Our chat will focus on the idea that we can lead and make positive change from any position in our school systems. Leadership is not about a title, it is a way of thinking and acting.

Questions invite reflection. There are some GREAT questions in this blog and a fantastic quote by Leonard Bernstein! Here's a teaser question: What is it that takes you beyond the mechanics and knowledge of leadership into the realm of art? #leadupchat#WELeadEd#LeadLAP

I know it's a busy time of year so thank you for joining us this morning. We're going to get started soon. We will use the the Q1, Q2, Q3....A1, A2, A3... format. Don't forget the #LeadLAP hashtag
Good morning #LeadLAP! Robert, principal of Los Lunas HS here. Taking a break from celebrating the holidays with family. Glad to be here with @JayBilly2 !
Q1: What were your hopes and dreams for your students/staff from the beginning of the year? Has any of this changed? How? #LeadLAP@BethHouf@burgess_shelley

Q1: What were your hopes and dreams for your students/staff from the beginning of the year? Has any of this changed? How? #LeadLAP@BethHouf@burgess_shelley
A1: I want my staff to continue to grow/learn/take risks and be inspired to be great. I want my students to continue to grow their love of learning #LeadLAP
A1: Since I was new at my school, I didn't have as clear a vision as I would have liked, since I didn't yet know the staff and students. I have a much clearer picture now and am excited to move us forward! #LeadLAP
Gary, former Supt from Ill, now a trainer for CHARACTER COUNTS! checking in from Puerto Rico, creating a character program for 1,043 public schools #leadlap
A1: Two things, First that we are all stronger working together. And two, especially for my students, I want them to embrace curiosity more, to explore and discover who they are as learners. #LeadLAP
Q1: What were your hopes and dreams for your students/staff from the beginning of the year? Has any of this changed? How? #LeadLAP@BethHouf@burgess_shelley
A1 I wanted to find ways to engage Ss more, to get out of the way and let them take more of a lead, try new tools for them to create, and form global connections, Yes! #leadlap
A1: Since I was new at my school, I didn't have as clear a vision as I would have liked, since I didn't yet know the staff and students. I have a much clearer picture now and am excited to move us forward! #LeadLAP
A1: We were hoping to see more restorative circles but Hurricane Harvey disrupted the flow our our back-to-school jam, so we regrouped and will try again with our Jan 8th learning session day. #LeadLAP
A1: That we would be able to continue innovating...in PD, in class, in opportunities for students. Two new curriculums have tempered that a bit, but big plans for 2018!
#LeadLAP
Q1: What were your hopes and dreams for your students/staff from the beginning of the year? Has any of this changed? How? #LeadLAP@BethHouf@burgess_shelley
A1: Empowerment through courage of learning new tools & advocating for Ss. Same goals just focusing on the journey instead of destination with Teachers & Students #LeadLap
Q1: What were your hopes and dreams for your students/staff from the beginning of the year? Has any of this changed? How? #LeadLAP@BethHouf@burgess_shelley
A1) it’s like running a race. At the half way point you begin to reflect and determine if you went out too fast or too slow. You have to make your goals before the race starts or following the crowd may make you run a race you weren’t preparing for. #LeadLAP#RunLAP
Q1: What were your hopes and dreams for your students/staff from the beginning of the year? Has any of this changed? How? #LeadLAP@BethHouf@burgess_shelley
A1: Coming in as a 1st year Principal, my hope was to keep up the momentum that our Ts & Ss have built over the last 4-5 years under their previous administrative team... Looking at the data that just came out for our midway check we are doing it! https://t.co/fanuwIt5os#leadlap
A1: My hope was for us to try new things & push ourselves out of our comfort zone to discover our full potential! We’re definitely still on that journey together! #LeadLAP
A1: Coming in as a 1st year Principal, my hope was to keep up the momentum that our Ts & Ss have built over the last 4-5 years under their previous administrative team... Looking at the data that just came out for our midway check we are doing it! https://t.co/fanuwIt5os#leadlap
A1: Hoped to connect Ss to authentic learning, each other, & the world. Turns out some of that's a struggle because it diverges from 'traditional' school. We continue to try & progress...
#leadlap
A1: We increased our team of instructional coaches. My hope was that our teachers would begin to accept their support and begin to see value in getting feedback. It's beginning to happen #LeadLap
A1 My goal for my Ss was to create a more family-like culture & trust, esp in my homeroom group. I changed all my furniture intentionally, changed the lighting, flipped my year units with purpose & made other changes. The result is a thing of beauty! It’s working! #LeadLAP
A1: For my kids to be able to:
Think critically
Create
Be Kind
Be Resilient
To Know It's Okay to Fail
To not take themselves so seriously.
We're a work in progress #LeadLAP
A1) my goals were all based on affective, long term, destiny changing behaviors. Trying not to follow the numbers and pressures gets tricky day to day. #LeadLAP
A1 my goal at the beginning of the yr was to convince Ts & Ss that coming into classrooms verse being out would have way more impact on learning for All of us - physically exhausting but word is it's working! #leadlap
A1: Though my position has changed since the beginning of the year, my hopes and dreams for students have not: students learning at high levels because teachers effectively collaborate to use data to improve instruction. #LeadLAP
Q1: What were your hopes and dreams for your students/staff from the beginning of the year? Has any of this changed? How? #LeadLAP@BethHouf@burgess_shelley
A1. My hopes and dreams were to build a great team that does an excellent job supporting schools and districts across the state. It’s a constant work in progress it I’m proud of where we are right now. #LeadLAP
3 stonecutters were asked what they were doing - The 1st replied: “Making bricks from this stone.” The 2nd said: “Making foundation for a building.” The 3rd: “I’m building a cathedral.” Change perspective, you change the way you experience the world #leadlap
A1: To introduce blogging to my 8th graders so they have a platform to share their voice! They enjoy it. I am working on getting an official class blog going. #leadlap
It's amazing how tied to "traditional school" kids can be. My 11th grade son wouldn't have it any other way at this point... he's got the system wired. #LeadLAP
A1: 1st year Learning Coach: RELATIONSHIPS! My hopes for Ts would take a chance on me so that I would have the opportunity to take a chance on them = Progress MADE #LeadLAP
A1: With all of the demands on educators today I want my staff to engage in self-care practices. Self-care has been a focus and part of our PD this year. @thezenteacher and @FLOWwithJenn have supported us in this area. ✨ #LeadLap
A2: I think it's hard not to hope that we'd be further along with all of our goals ... academically, behaviorally, and socially. We need to keep pushing and get to the goals at the end and even past them #LeadLAP
A2: No. We remodeled our computer lab into an innovation lab. While a good start, it isn't as utilized as I would like. Working on revamping it for the rest of the school year.
#LeadLAP
A1- this was the hardest semester in my career. In Aug I envisioned our campus trying new things, pushing each other to be better than the day before, & to make learning magical. Instead our world was rocked in ways you wouldn’t believe but we keep pushing forward. #LeadLAP
Truthfully, I kind of fell into it. But, it was perfect; the opportunity was already in place, and they just needed a little push. If kids can get their Algebra I credits as freshmen, graduation rates go up. #LeadLAP
A2: Heck no but in a good way. I had these plans for so much structure and it was not working and it was not "me" So things are evolving. I like where we are headed but it is not the same map. #LeadLAP
A2: Yes, our student achievement in strong. That is not enough. We want Ss to be able to make their own joy, to bring joy to others, and the same for Ts. #LeadLAP
A2) My Ss r exactly where I'd hope. Some have exceeded. I plan to have Ss continue setting their own goals as we continue the school year. I'm also dabbling in sketchnoting, so we'll continue to use that strategy in our learning. #leadlap
A1 Striving to be AWESOME every day. Modeling expectations for stakeholders. Continuing to be a risk-taker and celebrating those around me who are as well. #leadlap
A2: No. We remodeled our computer lab into an innovation lab. While a good start, it isn't as utilized as I would like. Working on revamping it for the rest of the school year.
#LeadLAP
A1: Dreams are bigger now. See the result of the impact made and have bigger goals and dreams for the year that is the result of relationships. If you've got relationships you can go farther. #leadlap
A2: I feel all my Ss have made progress somewhere, might not be academic, but sometimes getting a student to come to school and engage in class is worth everything! Very proud of all of them! #leadlap
A1: My hopes and dreams for this year was to revamp Character Education within our building to focus less on incentives (read: bribery), and more on the value of citizenship within the community. I think we're going in the right direction. #LeadLAP
A2 For the most part yes, some changes w/schedules, teaching Spanish 3,4,5 in 1 class, has been a challenge but we do #pbl and connected globally thru @edmodo@Flipgrid and this was a big goal #leadlap

@JayBilly2, @BethHouf, @burgess_shelley, @edmodo, @Flipgrid
A2: My focus as a school counselor has been #mindfulness and wellbeing. This week a very angry 5th-grade boy brought himself to me before he hurt himself or anyone else, to get a stress ball and do some breathing exercises. Score! #LeadLAP
A2: Getting there. Ss know to be ready for anything, most are game for whatever I throw at them, but there is pushback still when I ask them to think harder in unusual non mc test assessment sort of way. Still getting "Can't we just take a test?" #LeadLAP
A2: I have noticed HUGE improvements in 8th grade reading and writing. I had them as 7th graders and it's amazing what they have accomplished. #leadlap
#leadlap Michele Hill Jumping in late! My greatest hope for my students this year was that they would develop a love of learning first and not put so much emphasis on grades!!
A2 Ts and Ss are taking leaps with trying to include purposeful tech into their classroom culture-still working hard to implement more S (and T!) owned learning! #leadlap
A2: I’m proud of the growth my 1st graders made & the initiatives they started! Excited to keep moving forward & to start our #geniushour projects for 2nd semester! Can’t wait to see their learning soar as they take the lead! #LeadLAP
Thanks, buddy. I am realizing this is one of those "go slow to go fast moments." Need to prioritize and focus on ways to increase stu involvement w/o adding to teachers' overflowing plates!
#LeadLAP
A2: No. We remodeled our computer lab into an innovation lab. While a good start, it isn't as utilized as I would like. Working on revamping it for the rest of the school year.
#LeadLAP
A2- with everything that had happened to our little school I would say pretty dang close. Our Ts are rockstars and really fought to make sure our kids were getting the best education possible #LeadLAP
A2: Getting there. Ss know to be ready for anything, most are game for whatever I throw at them, but there is pushback still when I ask them to think harder in unusual non mc test assessment sort of way. Still getting "Can't we just take a test?" #LeadLAP
A2: We're going to look at data from semester 1, celebrate our accomplishments, then figure out how we're going to integrate all of the calculators we're going to be getting over the course of the semester into what we're doing. #LeadLAP
A1: For my kids to be able to:
Think critically
Create
Be Kind
Be Resilient
To Know It's Okay to Fail
To not take themselves so seriously.
We're a work in progress #LeadLAP
A2: In regards to respecting their journey and progress with EdTech..yes. Our vision, no, but I think we have to be OK with that. The vision is a bigger picture & celebrating the successes along the way will inspire Ss & Ts to see meaning behind tech & get us there #LeadLap
A1 My goal for my students and myself was to embrace a growth mindset through a culture of making mistakes, tinkering, and collaboration. As we near the sweet spot of learning in the year with the relative absence of fear in making mistakes and fueled by this liberation! #leadlap
A2 As we enter a new year, we need to reflect. What worked? What didn’t? What can we iterate? What has run its course? Cannot underestimate the power of profound reflection! #leadlap
A2: We are seeing major growth in our school both academically and in our SEL. So proud of how far we have come in 2 years and 4 months. Looking forward to continuing to live our mission! #LeadLAP
#leadlap A2 I am teaching a brand new class for me, the AP Spanish class. The kids so enjoy it, they love that it is not stressful for them. I’m not sure how they’ll do on the test, but They are learning and loving it!
A2: I'm going to answer this through the lens of a parent today. I want my son to be more confident, fearless to pursue his dreams, kind, & always find joy in his journey-proud to say he's getting there😀 #LeadLap Akilah, from VA. Professional Learning Specialist-here for a bit!

A2: Our school focus is IBL. Ss have had various opportunities to engage in inquiry. They 💙 to wonder & research. Their excitment & engagement increases when they are given choice & voice. I’m excited about the opportunities Ts have offered Ss so far this year! #LeadLap
A2: I'd like to think so. We have had a different community member come in each month to talk about how they display character at their job and within the community. Ss are beginning to see how our character traits apply outside of school. #LeadLAP
Character development is not about words or incentives; rather it is evident in the choices Ss make. Keep the focus in having character become the DNA of your school #LeadLAP
A1: My hopes and dreams for this year was to revamp Character Education within our building to focus less on incentives (read: bribery), and more on the value of citizenship within the community. I think we're going in the right direction. #LeadLAP
A2: With implementing the Summit Learning Platform this year, many Ss are ahead of where they would normally be at this time of year and are pushing me with leadership opportunities for them. #leadlap
A2 Yes they are but, "East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done. We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' Bandit run." #LeadLAP
A2: Never exactly where I plan to be but I am happy w/ where we are! I think I want to start the year off focussed on reminders of the little things behavioral expectations, sound objectives posted & revisited for students... Things that are easy to get away from! #leadlap
A2: With me trying a different teaching approach, their skills have EXCEEDED where I hoped they could be right now. Reading is up! But we are “behind” in material and knowledge outcomes. I always wonder how to strike a balance between the two & if they are a trade-off. #leadLAP
A2 student growth in WRITING has been phenomenal! Are we “there” yet? We are “here” and growing and that’s a great place to be! #rockwallwrites#LeadLAP
@Rdene915 I am! I saw you in their newsletters! Saved the "app smash". I am still waiting for okay from tech dir to let the kids publish. Going to purchase subscription. Trial ends the 28th. #leadlap
A2 Students were challenged to make semester 2 more epic than semester1. All of us have to step up our game. Love their excitement to be better than yesterday
#leadlap
A2: We also don't look at goals as only one year...we are middle school, so our goal is a three year process. That has helped us shift our mindset to continual growth. #leadlap
I try to work smart not just hard:) I put a lot on myself but in a way that will hopefully inspire Ts/Ss to own it so they don't need as much support until they're ready to try something else-Ts & Ss seem very happy to brag to me about the learning they continue to do! #leadlap
A2: My Ts have made great growth, so have their Ss! Where many small goals have been met and celebrated, time to get movin' on the next goals! #LeadLAP
A3: I'd say yes. I'd like to continue grow in my knowledge in all areas of leadership and pedagogy but especially working on a better understanding of equity issues #LeadLAP
That is our intent with the revamping of our Character Education. No incentives tied to behavior. It is an expectation. But we value the teaching of "why" it is important. #LeadLAP

A3: I wanted to try Gamification and have tried. Revisiting in February. Wanted to implement Status of the Class and BookTalks. Work in progress. Blogging is slowly starting. #leadlap
A3: Progress made? Sure...Is it enough...nope! But I hope I never lose that as an educator...constantly striving to be better than I was the day before.
#LeadLAP
A3: Reflecting on my work w/ principals to assist them in stopping to fear what may go wrong & instead have them be excited about what could go right w/ Ts willingly taking risks #leadlap
A2: we're working hard to shift our mindset to focus on growth. Some classrooms are making great strides in personalized learning which is awesome! How can we deliver on the promise of every learner, #FutureReady? #leadlap
A3: Behind in my reading and writing, but on track with my grad school program. 4 more terms to go. Where has time gone? That was never a dream or a thought 2 years ago. #leadlap
A3- not at all. I had to push my personal/professional goals aside this semester and repair the damage our school faced and be a rock (even when I’m not sure I did the best job) for our campus. #LeadLAP
A3) Honestly, I'm always working on being a better version of me, so I don't feel I ever meet my goals. I'm currently running a PLC on non-linguistic representation & am learning a ton. I plan to continue to grow in this way this coming year. #leadlap
I was told recently, "You have to shift your focus from growth to proficiency".
We can't buy into that. We all need to grow and not just chase a line drawn in the sand. Each child, each day! #leadlap
A3: I've added a Singing Bowl and a button bin to increase the tools I have for practicing #mindfulness. Now I work on Social Stations for our January meetings so Ss and Ts can practice. https://t.co/EiyvAxXlos#LeadLAP
A3 I’ve been KILLING my reading goals for 2017. Want to come to closure in some online recertification coursework. Striving to attain Level 2 Google certification. #LeadLAP
A3 my personal growth is an ever-evolving thing. Looking into new and exciting experiences for me and my personal growth ! Wondering where it will lead me!! #LeadLAP
A3 Somewhat, have a long list of things to learn and try, happy I created a Breakout, learned about SPhero, and read a lot of great books, so I am working on it, next is Ozobots, and more VR #leadlap
In reply to
@JayBilly2, @BethHouf, @burgess_shelley
A3: One thing we did that was helpful to teachers was to tie all of our district/school initiatives together into one document so the conversation could be "Look at everything we do!" rather than "There's so many things to do!" #LeadLAP
A3 I’ve been KILLING my reading goals for 2017. Want to come to closure in some online recertification coursework. Striving to attain Level 2 Google certification. #LeadLAP
A3. My goals for 2018 are to: finish the book, enhance #leadershipwithlatoya podcast & website, improve my knowledge base, figure out next steps for my career, and most of all have fun and enjoy life! #leadlap
A3: Been working on being fearless in pursuit of supporting Ts and Ss to be the best they can be, to improve our culture of joy, to give Ss skills they need to be anything they want to be. I am getting there! #leadlap
A3: I feel so great about where I’m at right now & the momentum is exciting. I started a reflective teaching blog this fall. I’m on an Interactive Notebook action research team. I’m flipping reading practices on their head with big payoffs already. #leadLAP
I just loved the name! That will hook my Ss right away! They are embracing the tech I have introduced. I let them play, make mistakes, learn by trying. Put them all in a Google Sheet for 1st time. Comic relief. @ericcurts#leadlap#ditchsummit
A3 Good question. Before I reach one goal, I add two more. Always a work in progress. Really wanting to be an #ARVR Rockstar...... that has so many mini goals. Working on @Lifeliqe and @MetaverseApp over break #leadlap
3) My professional goals are also my personal goals. I am driven each year by the resolutions I write. This year I failed miserably, but am still determined to get there, just not by the arbitrary date I picked on the calendar. #LeadLAP
A3: Not even close. Want to read more books, do more research on model schools and expand my PLN. Also excited to launch a new podcast in 2018 - The Reimagined Schools Podcast. Never satisfied! #LeadLAP
A3: I feel so great about where I’m at right now & the momentum is exciting. I started a reflective teaching blog this fall. I’m on an Interactive Notebook action research team. I’m flipping reading practices on their head with big payoffs already. #leadLAP
A3: I have been on a very personal and enlightening study of Cultural Proficiency with the help of a set of tools and @RBLindsey41 and @DrDBL. It's been amazing #LeadLap
A3: I feel in the past year I have learned more than the first 7 combined. There is something about taking control of your own learning. No more asking permission. For the year to come, more learning. Never stop. #LeadLAP
A3 accomplishing a mini edcamp w/a special crew was hard but amazing- now the exciting challenge is to take the exceptional moments that were created when Ts were leading Ts and keep them going! #leadlap
A3: It was super exciting to publish #LeadLAP this year w/ @burgess_shelley It has been amazing to work to spread the message to leaders across the globe! Look forward to more of that in 2018!
A3: I have done a lot of learning this year! Evaluation and feedback and student behaviors have been two topics we have focussed on as a district.... Time to take that learning and put it more into action to help my Ts and Ss! #leadlap
First and foremost, passing grades. Typically, 50 percent of freshmen fail Algebra I. Not sure, but I think we're under 30 percent. Big step for us if that's the case. The other data you mention is part of the conversation, for sure. #LeadLAP
A3: I feel in the past year I have learned more than the first 7 combined. There is something about taking control of your own learning. No more asking permission. For the year to come, more learning. Never stop. #LeadLAP
A3: Difficult to look at myself. Not where I want to be yet. Still working on a balance that will lead to better productivity. It is part of the reason I am #hackingbreak by becoming more productive and focused in my intentions to complete tasks. (Blog coming soon) #LeadLAP
Fantastic! I would agree with you...inviting students into the goal setting process and giving them ownership of their data leads to great success! #LeadLAP
Thank you so much Allyson! I appreciate your kind words! I truly believe in the power of cultivating #JoyfulSchools-it means we have adults and students at their best! #LeadLap#VBHasJoy🌻#DreamBig2018

A3: Somewhat. I am growing professionally, but I haven't presented out of state yet, which is a goal. I HAVE found my own message, which I will begin sharing everywhere-the PIONEER attitude. :) I am Laura Ingalls Steinbrink afterall. #LeadLAP
I LOVE #LeadLAP!! So many ideas and inspiration--feel like I have written all over my copy and turn down too many corners to count. HUGE accomplishment!
A3: ...and up next is ditching the whole class novel study approach and coming up with a new model combining current best practices in getting books into kids’ hands (40 book challenge, conferencing, mini-lessons, book “tastings” etc). Big overhaul! #leadLAP
That is so important! I also did not reach the resolutions I set (by a long shot!), but rather than give up, pick yourself up, and resolve to do a little better! Love it!
#LeadLAP
3) My professional goals are also my personal goals. I am driven each year by the resolutions I write. This year I failed miserably, but am still determined to get there, just not by the arbitrary date I picked on the calendar. #LeadLAP
A3: Currently working on building my own confidence in coaching PL and I'm in the process of discovering where to push and how hard to push. I don't ever plan on arriving. There's always room for growth! #leadlap
A3: YES! My initial focus was all on relationship building. Now my hope and new goal is to work shoulder2shoulder w/Ts to integrate purposeful tech in the classroom! #LeadLAP
Sorta feels like an operational definition for innovation: Look at everything we do. Now what can we tweak/enhance so it's even better, and what could we add to do more? #leadlap
Yes! I started the year w/me giving them goals, but now that they understand goal setting & how to work towards goals, they've been setting their own goals. #leadlap
A3: Continually learning everyday so I can be the best T for my Ss & leader for my team! Blessed to have attended @ronclarkacademy RCA this year & excited to attend #fetc next month!! Twitter has been great PD, too! #LeadLAP
A3: Currently working on building my own confidence in coaching PL and I'm in the process of discovering where to push and how hard to push. I don't ever plan on arriving. There's always room for growth! #leadlap
So GREAT! I hope you are sharing your approach with others! When students monitor their own progress towards goals they have set, they feel empowered in their learning. Love it! #LeadLAP
A3: in working w/ educators this 1st semester, I can reflect on: Did I treat each w/ dignity and respect? Was the learning community better bc I was in it? Was I better? Am I continuing to learn? #LeadLAP
A3: It was super exciting to publish #LeadLAP this year w/ @burgess_shelley It has been amazing to work to spread the message to leaders across the globe! Look forward to more of that in 2018!
What about thinking about these goals more as 100 day plans than resolutions? That way if you don't meet them you can create different action steps for the next 100 days to get there? #leadlap
A4: Taking a page from @posickj and refocusing our "Be Kind" campaign. We loved @WonderTheMovie as a community...want to embed it into our daily interactions!
#LeadLAP
A4: My first day back is a PD day, which is great because it gives me the "back to school" mojo but still a day to learn and plan. Will have converted my room to flex seating too. #LeadLAP
@burgess_shelley is coming to St. Paul at the end of January and I'm excited to get to meet her and learn. We did a book study around #LeadLAP and it was awesome!

A2 Loving the growth mindset atmosphere. Next step is pushing this mindset into new territory with increased rigor. New muscles can ache as we build them but excited for our collective growth! #leadLAP
A4: It's a new "year" but not a new "school year". We set goals, we read, we write, we remind ourselves of expectations. My year almost runs from Sept-June in my mind. #leadlap
A4: I want to try a few new things, morning free writes. Topic on the board or their own. Embrace soft starts. More latitude for student voice and choice. Possibilities are endless really. #LeadLAP
A4 started off joing loves and needs in one task.... #hyperdocs, research, empathy, buncee, giving heart. It was amazing! But to keep the momentum is the challenge. #leadlap
A4: break up with my office. Can't lead behind a closed door. Confront the stuff the messes with our culture. Too much at stake to let negativity take up space. #leadlap
A3: It was super exciting to publish #LeadLAP this year w/ @burgess_shelley It has been amazing to work to spread the message to leaders across the globe! Look forward to more of that in 2018!
4) I am a believer in making all of my goals public. The accountability will keep me focused. On Jan 1st I will share my goals and choose accountability partners to keep my on track with not only what I am doing but why. #LeadLAP
A4: Hopefully, you’ll put your plans aside that first day and just listen to kids tell you about their break. Give them time to share and use their voice. Make it about them, not the content. #LeadLAP
A4: We have district PD, then work time for teachers. My team will walk around, check in on folks, and make sure that we're ready to go for when kids return the next day. #LeadLAP
A4 January 1st! That is my scheduled REST DAY!! I’ll probably art and rest - but I need ONE day of the break to ..... take it easy! That’s it! After that, read a lot of information writing @LucyCalkins & celebrate growth !! #LeadLAP
A4: 1st day back this year means 1 week until finals. For semester class, finish with deep/expansive look at significant events. For year-long AP course, review for exam & fill in the missing content. Look forward to 2nd sem learning... #theusualstuff#leadlap
A4: some of my Ss just need normal after a break, so I try and provide that for them. Just like they did before break. Holidays are TOUGH for many (speaking from personal experience). #leadlap
Actually- i am little more obsessed than that. My yearly goals are broken into monthly objectives and weekly action steps. I struggle when life gets in the way of a perfect plan ;) #LeadLAP
A4: My class will ring in the new year together by creating personal & classroom goals for us to focus! We share them so we can work on accomplishing them together! #LeadLAP
