A1 - Where do I even begin. I teach a class that is all about storytelling so my students create manifestos using @canva, digital visual stories using @AdobeSpark (pages) videos using #appleclips and Spark Videos, logos using adobe post. (will share examples now!) #createEDU
A1) My students create the most gorgeous visuals - they just participated in a social media campaign called #goingbeyondthelike (thank you to @RLH_DesignED for the idea!) if you click on the hashtag you will see some of the amazing visuals they have created and shared #createedu

A1: This year, I have spent a great deal of time considering feedback and exploring with students how they can create with feedback in mind. Asking the right questions in the right way. Sharing stories. Inviting feedback to grow. #createedu
Q1) Here is an example of student manifestos - I used this amazing #hyperdocs from @lhighfill for the lesson and the kids explored manifestos and what they desire for their lives- it was an amazing experience for them #CreateEDU
A1: my goal with tech is to get students to explore their creativity, to create things that are meaningful to them, their choice, not just assigned by me. #CreateEDU
#CreateEdu Hi there! Rob Kelly from Melbourne, Australia. I'm hoping to integrate the #adobe suite into my multimedia program @berwicklodgeps, 2019. My ideas are to use #animate with the juniors and #aftereffects with the seniors - as we have a whole school film festival in SEP.
A1 I teach English, so my students create writing: stories in verse, letters about literature, comics about literature, essays about their neighborhoods, essays about their intersecting identities, and articles about their struggles. #CreateEdu
Chat moving pretty fast not sure if my A1 got in...I am having students create with Tour Builder a map WWII Europe - emphasis on concentration camps #CreateEdu
Q1) Another example of their creations - they were all so different - I didn't stifle their creativity with too much direction. Their work was beautiful. This one was a take on the @lululemon manifesto from @ElleRothfeld who is now my TA - on body image #createEDU#PBNBPS
#CreateEDU A1a Depends on the topic. Sometimes it’s crafting an essential question that directs their efforts in applying what they learn. Other times it’s some evidence (like coding a report) that makes their learning visible.
A1: Well I’m currently not in the classroom but when I was my Ss loved team building! They worked in small groups to create, problem solve, and think outside the box to reach a goal. Many times they were actually building something. #CreateEdu
I love when students can show what the know using tools of their choice...a student told me they know so much, but a test seems to show all the ways they don't know a topic. Changed the way I assess. Not a trap #CreateEDU
A1 My tech goal is to teach Ss that tech tools offer ways to make their thinking visible, to create, collaborate and get engaged with learning! #CreateEDU
A2) This is a really difficult question for me bcs I have my Ss use so many. I really am digging @AdobeSpark - especially Pages - I had students create these amazing visual stories about something important to them - check out @chrisdohler 's https://t.co/liZDjYM2s2#CreateEDU
A2) I also love using Adobe Post app - the Ss create a personal brand using spark and they do it by creating their logo first on Post - I have the upgraded https://t.co/OVlknlphRt version so I have the upgrades for the Ss. Here are some Ex's. #CreateEDUhttps://t.co/RTcqB8Mtfm
A1: Creating is an important part of our learning process. I am a huge fan of taking in visual. Both digital and old school. We create as we engage in learning and as reflective learning. A few Favs include @AdobeSpark@Flipgrid and Google Autodraw. #CreateEdu
A2...oh to pick just one? Right now I'm using @flipgrid with students in a formative assessment and with teachers for an #inquiry book club study. #createedu
A2: Google Slides and Google Drawings are always a winner for students, and while I haven't used it yet this year, the @AdobeSpark apps are great! I've been using @Camtasia and @Screencastify a lot more lately in more personal endeavors #CreateEDU
A2 Our creations are mostly analog. We write final drafts in Docs so students can peer review, but generative writing happens in their notebooks. Sometimes generative drawing with colorful markers. But I don’t think those count as apps. 🤨 #CreateEdu
THIS IS SO EPIC!! What an amazing way to demonstrate student learning through creation with code and video creation - you are a rock star #nbpcot#createEDU
A2) Lately I have also been obsessed with the #EveryoneCanCreate ebooks - My students created collages using keynote that were stunning! #CreateEDU you can find the books on iTunes - they are free and amazing.
#createEDU A2a Most of the stuff I develop is accredited & happens in Adobe Connect. It’s not so much about creation (apart from activity-based assessments to determine efficacy) as it is about developing plans for application to their clinics..
A2: Always love the focus on creating with global classroom with @EmpaticoOrg and on creating through the lens of human rights with @rockyourworld70! #createedu
A2: @AdobeSpark tops our list right now, but too much of any one resources is rarely a good thing. My PLN has helped me organize some other great creative resources that we've shared in this post: https://t.co/PMyDvZeu5F#CreateEDU
A3) My students are able to express themselves & their learning through their beautiful creations. They are able to demonstrate their learning and make their thinking visible through their beautiful creations. They are able to have a personal voice in their creations. #CreateEdu
#createEDU A2b Now if we’re talking about the PD that is *my* classroom lately it’s @SwitcherStudio .. I participate in #EdCamps#WeAreCUE@eLearningGuild & @atd PD. I ask presenters for permission then stream/capture their sessions to my PLN. Getting better.
A3 Creating gives students an opportunity to explore topics they care about, make things that matter to them personally and in the world, make their own decisions, and bring their own values to the work process. #CreateEdu
A3: Life isn't about simple regurgitation of facts, it's about applying knowledge. Creation allows students to apply knowledge in better ways than filling in blanks or circling multiple choice answers #CreateEDU
A3: I believe the process of creating IS what helps content STICK. It makes it meaningful, gets them actively learning, brings critical thinking in greater layers than simply completing a wrksht or test. #CreateEDU
A3)
🌸Students don't want to fill in multiple choice tests.
They don't want to work on worksheet after worksheet📄.
These students who have been born into a world 🌍 where they know nothing of an analog workflow WANT to express themselves in creative way 🎨 .
#CreateEdu
A3: If students don't learn to create, they don't learn the value of what they can make and contribute! They are imaginative minds that need to be fostered! #CreateEdu
I love introducing creation tools to our teachers! I recently included @AdobeSpark in an AppSmash PD! Love how easy it is to use! Beautiful graphics! #CreateEDU
A3 Creation gives students agency. The sense that their work is bigger than themselves. When students have agency, they work harder. They, just like you, me, and everyone, want people to see their work and think its great. #CreateEDU
#createEDU A2b Last Saturday I streamed several #CUErockstar ELA sessions. My plan (this weekend) is to see what Adobe Spark Video can do with the captured clips.
Q-3 Creation is the best way in science for Ss to show their understanding of concepts in real world situations-added bonus it keeps them engaged&questioning! #createedu
A3: Learning has to me more than just filling the bucket with knowledge. I think of creating as excercise for the brain. When creation is part of the learning process, learning sticks. #CreateEDU
A3: Creation allows Ss to express themselves and make their thinking visible. It allows for their voice to be heard and allows them to choose the medium in which they want to demonstrate their learning. #CreateEDU
A3: When Ss get their creative juices flowing they use critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, think outside the box muscles are pumping!! #CreateEDU
A4)
I would like to improve on my ability to scaffold creation skills.
I was able to teach creation literacy skills this past week and saw immediate results in their visual work. I am going to continue to work on that using the #everyonecancreate curriculum #CreateEdu
#CreateEdu Q4 I I love using 3-D printing and having students print there.STL files but the problem is it’s taking 2 1/2 to 3 hours for one print so printing everyone’s cad files is sometimes not possible
A4: I wish I could slow down the 'race' we get into to get through so many standards...creating takes time- letting kids explore, play, create means getting of the curriculum treadmill and that can be a challenge. How many of you face that with your class? #CreateEdu
A4: I always wanted to give my Ss as many paths as possible to completing a project or assignment. The only limitation to that is having the right tools, applications and devices for them to use. This got better every year I was in the classroom but was always hard. #CreateEDU
A3: Learning has to me more than just filling the bucket with knowledge. I think of creating as excercise for the brain. When creation is part of the learning process, learning sticks. #CreateEDU
A4: Many students are accustomed to the old way of doing things, they are resistant to trying activities that are more active and creation-centered, especially my Ss with IEPs, who would gain the most from creative activities because of ways they could show learning #CreateEdu
A4: To get teachers to see the value of having their students create in their classrooms instead of consuming. And that it’s okay to not have to grade everything they create. #CreateEDU
Thanks, Tanya! I love this project with my French 2 Ss. They create the entire story on their own from the prompt “It was a dark and stormy night...”. Each Ss has such a unique take on it. It’s awesome! #CreateEDU
A4 I wish there were a way to aggregate any particular student’s comments on all their peers’ work. Those comments live in the peer’s doc, but it would be great for the commenter to be able to see their comments all together (e.g. as a word cloud) & look for patterns. #CreateEdu
A3. To support the creative process in the classroom, it’s necessary to guide teacher cognition from doing towards learning XYZ. The #5MinPlan supports this thought process for teachers; saves them time. Hope you like/try it
https://t.co/XBF9Ci1iMp#CreateEdu#edchat
I totally agree! When we allow Ss to create we get a deeper window into what they understand and how that understanding has changed their worldview. #CreateEDU
Q-4 integrating the 3D printer into a short time framed class- allows Ss to create, code and show understanding plus it still has collaboration factor #CreateEdu
A4.1 To see that it isn’t going to be perfect when students (or teachers) are creating. Perfection simply isn’t attainable but the process of getting there is messy and full of lessons. #CreateEDU
#createEDU A4a The learners whose professional development I support are adults. I’m fascinated with how adults learn as compared to children. Specifically, when does pedagogy give way to androgogy? I think the lines are blurring given K-12 Ts emphasis on creation +
