We have to teach Ss not to be reactionary in their response. They must learn to use intellect first.

Educators teaching in the classroom requires intense deconstruction of white supremacy, not just positive intent.
We need to revisit "required reading" lists in public education and fill the gaps left by our history books.
This is definitely where teacher ed must make an impact, including subject area methods courses.

For many white Ts, focus is always on methods, strategies, CCCS. Racism, equity, cross-cultural tchng pushed to periphery.
