I'm a Comp. Sci. teacher from Suwannee County. My favorite candy is the @reeses Cup. I offer a special service where I voluntarily take all the Reese's Cups for all that have peanut allergies. It's the least I can do. #FLedChat
A1: The mandate that requires Comp. Science to be offered in all secondary schools. The initial funding was shifted to the "safety and security" mandate. #FLedChat
Yes, all secondary schools in Florida are required to OFFER computer science courses. This didn't mean additional personnel. At some schools that meant closing some electives so Comp. Sci. could be offered. #FLedChat
There are so many aspects of Comp. Sci. that could definitely be integrated into other courses. My Web Design classes, however, go beyond what most classroom teachers have time to integrate. #FLedChat
A2. Let’s have some of the corporations that advocate for these mandates pay for them—at least in part. If you lobby for it, you should help pay for it. #fledchat
A2 I like to use the power of 10 idea. Changes can come from small amounts of money that add up. We get 10 dollar donations to a larger project #FLedChat

A3. Not sure if this is creative, but adjusting schedules helped us with the recess mandate at my former school. My former principal @tharris278 is also amazing at building partnerships with local business to get things done. #fledchat
I have VR Google Expeditions all day, so that should keep the kiddos engaged :). That is if the 5 or 6 Android chargers I wrangled tonight will get them all charged, since I left the chargers at school...oops. #FLedChat
