My most useful #edtech device is gmail and google apps. It is by far one of the best school district investments in the last 10 years based on tech! Amazing ways to connect 2018 with Ss in a language and format they understand. #NVedchat
A2-Dual Monitors...especially when I was in the classroom. It made grading and posting so much easier with the extra screen real estate. Also, love using @zoom_us to connect with other educators in the district and outside the area. #edtech#NVedchat
Desmos Activity builder is a goldmine. So awesome for custom-making activities, engaging students, and giving students a chance to display their thinking and see their classmates' thought process. #NVedchat
Q2: Flashdrives like to only be taken out of a usb port straight and not at angle angle greater than 1'. If you do then it bends and breaks like candy and you loose all your stuff. #techfail#NVedchat
A2-We had a #techfail tonight when trying to promote #NVedchat. Didn't mean to spam #edtechchat...should have checked the timing. Hopefully, we can still be friends....
A2 when you use #EdTech everyday you have issues, speaker won’t connect, or realize five iPads don’t have app we need, can’t screenshot this year...usually you find it in the middle of lesson so it’s a great opportunity to show your students how to work around problem #NVedchat
A2-Presentation software my first year of teaching was a #techfail. Tested everything, and I mean everything the night before. Of course, the company pushed an update at 5am before class at 6am. Wasn't pretty...lesson learned have a backup always! #NVedchat
A3-#GoogleEdu is the one I use the most! Storage, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and more...it's hard to beat and #free for education users. #NVedchat
So true be ready with plan A B & C just in case. I think the more you teach with #technology the more prepared you feel for the #techfails because you have trouble shot before. I have taught of my laptop using hotspot to my personal phone #whateverworks#NVedchat
