Nice to add the term human, I really like that. People forget sometimes

-
Is that going to go in your book Shane
-
Q1b:What is one way you can promote or model Digital Citizenship daily in your classroom?
-
A1) I'd say dig cit can be defined as the norms of appropriate behavior with regard to tech use & the online world!
-
Welcome Sonal!
glad to have you in on this.
-
A1b: As an example to Ss, make your own social media accounts something to be proud of - evidence-based, and no hate or bigotry.
-
It's a subject close to my heart!
-
A1b: there are endless opportunities everyday and we have to seize them in our 1:1 dist. every conversation counts
-
A1B:By showing how I interact with others on Twitter as well as in emails. Be respectful and mindful of others

Treat internet as knowledge base, and look at all sides of the convo.
Don't just accept simple social media as truth, fact check.
-
A2b: Teach Ss to think critically
-
Q3:What are some out of the box ways we could promote Digital Citizenship in our schools?
-
A3: IMHO, districts without a 1:1 had bigger issues. 1:1 allowed us to reach the kids and use their devices for good not evil.
-
A2b: by showing them credible evidence to show it's a hoax as well as reaching them what a hoax is
-
-
-
I bet some Ss might learn what the word hoax means from this experience too.
Bonus!

-
A3: allow Ss to practice it through content related lessons

I like that, let them take the role of the leader on campus.
-
Talk to Ss on twitter/insta/snapchat
Meet them in their own environment.
Burst that bubble to prove it's not an anonymous world.
