MSLA (Massachusetts School Library Association) is a monthly chat that is held (alternating) on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m.
What resolutions for your library and for you as a librarian did you make for the New Year? Read what some of your favorite librarians had to say. #tlchat#MSLAhttps://t.co/RLhLwzDSYP
I'm Laura Gardner, Teacher Librarian at Dartmouth Middle (#dartmouthps) grades 6-8. Currently reading THUNDERHEAD by @NealShusterman and can't put it down!! #MSLA
I rushed to B&N after school today to get two copies for my library. Nice perk of the job that I get to read it first! #amreading#yalit#thunderhead#msla
I'm Cathy Collins, Sharon High School Library Media Specialist. Currently reading "Lincoln in the Bardo" and it is a very unique and unusual book! #MSLA
A1: A suggestion box (boxes). Seems so simple, but I’m hoping for some good feedback. And, I want to tackle & implement some of the new AASL Standards #msla
@anitacellucci -- off topic, but read THE POET X by @AcevedoWrites yesterday and you have to get it when it's out! Perfect for your spoken word group. Just amazing. #MSLA
nice! I've been tied to the desk a bit lately b/c my library aide is needed elsewhere in the bldg a lot of the day. Miss being able to move around more. #msla
New ideas I'm trying: Global Reads "Bagels and Books" Club before school once monthly; a virtual book club; monthly "maker" challenges including arts challenges for STEAMy learning fun #MSLA
would love to hear more about the virtual book club sometime! are they all reading the same book? How do they respond/share ideas? sounds intriguing! #msla
A2: Another goal is to switch some of our research projects over to more inquiry-based projects. @EDCOProfLearn class w/@anitacellucci will help! #MSLA
Will continue exploring/learning about all things related to makerspace programming success; read more fiction (other than in the news- ha ha!) now that I am done with my doctorate (big hurray!); oh, and planning of a new global shared adventure w students! #MSLA
Excuse me for butting in, but as a MG author invited to speak at the upcoming MASL conference, if there's anything special you lovely librarians like to hear from authors, please let me know ;) #MSLA
A4: My only question is how I can convince Ts to change the way they do their projects...and if we can find time for a true inquiry project. So little time in our curriculum. :( #MSLA
