    A5: I love using music as a hook! For example, when teaching the Cold War, I play “Why Can’t We Be Friends” as students enter the room. They get a kick out of it, but it also makes them place the song within context - why this song? Why on this day? It gets them warmed up! #tlap

    #tlap A6:,Last June I ended the year with a published hardback book each student had a story and illustration in. We debuted our books where authors go...a bookstore. Barnes and Noble allowed my class to take over and present their story individually. Academy Award showcase!

    A7.2: For example, my high school students write a children’s book about a revolution. Next year, I hope to plan a trip to the elementary school to actually read their books to 3rd graders! They have an audience for their excellence! #tlap
