A4: also I remind myself not to spend time on the the small "cuteness" of things. I don't think children remember the little bear in the corner of your paper teaching them something. Ask yourself "what is the student payoff?" when working on things #octmchat

A3: Beging buildingyour PLN immediately. Take advantage of learning opportunities that your district may provide. Get involved in professional organizations. Be willing to take advice and friendly critism. You don’t know everything b/c you have a degree. Be FLEXIBLE! #octmchat

A4: Depends on the person. I save grading for Sundays in front of the TV, watching the Browns lose #octmchat

A4: it takes time to find your groove - the more you can get done at school the better! #earlymornings #octmchat

A3: Be yourself! I was so nervous when I first started. But, when I started to be my loud, goofy self I built relationships and realized I had a lot in common with other teachers #octmchat

A4: Smile, listen, inquire about something your interested in you see them do, and gently share. It takes time sometimes, don't get discouraged. #octmchat

A4 I prefer to come in early and stay late instead of take work home. Sundays have some take home work, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve taken a big bag of stuff home and it’s never made it out of the car. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #octmchat

Coffee shops are good grading environments. There’s caffeine, plenty of seating, WiFi. #octmchat

If it is on the computer, I would rather be on my couch watching TV. I usually go in early twice a week to do the at school stuff. It's really personal preference #octmchat

A4: This differs for everyone, but I’ve found that I’m much more productive when I stay after school. If I try to work from home, I get distracted by the tv and refrigerator... #octmchat
