A1: I know we encourage risk-taking & failing forward. Playing it safe or using the same lessons doesn’t prepare our Ss for their future careers, it bores them. Challenge staff to try new ideas; leadership needs to provide the space & opportunity #PrinLeaderChat
A2: Let Ss have say. Design spaces for them. Comfortable, great lighting etc...kids will engage more in a comforting & inviting space. I wouldn’t want to work in a desk all day- why ask kids to do this? #Prinleaderchat
A2: When a teacher takes the chance & wants to transform their space, help them, encourage them and applaude them. Be that supporter who helps them make it happen. Encourage the risk-taking #PrinLeaderChat
A3: Talk to your Ss- what would be comfortable. Ask how lighting is & temp. Is their furniture you could bring in or ask for donations? #Prinleaderchat
A4: Coaching! Peer coaching, group coaching, internal coaching, external coaching. Let the coachee choose the coach and watch progress happen! #PrinLeaderChat
Should leaders be running them? What would happen if you gave the Ts ownership of how, when and where they did their PL? Might require some thought around timetabling and logistics but worth it in the long run? #PrinLeaderChat
