Q1: Spring is here! (covered in snow!) With many outside stressors (timelines, schedules, testing, etc.) What are you doing to take care of yourself? #MTedchat

A1 Haha! Trying to get in regular workouts helps, but this year is crazy coming back after maternity leave so I feel I’ve been playing catch-up all year. #MTedchat
A1) I left school today at 4:15pm and crawled right into bed. Seriously. A sinus infection and no voice will do that...Also, playing volleyball on Fridays, therapy, choir....#mtedchat
A1: Great question! Getting outside for a walk to enjoy nature. By myself or even during the school day. However, to be quite honest, this snow has put a damper on that for me. #MTedchat

Q1 Ahh... great Q! It's too easy to become a shut-in now that I work from home, so I find fun friends to hang out with! Makes me realize that sometimes we have to CREATE the fun/energy. #mtedchat

OH MY GOSH! My dream job literally came flying out of the sky and knocked me over the head! I am the new Game Developer and Community Manager for @BreakoutEDU! It's FANTASTIC - I still think it might just be a dream... 🤔 #MTedchat
A2: I try to keep my room open to kids before and after school. It can be a safe place for them to read or chat with friends. With testing coming up, they need opportunities for downtime. #MTedchat
A2 we do positive snowball fights. Write a positive on a slip of paper and throw them all and pick one up and read it. I keep all the old ones in a bin by the door and any time they’re feeling stressed they can go read a positive message. #mtedchat
A2 I'm in this fun new position where I come in for just an hour or so, get the kids all amped up and then leave. I like to think it relieves stress! #mtedchat

A2: I try to keep things lighthearted, yet focused. We need to have fun, but also keep academics in mind. #Breakoutedu is one of my favorite things to do for a fun/ academic break! #mtedchat
I like to call it "dreams really do come true" (or sometimes "holy cr** I can't believe this is really happening!") but this is quite nice ;-) #MTedchat

That is just crazy talk. We got 2 inches in Helena yesterday. It may have mostly melted today, but there is still snow on the ground here. :-( #mtedchat

I'm pretty sure kids don't have temperature sensors, though, so even outside could be feasible (with the right layers for the teacher, of course 😉) #MTedchat
This is true for teachers AND kids! It's so much better that you're transparent and honest because otherwise the talk becomes all rumor and speculation... and not usually positive. #MTedchat
A2. I try to take more kids at lunch for talks. Take kids from staff. Teach lessons so teachers can go observe. Hopefully reduce teacher stress. #MTedchat
A3: I am inspired every week by someone's comment, strategy, book recommendation. So many things have come my way because of #mtedchat! I'm thankful for each and every one of you and your ideas!

A3 one of my goals for this spring is to develop one math unit I can have a student test out that is basically like a flipped classroom within the classroom so they can work at their own pace. #mtedchat
A3 So many ideas!! Spring is a time of year in my classroom where I start to question current practices and get inspired to freshen things up. Kind of a trial period for the following year. #MTedchat

A3 OH MY GOSH YES. When people ask me, "Where do you learn all of these new things?!" my answer is ALWAYS Twitter! Most of the new information I get at this stage of my learning/PD journey is from edchats, and this one was my first! 💛 #mtedchat

I was that person who was NEVER going to "do the Twitter" - I just didn't have an understanding of what it was or did. That makes me wonder how many other amazing things I have missed out on because I just didn't understand them... 🤔 #MTedchat
It was the same for me too. I thought it was just all about what Kim Kardashian ate for lunch and I didn't care. Turns out I didn't' have to follow her! But maybe now to your point I should be more open to Kim Kardashian's lunch. #mtedchat
A4 I'm a member of some pretty darn good Facebook groups - people are awesome about sharing on there (sometimes oversharing is a "thing" on Facebook, but it seems to be an advantage here!). #mtedchat
Yes... and think of alllllllllll of the other "things" just like that out there! Instead of doing what we've always done, and cheating our kids of opportunities to learn and do better, we need to stay open to all of them! #MTedchat
So most everyone who loves Twitter now started out skeptical or closed minded. There is a good lesson in that! Perhaps another fun video idea @AnnBruckerEDU#mtedchat

A4. Anything by @ToddWhitaker. Shifting the monkey is good. School recharged. These are to make me better to make schools and staff more efficient. Make me better #mtedchat

A5 school wide we have pastries for parents, a 4th grade “celebration/graduation” in my room we’re going to have a publishing party for our books we published. Also last year I did the pop a balloon once a day with a fun activity countdown.I think I might do that again #MTedchat
A4 OH MY GOSH! I would be remiss if I didn't mention #Sketch50!! If you aren't participating but want to, you can join any time! This is some of the best learning I have ever done - stretch your creativity! https://t.co/B4ZbXlCY4w#mtedchat
A5 I'm just inferring about the Q here... but I know this lady who would LOVE to come to schools and do @BreakoutEDU games with kids and staff! #mtedchat
A6 I like to tell my students they’re “guinea pigs” testing out new, fun activities I want to try with my class next year. In all seriousness I do try to do some revamping of things I want to try in the 4th quarter so that I can tweak them before next year #mtedchat
A6: Student reflection is a huge part this time of year. Often when the Ss are mentally checking out, we assess how far we have come and what we can accomplish with the little time left. It usually motivates them to press on! #MTedchat
A6 I wish, when I was still in the classroom, I had known about sketchnoting. I guess we kind of did it in our Word of the Day journals, but I think looking back through almost a year's worth of sketches would have been an awesome way to reflect! #mtedchat
A6) I just started my 3rd Trimester. I don't get out until June 20th. I like to show the Ss what they did at the beginning of the year and what they know now! #mtedchat
