A1: #txed ... The first couple weeks of school have been AMAZING this year! PLC's have been amazing. Tons of amazing instructional tech strategies being used in the classrooms, over 200+ work orders completed by our dept on campuses, and lots of HAPPY educators! #brenhamunited
A2: Have S's & T's Use Instructional Tech Strategies & Tools w/ a PURPOSE for creativity, collaboration, communication, & critical thinking. #1 Goal: How will using tech in your instruction engage students, and increase student performace in areas of needing improvement? #txed
A3: greeting SS at the door, morning meetings, getting to know you games, as they’re working talking with them one on one to learn their interests, closing circles, launching them with a message everyday that lets them know they matter! #TxEd

I’ve enjoyed lunch with the new students to our building. I’ve also greeted almost all the parents new to our campus. Invited them to our First Fridays. Paid extra ttenrio. To the names of the new students. Trained our teachers on Captuing Kids Hearts. #txed

BOOM! Pickup and drop off are great times to make connections and build relationships! Don’t be afraid to do like @TaraBHinton and @sartor_cole and bust out the speaker and music to go with the 👊🏼 on the way in the door! #txed

A4 I am planning to overcome the apathy present in my Ss who have struggled to be successful in school. I want to help them to see themselves as successful learners! #txed
A3: From the 1st minute of DAY 1, I smile, laugh, bond, find similar interest, show empathy to, communicate positivily with, & grow together w/ ALL my students. Talk to them about YOUR family, life, goals, & struggles. Model, model, model and show them you're human too. #txed
A4: personally, I think remembering that kids don’t have our same problem solving skills yet will be a challenge for me. All they know is that they’re frustrated or mad. I have to remember in the heat of it that I need to lend them my skills too. #TxEd
A4: I would agree with @PrincipalOgg I am sure he has more on his plate, but time is always the most challenging for me! Being a single mom of two girls and teaching can be a balancing act to say the least! #txed
#txed A4 29th yeara as a tr = competence in adapting and overcoming with your students. My biggest challenge will be helping the new teachers in the building. You don't succeed unless you make others become better. #AlwaysBelieve
A3: getting in the classrooms and joining in collaborative group work with the kids. Also, you’d be amazed what 2nd graders ask you while you join them at the lunch table! #txed

Tough one, here, but you’ve gotta be real about where you are, where you want to go, and what you need to do to get there. Be honest with yourself and your staff and then go do the work! #JKR#txed

A5-We are what we focus on. Only focus on the negative, then you will see nothing but negative. Focus on the things that are going well and build upon them. #TXed
Shared w/the staff, that we’ve perfected finding what’s wrong with the system. It’s time we find the solutions & move past the problems. Tough work, but our moral, ethical, & civil duty. We’re in a self selected profession. Do it right or get out. Our kids are too important.#txed
A5: have a homie you can vent 2. Then move on. Focus on what is great about your job. Don’t listen to mean people. Push yourself & focus on family & friends. Once you do that - it all falls into line. #TxEd
A5: Taking time to refuel helps me stay more positive! I try to wake up extra early to walk my dog/do a short workout and listen to a positive podcast. Also connecting with positive educators through Twitter chats like this one! #TxEd
A5 we agreed as a staff to change our discourse. It's okay to state a problem. But state it clearly to identify barriers and expect to discuss solutions. It's not always pretty but we #addvalue and move forward #work4win#rameyway#TXed
A4: I learn something new each day. The day to day details and differences b/t HS & Elem counseling are extremely different, but the heart of counseling is the same. Help kids be the best they can be and help them make good choices for themselves and their community. #txed
A5: I already have my people lined up who I know I can go to when I’m feeling a downward trend. We are truly a team and they support me and I try to do the same for them. It’s easy to be negative on an island. #TXed

A6 Build up on relationship between others and those in front of you daily, try something new, and utilize self care to be the best you daily for others! #txed
A5 I have some of the greatest critics friends in @BrenhamISD and many other places! They know me well enough to know when I start stepping on the negative train, they rip me right back off and give me a shake to remind me of what my purpose and why is! #TXed
