Take students to the events they are learning about in history or to the setting of a book they are reading. Take them to the ecosystems they're learning about in science. #bfc530
#bfc530 We have some floor sized walk upon Indigenous treaty maps coming from Canadian Geographic and I hope to use virtual reality to connect with some of the places/artifacts from across the country.
VR could be used to take kids under the ocean, into the rainforest, or even to the moon. Take kids to places you couldn’t otherwise while remaining in the classroom. #bfc530

Yes! Our 2nd graders, make passports, change money, pack "suitcases" and fly to Australia. When they walk into the classroom and see the "plane" their imaginations do the rest. #bfc530
Hi #bfc530 Today is the first day w kids! I’d like to use VR for tours of historical sites, museums, space, the body. Hope to try this year. I know we certainly use google earth a lot so can imagine it will be awesome!

Not sure how I would use VR but have seen teachers beginning to venture into it's use. Computer class has a really cool VR "thing"-really crazy to use. The experience is so lifelike! #bfc530

I am building an ARVR lab as part of my robotics lab/makerspace. It will probablytake the whole year unless I get the incredible grant from @oceanfirstbank#bfc530 them we will be rolling before June!
#bfc530 I have to get going to the gym but wanted to say that as I start my 23rd year (in a new consultant role) I am so grateful to be in a #PLN with so many keen educators who are 20 years plus. It is inspirational to connect with colleagues still excited!

That was me too! I agree with you. I am always supe anxious. That’s why I don’t drink coffee on day 1. Instead I drink chamomile tea. Helps to calm my nerves. #bfc530

Ours is a couple miles away and located in our downtown area ... thinking research time at the library followed by a lunch at a downtown eatery would be a great learning opportunity. #bfc530
