We will be using the Q1 : A1 format for this chat.
-
- 1st Question Coming up next!
-
is happening now! Join us as we chat about and the ARTs!
-
Adam here from Louisville, KY
-
-
-
A1: For me it is music, photography, and painting!
-
I am teaching myself how to paint! It has been a lot of fun learning something new.
-
Christine from Independence, Mo hello everyone
-
-
-
Cindy from Miami, Florida.
-
A1: Anything creative and messy!
-
-
A1: love music and photography
-
2nd Question Coming up next!
-
-
-
I have shocked my Ss. When they learned I was learning to paint. They all thought I only worked with tech.
-
A1 Love pottery - sensory, grubby, no need to thread a needle or use pins!
-
I haven't tried that yet. Maybe I will soon!
-
A1: Pencil drawing is where I have always excelled but love woodworking and sculpting
-
-
That is what I love about the ARTs ... We each find our own path!
-
-
A2: a few years ago, they used Aurasma to add video to photos of the kids dancing and performing!
-
A2: I have seen Ss augmented art shows and galleries with augmented pieces
-
-
-
-
A2: We have made student paintings come to life using providing more info about an artist or style
-
Which platform did you use?
-
Which platform did they use?
-
OPPS...see it ... It has been a long day!
-
A2: What about have kids video themselves telling about their artwork. Their inspiration, their idea, etc!
-
I love that idea!! The behind the scenes with the artist.
-
we used Aurasma as our platform
-
That was my first try with AR and I got frustrated with Aurasma. But like I said that was 2 years ago
-
Time to use a new platform and try again. ;-)
-
3rd Question Coming up next!
-
Did you have any issues with that platform?
-
A2: The AR coloring pages are a lot of fun.
-
I totally agree. I use them a lot in my classroom.
-
I've been experimenting with and loving it! Got some more ideas up my sleeve!
-
-
A3: That would be awesome to link on school webpages so parents that can't attend can still participate!
-
Did you know you can augment not only an image but an object as well.
-
-
-
-
Do you have pictures of the art show to share?
-
-
I have!! Hi Peggy!! Welcome to
-
-
-
-
Not sure what you mean by augmenting an object. Say more.
-
Next school year at open house, I'm going to tell all parents to download so they can see what their kids do at school
-
I have not tried the Disney ones but I have tried some from the Quiver app and blew the students minds
-
You can augment say a clay pot or sculpture a student made.
-
- 4th Question is Coming up next!
-
There are a few free ones but most are paid. Mickey sat on the couch with me.
-
Which would be a 1 on 1 PD session. ;-) But once you learn how it is very easy!
-
One teacher at our school has shapes taped on the wall for kids to find area/perimeter! Solutions AR
-
-
That is a great idea! LOVE it!
-
-
That would be so cool to augment the program for the school play!! Is there a way to add an AR image to a video slide show?
-
That is thinking outside of the box idea! I will pass those ideas along.
-
Being from Kansas I just had to have an example of the Wizard of Oz augmented.
-
The trigger image into a video?
-
yes so it is animated and alive in the video you create
-
-
5th Question is Coming up next!
-
Well you can augmented digital content, but might be best to augment a still image.
-
A4: Just think of the possibilities adding content to programs.
-
- yes. My daughters and I love those coloring books and crayola color alive.
-
-
A5: I was thinking about using Chatter Pix to bring famous artists to live.
-
A5: I was thinking about using Chatter Pix to bring famous artists to life.
-
A5: I have never used Chatter Pix?
-
Awesome idea! I hadn't thought of that but then every idea you have shared tonight is eye-opening!
-
It is fun. You can make pictures talk.
-
6th Question is Coming up next!
-
-
-
Ahhh...so you can take any picture or self portrait and have them tell a story?
-
Yes! Just think you can even make famous artwork talk too.
-
-
I have used a few of the talking apps for fun before but never thought about them in that way. Love it!
-
OMG!!! My kids love it!!!
-
-
Your Ss are going to go nuts over it!
-
-
-
Thanks for the references!
-
A2: Would you have kids reinact it? Or link to actual footage?
-
-
A6: Think about Stary Night... Ss can write poems about that painting and you can add that as the augmented part.
-
-
-
I'm going to have a busy summer thinking about all these ideas for next school year!
-
Those are fantastic! I was smiling the whole way though. Thank you!
-
You know if you need help I am only a message away!
-
we have used & smashed with to create cool videos such as MLK speaking & other objects
-
Love it... Now you can augment them. ;-)
-

we have used & smashed with to create cool videos such as MLK speaking & other objects
-
-
A7: I think scanning a piece of artwork and learning all about the artist, the type of art, etc.
-
A7: I would like to see Ss created Art augmented along with programs with student composed music.
-
-
If you have a student or you yourself have a sculpture that you want to augment let me know. I would love to help you.
-
A7:I can't narrow my thoughts right now....
-
If you have questions or need help I am just a message away.
