A4 For HS, Parents will get wild especially in our Fil culture that awards and recognitions of their child, the fruits of their labor/hardwork. Good thing, now we no longer have top 10 but Achievers, with Honors,w/ high & highest Honors 🤔 #edchatPH
a4 #edchatph End of year awards aren't popular. Think about yr job. Would you rather be recognised, quietly on the regular or one big splashy retirement do. That doesn't appeal to me. Raise hands on the regular!
A3 We do have Classroom and school recognition. In my class before i give the awards, I speak the reality of life. That not everyone will recognize your work and one must learn to be self motivated. Be your best everyday! You're somebody! 🤗#edchatPH
#edchatph a3 Used a Judge Judy panel of five and they all had to give a one sentence reflection on where and how someone was better at x presentation. Tick a boxes reports didn't work but on point peer feedback worked.
A1: mixed feelings on them. My current school doesn’t do them but my last school did. It’s great to celebrate achievements, but I also saw many young Ss disappointed that they didn’t receive awards. #edchatPH@ginoloko
