Phil from Northern Virginia! I teach 7th grade US History II. Not sure how to input an emoji via MacBook pro, but it would look something like this " >:-( " when it comes to the Rubik's Cube! #tlap
Roman from Ontario, Canada. HS Teacher/Student Success Leader/Agent of Transformation. Great to be with the #tlap crew tonight to talk #limitlessschool with @adamdovico & @abehege Rubik's cube always got me confused lol
Jason Talley, MS Latin teacher in Dripping Springs,TX 🤓🤔 I used to have Rubik’s cube solving algorithms memorized but I couldn’t do it last time I tried. #tlap
One of my favorite quotes by @cpoole27. A great reminder that it all starts with relationships. If we don't reach students' hearts, we have no chance to reach their minds. #eduinfluence#KidsDeserveIt#LeadLAP#tlap

Let's start this school week with passion, excitement and tackle challenges with a smile. We are so fortunate to spend time together as a community to prepare for a greater future. #tlap#leadlap#proudtobeLBUSD#GDTBAB
This is my first time participating in a twitter chat and I am a student at UGA. I am researching the role of homework in student's lives and its effectiveness to teach real life skills #tlap#edit2000mane
LMine are so trained in the daily routine that when I was out with the flu, one of my Ss took charge and taught the lessons from Google Classroom all week. #tlap#llap#fortunateteacher#greatstudents#lovethem
A1. Depends on who you ask, but I have loved the implementation of Chromebooks and what power it holds for individualizing the learning process for our students. #tlap
A1: We had a staff talent show during what we called #NotableNovember the videos submitted were hilarious and a great reminder that we all need to have some fun! #tlap

A1: My school aims to spread positivity. We made "choose kind" t-shirts after seeing Wonder, and we also do charger high fives which is when we nominate students for a positive office referral. I also try to email 2 parents a week to spread good news about their child. #tlap
A1 I have helped schools bring kindness and compassion to their school culture. I work side by side with Ts and leaders to help put kids at the center of all their decisions, to help celebrate kids and to be more inclusive of all kids. I try to leave my mark. #tlap
A1: We have done so much. It started with the theme impact and revamping our vision and mission to be a collaborative effort. Then we decided to live #OwnYourImpact in all that we do. #tlap
A1: Went to a combined lunch of all grades to give full hour to detox, socialize, and engage. Also starting a new student library full of diverse authors and stories to expand reading across all reading levels. #tlap
A1: @ERobbPrincipal and @KGT_Educator bought our staff @gcouros The Innovator's Mindset. We had a staff wide book study and even a twitter chat about it. I think it has brought us closer together and have challenged us all to be our absolute best for our students! #tlap
A1 - We do a staff senior yearbook page. Since the Eagles won th super bowl, staff ordered tee shirts and placed a word on the page with their name. All the words were inspirational and meant to make students smile. #tlap

A1- we’ve made faculty meetings more engaging: speed dating, EdCamp, Teacher-Led, Etc. We have so many untapped resources that are waiting to be used! #tlap
A1: I have stuck to an open door policy where I welcome as many people as possible into my classroom. I do not lecture so there is no interruption. Too often teachers operate in silos! The more feedback the better #tlap
A1. I've intentionally adopted a growth mindset both professionally and in my classroom. Calling my students to always be the best versions of themselves. #tlap

#tlap
I am SO excited for our school going 1:1 next year! Gamifying the classroom, playlists, blogging, podcasting, and more! I am very hopeful for next year! #tlap
This past week for RAK I left 6 days of anynomos personal sticky notes, sayings, pens and life savers on every teachers car. As I looked in many cars Ts had their notes out in open to look back on through the week. Pretty sure it helped a little bit. #tlap

#tlap A1: Visited my 34th class of the year today. Trying to make class visits/observations routine, benign, and positive. Current culture is bunker mentality......it's gotta change. Building a spreadsheet of "why this is a great class" to include all Ts.

A2: It's my first year at my current school, so leadership is definitely a growth area for me. I try to step up and be present/helpful in as many different things as I can. I've also attempted to get more Ts on Twitter and to start a book study. *attempted* #tlap
A2: This is our first year of 1:1 and I am really loving getting a chance to help other educators with their questions. I might not always know the answer, but I guarantee I can figure it out ;) #tlap

A2: I act on what I read. After reading #TLAP and #TheWildCard I knew I needed to change my teaching style, so I did. There were days I felt silly all dressed up, but I did it for my kids. Slowly, more and more teachers stepped out of their comfort zone. This truly made me happy.
A2: Building relationships with Ss and staff, extending grace when it's needed, not being too busy to clean up a spill, growing my knowledge base, building relationships some more...#tlap#servantleadership

A2: This year, we are adopting two new curriculums which has been crazy at times. At our last lead team meeting, I asked each grade level what is going right and what do you need help with. This exercise led us to see a real need to revamp our SEL program! #tlap

#tlap A2: See A1! Visiting EVERY T in the school this year. No, I'm not admin...I'm just a T. But I wish someone would do this in order to speak specifically about why "you're all great Ts." Needs to have meaning and substance behind it.
A2. I like to offer my support to my colleagues in whatever form that make take, and and as important as it is to be heard, it’s even more important to listen. So I also try to model that among my peers. #tlap#limitlessschool

A2: TRYING NEW THINGS AND SHARING GREAT STUFF! My goal is to learn and discover as many things as I can to make my classroom a place where students want to be. When I find great stuff that works, I share it!✨ #TLAP
A2 I think leadership is about envisioning who you want to be and what type of organization you want to serve, and then taking steps EVERY DAY to be that person and serve that organization. #tlap
A3: I was a second year teacher, but it was my first year at BMS. @kellytneal took me under her wing and mentored me. She is the BEST! Love her so much. #TLAP
A2: I have hosted a twitter chat for pre-service teachers at my university, have hosted #masterychat, and I am hosting #122edchat and one more chat for my university in May. I love Twitter, and it has changed my life as a pre-service teacher. #tlap
A3: I remember how supportive my AP was in my first year of teaching. He offered me genuine support where needed, great advice, and an ear to listen. He was an essential part of how I survived the start of my career. #tlap
1) Solving the Rubiks Cube is not a matter of luck and stumbling upon the right moves. It’s a methodical process. Building a culture in your school is the same thing. You need to see how each piece is connected and how each person relates to the others. #tlap
A3: I will never ever forget meeting @JayBilly2 F2F and him explaining how Twitter can change your life. And WOW was he right! #Naesp14#Nachos&Wings #tlap
One of the things we’ve done is taken our staff meetings and turned them into professional development. We used our beginning of year staff survey results to fuel this change. Culture @AJHComets was already on point, this just helps focus and align us. #tlap
Your smile, your handshake, your listening ear can be the difference maker in another person's day. Never underestimate the power of you. #tlap#LimitlessSchool
A3: Someone stood up for me during a difficult time. It meant more to me, I think, than that person knows. It wasn't a big situation, but it carried a lot of weight for me. #tlap
A3: The instructional coach at my school is phenomenal. She truly believes in each and every educator. She values what each of us brings to the table and makes the recognition known. @sara_bagby#tlap#LimitlessSchool
A2 - I want our staff to see that I embrace necessary change, take risks, ask questions & am open to being asked questions, and, most importantly....and most uncomfortably....am learning to embrace risks although there’s a chance at failure. #tlap
A3: When a good friend encouraged me to pursue education and become a teacher. He pointed out my best traits and how I could use those to make a difference for others. Always stuck with me, and clearly convinced me. #tlap
#tlap A3: Art teacher just last week. He has thought so much about holistic feedback and process oriented grading. And the rest of the fac. has no idea! He is so humble. Made me wonder who else in in our midst we are completely overlooking! LOOK FOR THE GEMS!
A2 honestly this is a pet peeve of mine. I hate when teachers say they are not a leader. ALL TEACHERS ARE LEADERS. At the very least you are leader in your classroom #tlap
A3: the willingness of another (adult or student) to jump right in, help out and get involved without worrying what others may think. That's impressive to me. #tlap
A2: Working with staff and students on whatever are their goals.Brining new ideas to campus and modeling best practices whenever I can. #tlap#LimitlessSchool

A2: trying new things and not keeping the experience to myself. Sharing with Ts in my building, district, and have been presenting at conferences so that we can all benefit from each other. #tlap

A1: I started a book club with my 8th graders! It not only promotes reading, but also helps my Ss build relationships with others. I LOVE my book club outside of school & have met some amazing women. Wanted to spread the love! #practicewhatyouteach#tlap#LimitlessSchool
A3: That would have to be our Elementary School Principal Mr. Workman. He is a Veteran Principal that is always there when I need advice. #tlap#LimitlessSchool
A3: When I first moved into my office at BES, @MissKTrier and @KaySpen74338894 came to meet me for no other reason but to smile and say welcome. Their smiles and excitement have stuck with me and continue still! #tlap

A3 I have been blessed to know and meet so many, but his year @bmilla84 has impressed me with her courageous, limitless spirit. Her risk-taking, her relentless pursuit to make learning the best for her kids, for her positivity and attention to detail with people. #tlap
A3: I remember when a new AP at my school came & observed my class & then later in the day, I found a handwritten note from her saying how amazing she thought the lesson was with details not just "good jobs." I was impressed #tlap

A3: We have wonderful Ps-One P in particular is an example for me as a dad of 3. He always tell his son "Make it a quality day!"as he let's him out in the morning.I think that is such a great message and I appreciate his example. He also volunteers in our building each month #tlap
One of the most important things to me is showing the staff I’m willing to take risks and try new things, even knowing they might fail. If we are asking our teachers to try new things/be inventive, they need to see that from admin too. #tlap
A3: @RaeHughart is an educational rockstar. When I first saw her present at a conference @educationISU, I knew that I wanted to teach the way she did. I plan on using @thegridmethod next year. She inspired me to take a risk and #teachbetter. #tlap

A5: Our district started using @CanvasLMS this year. I am learning (and struggling) right beside my staff as we practice and get better everyday! Using Canvas “Discussions” for PD share-out and book study! #tlap
Awwwzers...thanks, Cate. Soon it will become a ginormous list! Once I started I began seeing awesomesauciness all around and then started taking notes for who gets the next #GratitudeFirst email.😜 #tlap
A5: Learning to prioritize and deciding what to pour my time and passion into has been a learning process for me. Sometimes I just want to do it all. #tlap
A5 Being criticized for implementing engaging learning opportunities for my students. I am learning to ignore the negativity to do what is best for my kids! #tlap
A5: I am weaning my students off of guided notes. It definitely leads to more disengagement but it is critical that HS students learn the appropriate #habitsofmind in preparation for life after high school #tlap
A5: Decided to let my Ss choose the unit they want to learn and they work completely at their own pace on different math units. It has been really fun to watch them dive into the content and gives me more time to work with individuals or sm groups. #tlap
A5: Having to push my comfort level in my job. #tlap I'm really focusing on those #zenteacher strategies to stay positive and open to learning new things.
A5-I stay pretty quiet when it comes to sharing my “out there” ideas, but I l’ve realized that doing so isn’t what’s best for our students. I’m still not 100% confident, but I’m getting better at believing in myself. I just have to remember: FAIL = First Attempt In Learning #tlap
A5: I get uncomfortable speaking up for thinks that I feel strongly about. I get anxious thinking about possible confrontation. However, it's my job to do what's best for my Ss. So I continue speaking up and out and am slowly getting more comfortable. #tlap
A5. We need to be open have discussions with Ss and our own children about the things occurring in the world today! There are too many copy cat-repeat offenses- we must build good relationships with Ss! #tlap
A5: I decided this year that I would get up and act in front of my drama students more regularly. Awkward at first, but it's been a great period of growth for me as an instructor and mentor! #tlap
A4: Teachers celebrate one another with shout outs in our weekly announcements and on a board in the faculty room. i recently read a lot about positive praise and how beneficial it is in the work place. Curious to see other answers... #tlap
