look at their sentences and have quick mini-convos with them. I love formative assessment with feedback built into the plan.
#Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
I know I already answered this once, but I keep thinking about it from different angles. One of the ultimate goals is to help students become independent thinkers and problem solvers. Do our actions and expectations consistently reflect that goal? #Prosper4ward
A3: I am constantly assessing student learning. It all begins with team planning. Creating assessments and rubrics with your teams are crucial to driving instruction. #prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3 usually 3-4 times a week! I use google forms, google classroom, @padlet, @Seesaw, and other tools to formatively assess with technology! #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A4: Have to bring it back to that EQ! They are built right into our UFD's for us! Great way to end any lesson, and check for understanding. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A4 Some exit ticket tools include Google Forms and Classroom, Nearpod, Flipgrid, Seesaw and more. Check out this article "exit tickets are only as good as their design" https://t.co/WohW9JfmmX#Prosper4ward
A4: We have used exit tickets were Ss are given problems to solve on a notecard. When complete, I throw away the cards of the Ss who master the material and keep the cards of the Ss who struggled. I use this to make intervention groups. #Prosper4ward#PISD12days
A4: I do the same type of things for closing - use @GoogleForEdu tools mostly for closing, or sticky note/index card exit ticket. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A4 Everyone can now use Google Cast for Edu. This lets T's ask a Q at the end of class, have the S's cast their answers to T's Chromebook, then if T chooses, T can share S's answers on projector. Great way to share learning! Talk to your ITS/Librarian for more info! #Prosper4ward
A4: Depends on lesson - 3 things they want to explore further, flipgrid reflection, sum up your learning in 5 words, what would be the theme song for this lesson and reasons why #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A4- Have Ss submit their work in progress on their self evaluation rubric, journal entries, short responses on google form, small group discussion while other Ss are still working. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A4: A lot of the tools we have tweeted about tonight can create closing activities. Nearpod, Socrative, Google Forms, etc. So many tools, so little time!! #prosper4ward
A4 Have students share their learning. This could be Ss answering the essential question, doing a quick write, completing a quick CFA. @Socrative has a great exit ticket as well! #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A1: The important thing to remember is, is it purposeful and engaging. I always keep in mind that I want them to have the ability to design and collaborate. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5 -- Students receive Ipads, books, weekly readers to research non-fiction topics. Then, I ask him/her to use writing to teach me about the topic he/she researched. EX: Penguins are _____ . Penguins can ____ .Penguins have ______ .#PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
Since I'm ELAR, we start with SSR everyday, but we do grammar "Caught Ya" lessons/practice with Google Slides. It gets the kids flexing their grammar muscle. Thx to @RMSCoachCole for the help on that. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A3: but I think my favorite form of feedback/formative assessment is a simple conversation with my students. It really is a great opp to build that relationship #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A4 We use google forms and google classroom discussions the most for closing activities. I also have them post to Seesaw as a final way to check for understanding. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A4 I have genuinely enjoyed popping back to the essential question or overarching theme. It's easy to do "on the fly" and keeps each day connected to a larger discussion. Plus it's doesn't feel "canned" with my seniors -
they like to discuss them. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A4: Flipgrid would be a great way to have students explain their learning while simultaneously being an assessment for the T to use...students can also still be learning from each other’s responses #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A4- a powerful closing activity I use is to have students pair up and discuss how their understanding has changed after our lesson. Then we come back together and share our thinking.
A4 - We use Google Forms and Nearpod for exit tickets. Sometimes I like to post "my favorite mistake" from the previous day and have the students correct the error. #PISD12Days#prosper4ward
A4 Have students share their learning. This could be Ss answering the essential question, doing a quick write, completing a quick CFA. @Socrative has a great exit ticket as well! #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A4: In my room they usually read their WAC to a buddy and explain their thinking. I also like to use seesaw to record or take a picture of what they have learned. #prosper4ward#pisd12days
A:4 Closing ranges from a quick answer on a post-it, index card, or exit ticket to a turn and talk. There are so many digital tools that would work as well. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A2: My students enjoy a plethora of different warm ups. From KWL’s on Padlet, to writing on a journal topic, an engaging math problem to get their minds thinking. We have also done warm ups such as digital class polls. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
Q4- My 2nd graders are currently enjoyong using Padlet to wrap up their learning. We post our thoughts, using complete sentences. 😉 Then we discuss any connections we have made with other students on the topic. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3: Of all the ways to formally assess, my favorite by far is student conversation and discussion. In the digital age, I often find to that apps such as Padlet, Nearpod, and Kahoot offer many opportunities to assess. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
I just did this yesterday! Asked the kids a reflection on “the gift of the magi” and they drew a symbol/1word to represent it - I casted it up on board #prosper4ward
A5: I love Genius Hour, so I let those students come up with their own EQ and research and develop an answer and how to solve the problem (if there is a problem to solve) #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A5: I like to ask Ss what they would like to learn more about. If Ss finish early, they become "explorers" and find out more about that subject they shared with me. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A5 Passion Projects, create their own games teaching Teks, Research and presentations in google slides, creating google drawings with shapes-geometry #PISD12Days#prosper4ward
A5: stem bins! I also like for students to create their own games in math by giving them supplies and guidelines! It is interesting to see what they come up with. #prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5: Eng 4 (@JanuaryRowe) had a great idea to put all their enrichment activities into a Google Classroom and share individual activities with the students as they needed it. #prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5- EQ @ start of yr- Why are you never done b4 deadline? BC there is always work 2 improve. IF they are done- next assignment is posted and they can get a head start. Always Lynda videos to watch and improve skills. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
Q5: I always gave students a fast finishers choice board. They would come up with their own question related to content material, research it, and then create some type of presentation to apply what they learned (i.e. slides, sites, drawings, ect) #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
I think the best way to handle extensions is a Choice Board. @CarolCloper is great about creating digital choice boards using @tes_teach (Blendspace). Have activities ready and give Ss some voice and choice. Mix it up, have some tech and analog. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A5-Tic-Tac-Toe Board with options for early finishers, some of the digital templates that @MandyatSchool has shared with us, flipgrid to teach someone else a lesson #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5: in 5th grade science we have created menus for each unit. It has leveled activities that relate to what we are learning. Things range from watching videos and answering questions to creating stop motions. Has something for everyone. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
@ProsperHS English IV crew has an idea of a separate extensions Google Classroom that they can repost extension assignments to those that finish early so they can extend the learning #Prosper4ward#GreatIdea
A5.1 The key is to make sure, when using digital tools, that you are planning your extensions at the same high level you would anything else. We need to make sure we are not just handing Ss devices and telling them to play "learning" games." #Prosper4ward
A5 Full disclosure - this is difficult with high school kids... they don't want to do anything that isn't attached to a grade. I often find myself stumped here.
#Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
Q:5 I love enrichment activities! I just posted a Yummy Math activity about comparing Star Wars movies. I have other engaging math tasks that can be completed in a variety of ways depending on student choice. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5 Love digital choice board activities, to relieve Ts of the burden of having to make a zillion copies, and so Ss don't have to try and keep up with it all.
#PISD12Days#Prosper4ward@PISDLiT
A4: Ss reflect on the concept that was just taught. How they reflect can vary between writing, drawing or typing their response and sending it to me. Padlet has enabled the Ss to see others reflections and comment, like and collaborate other take awayS #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A 5.2 So-called “learning games” rarely accomplish either the task of entertaining a S, or teaching her. Look at the graphics and gameplay mechanics from a popular video game. Now look at a typical “educational” game. #Prosper4ward
A5 - We always post a "Question of the Week." It is typically a grade level or 2 ahead and I select a student to present at the end of the week. I catch a lot of grief if it's not up and ready Monday morning! #PISD12Days#prosper4ward
A5: enrichment doesn’t mean “harder” or “more work.” In Geometry I like to have students prove their work to me and also discuss with other Ss to get a different idea. Lots of application and problems solving like maybe a @breakoutEDU#Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5.3 I am not a gamer, and I can tell the difference. Our Ss can too. I think we’re fooling ourselves to think that we are reaching our kids with these. At best we’re keeping them busy. #Prosper4ward
A5 Anytime kids can create something on their own that they are excited about it is valuable. Passion projects or digital extensions in google slides/drawings is awesome. #prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5: I may give them the same concept but at a higher level. Today, some Ss wanted the exam review to be higher level so we looked at some HS TEKS and they wanted to try those! @JanuaryRowe#PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A5b I've tried to use some of the concepts @IanAByrd presented to us a few years back - make the original assignment more complex for them in the first place. Many students DO like to be told "This other stuff is too simple for you; instead do _______."
#Prosper4ward@PISD12Days
I do like simple exit tickets. These can be as easy as an answer on a @Postit Note or can even be an answer on a digital platform such as a game on @GetKahoot#Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5- my students love our STEM or STEAM bins. They also beg to work on Mind Missions. These are highly engaging. If you haven’t used Mind Missions, check them out. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A3: I would say as often as needed. It would depend on the lesson, etc. I do say that informal assessments really give me a pulse on Ss learning. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A5: Eng 4 (@JanuaryRowe) had a great idea to put all their enrichment activities into a Google Classroom and share individual activities with the students as they needed it. #prosper4ward#PISD12Days
A5: Getting the higher order thinking skills involved. Activities that encourage student creation, reflection/analysis, or require Ss to defend their thinking. Error analysis is a favorite. #PISD12Days#Prosper4ward
A5- Extension whether digital or not must extend S’s knowledge base and challenge them to dig deeper. I always attach the song “Dig a Little Deeper” to my extension challenges. #Prosper4ward@PISDLiT
And that marks the end of tonight's #Prosper4ward chat.
Where did the time go? Thank you to everyone that participated tonight! Go to the website to request PD credit. https://t.co/hedisQPGcP
A5- Gone are the days of worksheets! 🎉 Enrichment in my class, is anything from TEK based Stem activities to student led ideas that meet our essentionals, while challenging student growth. #Prosper4ward#PISD12Days
And that marks the end of tonight's #Prosper4ward chat.
Where did the time go? Thank you to everyone that participated tonight! Go to the website to request PD credit. https://t.co/hedisQPGcP
