Doing much better this school year at making time to #read4fun. Recent reads (that need to go back to the library) and my current one. What are you reading for fun?
Hi! I'm a high school English teacher and I'm currently reading The Girl Who Played with Fire. I think I'm the last person who hasn't read the Millennium series! #read4fun
Good evening #read4fun I'm a former school librarian now working for our middle level assoc. Currently reading Eleanor Oliphant is Fine, although I'm not sure she is!
A1: A book provides things like vocabulary building and recognition that a movie does not. However that does not discount the importance of movies, as some people learn better that way! #read4fun
A1: I personally think that books are better for sure. There is more information to be found in books, and it allows us to picture the book in our own way. #Read4Fun
A1: I think the book is almost always better than the movie. A couple of exceptions: HIdden Figures and Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets (in my mind, anyway) #Read4Fun
A1 I do like the book version better most of the time, however I have seen some really great adaptations, cannot wait to see ready player one #read4fun
#read4fun Greetings Readers! HS ELA teacher with not much time read with teaching and my Masters program. However, I have been able to squeeze these three reads recently
A1. Books are better than movies because they exercise our imaginations, grow our vocabulary and improve our reading skills()possibly writing too)
#read4fun
A1: I think that books are better because it allows for vocabulary building and creativity! However, I do think that some people thrive with movies too. #Read4Fun
A2 this sadly is the first that I am hearing of them, I did see some predictions listed in the paper, but don't recall this, looking to learn on this Q :) #read4fun
A2: I saw Mudbound and loved it. I want to read it because I feel the book will provide more of what I need. Always come away with questions that the book can answer. #read4fun
A1: The book version is usually better since one's unique imagination of characters and setting is what the mind pictures. Movies can make variations to moments in the text that I may not agree with. Reading is fun. #read4fun
A1: I almost always say that the book is better than the movie! My exception is The Crucible, but Arthur Miller wrote the screenplay, so I'm not sure it counts. #read4fun
I refused to watch the Harry Potter Movies because I loved the book so much. Finally did a marathon last weekend and I did enjoy them now that the book wasn’t so fresh in my mind #read4fun
I think #readyplayerone will be a great movie adaption of the book because of how it was written. #redsparrow was a good book, but it would be so hard to adapt... especially how she sees color #read4fun

A3: I read wonder as a middle schooler and I think that it has a great message. Important to have school-wide books that teach positive lessons to the students #read4fun
I heard it was a great audiobook and started it... but had to return it. I probably need to start all over again! I do want to finish before the movie. #Read4Fun

It is when a book has been written, usually a narrative or memoir and then a film version is created to provide a visual display of the story. #read4fun
I actually loved that I read game of thrones before watching the series... so in depth that they could never truly adapt it all... loved knowing what was going to happen :) I know most people don’t like spoilers but I think it helped understand it all better #read4fun
A4 I absolutely love the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The creativity and imagination was unbelievable! I could watch over and over - even now! #Read4Fun
A1: I enjoy sitting down and reading a book because I think it is much easier to see a character grow through the text itself, and reading about how a character works through a problem is always fascinating to me! #read4fun
I loved the namesake! The book and adaption were phenomenal about an Indian-American immigrant family whose son is named Gogol after a Russian authors character #read4fun
A4: boy that is tough. Need to see a list. The Merchant/Ivory adaptations have been fabulous. Brideshead Revisited is always close to my heart as well. I LOVED the Pride&Prejudice w/ Colin Firth but that's mainly b/c of Firth. #read4fun
A4 I was pleasantly surprised with The Murder on the Orient Express. I know it wasn't highly rated, but I really like what the actors brought to the characters. #Read4Fun

A4: I really enjoyed the movie "Hugo", and even The Hobbit. I thought Peter Jackson did a good job with The Lord of the Rings... but they were so long.... #Read4Fun
Q4: I love the movie adaptions for The Outsiders and Wonder! I recently went to see Wonder with some classmates for our Children's Literature course to see if a movie can carry over important lessons in a way that embraces 21st century learning tools! #read4fun
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers such a lovely book about a prostitutes faith journey brought about by an amazing Christian man who loved her. In regards to education nothing springs to mind #read4fun
