#LangChat is dedicated to the discussion of topics associated with issues and trends in world language instruction and learning. Educators, administrators, learners, and aficionados of world languages are encouraged to participate and share their experiences and input on various topics such as new ways to teach vocabulary, using music in the language classroom, and making standards-based grading valid. This chat is also unique in that it brings together language educators worldwide and from different contexts (elementary, secondary, higher education, etc.) and languages.
The structured interactions of Model United Nations offers a good way to get students discussing a grade-level topic with materials that support language acquisition#edchat #ELL#langchat#sschat#ModelUN" https://t.co/6hj0nm7n1z
10 days of French ss in our school and a blog with MS ss in Paris provided lots of good opportunities to talk about the relevance of language study but also for ss to realize that we do a lot of the same things even though language may separate us. #langchat
Artificially. We hold conversations where I assign roles: Person 1 asks a Q, Person 2 answers, Person 3 makes a follow-up comment, Person 4 asks a follow-up question. Then, change roles. Here's hoping they'll internalize eventually. #langbook#langchat
