Good Morning #bfc530, Kevin, 7th Grade History Teacher from NW NJ. Up early even though my school has a delayed opening for our inservice today due to ice.

I agree Carl. I think it also allows us to be flexible to allowing us to allow more time on a topic that our students seem to have interest rather than rigidly follow"marching orders" of what the day in our lesson plan book says we should be doing. #bfc530

I take my cue from my days writing news articles. Put the most important and best lessons early in the unit, and if there is a rigid date that you must keep, you are not fearing that you are rushing through your best material #bfc530

On MLK Day, here is my hope for my children and for all. With a multiracial family, I have seen some definite improvements since we are so accepted by others. Sadly, in other ways, I realize we all have so much more to strive for to reach this goal. #bfc530
Hi guys 👋🏼 I’m in Melbourne, Australia. I think timing works best for me when my content knowledge is on point. I’m constantly learning and refining the way I teach, so timing isn’t always perfect #bfc530
Ugh time. Wish it wasn’t an obstacle. The only thing I have to share is to make sure that the tasks are meaningful. Over the years I learned to trim a lot. #bfc530

A really good read from @HBSWK and some one I have been following on Twitter for sometime @Bill_George Great clarity and insight regarding the #Leadership lessons from #MLK Dr Martin Luther King Jr. #bfc530@SusZanti5
In his early years, #MLK faced a variety of challenges that shaped his ability to respond with courage at his crucible moment. @Bill_George explains how leaders today can find the strength to do the same. https://t.co/GM7MUdcONW
For anyone struggling to get through their curriculum (short on time) I always suggest Problem-based learning b/c problems hit multiple expectations at once.
And spiralling or cycling the curriculum for better retention : https://t.co/1sTzkKWkuy#BFC530
