Another innovation is the helicopter

-
A1: Innovation happens in education when we put students at the center of the learning
-
A1. Innovation is trying new things to get kids excited and passionate about learning
-
-
Q1.Not sure anymore. I use to think tech integration was being innovative, but now it is recapturing the art of teaching
-
Innovation is the ability to question and then create from your curiosities.
-
A1: Innovation occurs when we know our students and tailor our instruction, using tech or no tech, to meet their needs.
-
Well said. Innovation does not necessarily evolve from tech. https://t.co/gEQ2tOvizB

A1: innovation means not teaching the way you did before; nor expecting representation of knowledge the same
-
q2: What does it mean to be an educational innovator?
-
Looking at things through a different lens. Innovators able to see new possibilities everywhere.
-
I think innovation is the collaborative sharing & refining of ideas to make our world a better place.
-
And that's why tech integration fails in many classrooms. Good pedagogy falters for sake of new tech.
-
Agree that we have moved beyond the wow of tech. I think we are in a renaissance integrating good pedagogy w/tech
-
One year 30 times or 30 years one time? I hope all Ts are looking to try new things every year.
-
interestingly enough all I hear is that we need more tech. Of course, I always push back and ask WHY.
-
Educational innovators are never satisfied. They always search for ways to challenge students' thinking and learning.
-
A2: Willingness to do things differently, take risks, learn from mistakes.
-
An innovative educator is one who empowers his/her Ss to innovate. To ask questions, come up with new ideas, create & SHARE
-
We need to get better at challenging Ss to determine ways to demonstrate learning. Some tech, some not
-
I think Ts feel that they can not make mistakes, which limits their potential and effectiveness as learners and teachers
-
reading the second book in the Fablehaven series. Unbelievable series. Your kids into it at all?
-
I think you are right. Very sad-it's why building positive prof culture is so imp.
-
q3: How has the idea of innovation impacted you? What resources have you sought and/or steps you have taken differently?
-
My Ss are on a quest to innovate to Make A Difference. Join our M.A.D project for the 2016/17 year! https://t.co/hQP3PRoX9G
-
Not sure it's innovation, but a constant need to learn and better my practice. Fear of falling, or being irrelevant.
-
A3. For me, I'm willing to just try and somethings will work and others won't. I want all Ss to take risks and we need to model it.
-
It's important to surround yourself w/people who challenge your thinking. People who love everything you do don't push you.
-
Sometimes it's that simple, Rob. Couldn't agree more.
-
A3: Students want to innovate-we need to get out of their way! Creating Innovators is a great read .
-
I notice some teachers are downloading great lesson plans, but does that constitute innovation?
-
q4: Share a lesson or story of where you brought the idea of innovation into your role in education?
-
A4. Getting Ts to connect with other classes. I love when Ts can connect and collaborate. GHOs or Skype. So many possibilities.
-
A4: I don't know that you can set out to be innovative. It's something you realize when diff, fun, engaging things start to happen.
-
I agree. How can we move the flow & flexible thinking of a chat into a T's lounges? Creating creative spaces for Ts
-
Good night everyone, I have to help my daughter with a math problem. I hope we stay connected throughout the summer.
