The first thing I'd put in my perfect classroom? Flexible seating. Sit, stand, small groups, places to relax and read... desks and rows a thing of the past. #bfc530

Perfect classroom - lots of space for breakouts, a great class library, plenty of art supplies, a mix of tables and desks, a beverage/snack bar, tech du juor, lots of windows, a door to access a reading garden, a bathroom, and an endless supply of pencils and pens #bfc530
My ideal classroom at least double in size, tables instead of desks, laptop cart, places for lots of different activities. We have 2 smaller tables, everyone fights for them #bfc530

#bfc530 A huge, walk-in supply closet for me to organize all of my materials. Hands- on learning takes up lots of space! It'd be nice if someone else pays to refill all of those supplies too.

Yuck! My son’s middle school was like this. The hallways went around the perimeter of the building so NO classrooms had windows! How depressing for kids and teachers! #bfc530
My perfect classroom would be bright, open, and have multiple seating options. It would be a safe, collaborative, and encouraging place for ALL. My perfect classroom would support students creativity and empower them ALL to share their talents. #bfc530
It was cruel. It was worse. Even a memorial poster my team made for our coach who died was thrown out. It was such a discouraging way for me to start the year. But we keep doing what we do cuz my students are awesome ! #bfc530
Furniture is a tricky thing. I've seen $$ invested in innovative furniture only to have it be a giant headache. I just want standard chairs and desks but they need to be movable. I need to get them out of the way sometimes. #bfc530

I moved to a new building this year and had a chance to start over with a blank slate. And I have to say I LOVE my classroom! It is a peaceful, beautiful, organized space for both my students and me! #bfc530

Unbelievably difficult, but such incredible support locally, nationally, and globally...the love that is being shared and that is spreading is so moving. Hope and some peace are on the horizon, in the midst of such a tragedy...the support is truly inspiring! #bfc530
Since I am no longer in a CR I would design my space to be a learning lab or learning lounge. Standing tables big enough for 3-5 ppl with dry erase surfaces and a charging station. White board walls, a long table with ceiling mounted projector or large mirroring screen. #bfc530
Easy to move furniture and seating. Spare devices. A teacher library loaded with @burgess_shelley & @burgessdave publishing and @markbarnes19 publishing books. A place for food and beverage. A place Ts would want to go to learn. Think part @Apple store part @Starbucks. #bfc530

Yes! Gathering in the Kitchen! Why do classrooms have to be so cold and sterile? A kitchen island makes perfect sense! *runs to pull out the drafting table, T-square, and blueprint paper and begins designing the perfect classroom* #bfc530
Heat never seems to be a problem. It's usually cranked high, so much that our windows are open most of the year (even in winter). I couldn't imagine teaching in a coat! Terrible! #bfc530
Is anyone collating all these? I’d love to see a list - after all, how vast are our demands, anyway? Windows that open, temperature control, larger spaces, varied seating options, a working toilet.... #bfc530
So true! I’m lucky(/seniority)to have one of the largest classrooms in my school and on most days it feels cramped. When I need more space, and it’s available, we use library, but if rooms are small there should be lots of shared “project” space to spread out as needed #bfc530

Flexible seating. No desks. High-top tables with stools. Tons of clip boards and a book shelf to put the carpet squares and bean bags in. At the end of each day, I’d love the floor to be completely bare so that the class can maneuver where they’d like to be. #bfc530
