This week we are talking about Playing as the Underdog. Not looking for your secrets, just the tips to keep your players believing in themselves and their goal! #TXHSFBCHAT
A1: Personally, I don't like changing what you do. I think you go into a game with what you hang your hat on. There may be other things you do to help your O or D stay on or off the field more, but don't change your system #TXHSFBCHAT
Q2: In this day of film sharing and social media, your players can easily see the talent level of the team and how it compares to their own. How do you build up their self belief? #TXHSFBCHAT
A2) It's about how you build up your program. creating a culture and teaching kids how to believe in the culture that they would join and the future that they're creating
A3: Consistency keeps the head focused on the game, and doesn't allow for players to think that this game is different than any other. They already know who the opponent is, don't make things different and cause more stress #TXHSFBCHAT
It definitely helps players feel a sense of normalcy. If you change up the routine too much I think it impacts them. In our playoff games & even our State title game I definitely was consistent. The players understand what is at stake & part of our role is 2 keep them confident.

A4: Our history as a program has helped establish their confidence. I believe that to be the biggest thing that gives them their confidence. They want to live up to and continue to build the legacy of the program #TXHSFBCHAT
