topic - What types of things do you do to continue your professional learning in the summer? - https://t.co/hVThmpqB1T
During the summer, I have a nice stack of PD books, attend conferences like , and collaborate with peers.
Are the peers in your district? What does that look like?
Would be interested to know what whole-staff Google cert looks like. What kind of timeline did you have? Study groups?
Some, yes. Some, no! Example: working w/neighboring district to develop Project Based Learning curriculum for 9th grade.
Great when diff districts can work together; can give a diff perspective, & sometimes some objectivity.
Summer PD: read Innovator's Mindset, Kids Deserve It, PBIS Tier 1, a zillion articles, soak in ISTE from afar, blog.
I am also attending a Google Educator Certification Bootcamp and APUSH training
Yes! Forces me to really "see" kids in my class who don't blend in w/majority by.
Happening nxt yr. Ts have option to work on own over this summer, then groups, sessions, PD etc next yr for support.
I'm working on creating support sessions/trainings
