Good evening, #PIAChat, Mark here, elementary principal in Hopkins, MN. Just back from a staff outing at the bowling alley. Didn't score a turkey but still had fun!
A1) Easy, I'd go back and thank my High School Spanish teacher. By far, the teacher who made the biggest impact. It was more about creating relationships and meaningful curriculum than grades!! #PIAChat
A1 My 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Wilkins. I remember her sharing her love for reading through novels and she sparked my love for math with multiplication #piachat
A1: Mr. Jacobs, 4th grade teacher. Helped me see potential that I didn't. Volunteered in his classroom senior year, decided to become an educator #PIAchat
A1 I have actually maintained contact w/ almost every teacher I ever had. But today I want to especially thank my 3rd grade T @Lowell_ES who is now a principal colleague of mine as we're both 1st yr principals together. She continues to teach me today #PIAChat

She's the hardest worker I've ever known, and is the best I've ever seen when it comes to working with at risk kids.
I hope I end up half as good as she was.
#piachat
A-1 I would thank Ms. Hernandez, my 4th grade teacher, nurturing and held us to high expectations, demanding of our best and we knew she believed in us! #PIAchat
I love that the educators that most of us want to thank are relationship based. We must put building relationships in the forefront. So much easier to get things done with good relationships. #PIAChat
