I took the test last year when it was 50% off .. with very little knowledge I came very close ... I would recommend getting to know Sheets and Sites. :) #HCPSTeach
Google has so much to offer ... the podcast I listened to discussed @GoogleSheets, Keep, Docs, Drive, and Sites ... so many possibilities ... #hcpsteach

I know we are a Microsoft district ... but many teachers are using Google — I am excited to hear the advice from @TheBradCurrie as he shares his expertise #hcpsteach
A2: learning at Ss fingertips, portable & economical...using Google drive options, Ss can research, collaborate, type a paper, build/share a presentation, generate data, and blog about the process...unlimited possibilities #HCPSTeach
I need to look into a Chromebook for my personal use then use @DonorsChoose to get more for my students ... @YodaPond did that, love to hear from him tonight! :) #HCPSTeach

Both decided have a different functionality, should be based on grade level & content & end goal...Kinders & ipads are a great combo but the former HS teacher in me would want a CB #HCPSTeach
A2 Any device not just the chrome book allows students to become resource finders. Gives you the chance to guide them into how to find reliable resources. #HCPSTeach
A3 I will say that with my family, we used Google Sheets to schedule care for my Dad. Google Calendar is also a good tool for a comprehensive, family calendar #HCPSTeach
A3: get to know Google Classroom, great way to seamlessly integrate Google Drive functions...and don’t be afraid to let Ss lead & teach you & others tips for getting Googly #HCPSTeach
A3 Printing out their test of quizzes from Forms is pretty amazing. So the feedback is there in front of them rather than having to go back and forth on their device. #HCPSTeach
A3: I really like using google keep. Make a to-do-list for the week. I can share with other faculty members. Color code, Voice notes, Draw an a picture, ect,ect ect. #hcpsteach
We use google everything for @EdCampHCPS planning. Drive. Docs. Hangouts for virtual meetings. It makes collaborating with people virtually so easy. #hcpsteach
A4: I recommend the @Screencastify Chrome extension to create screencasts to flip instruction or to have students show what they know. I also recommend the @mindmeister Google Docs add-on to create mind maps out of bullet points #HCPSteach
A4 Not sure how to label it ... Google Tribe Podcast had a shared Google Keep to store extra activities so that when assessments were completed, and a re-learn activity was needed, they had them stored to easily send out ... clever idea! :) (If i worded it correctly) #HCPSTeach
A4: I think of Apps like short versions of applications & extensions increase functionality of your web browser...can’t live without @Pocket & several for google drive/classroom #HCPSTeach
I have WAY to many extensions I use: Here are the extensions I have used today. Tap Scissors, Tab glue, @alicekeeler Web Cam Record (Made a QR scavenger hunt), page marker, one tab, musical timer, 1-click timer, EquatIO, Google Keep #HCPSTeach
It holds all of your favorite web resources in one spot & there’s an app for the phone, plus you can create tags to sort... no more emailing yourself something to review later bc you can click the pocket extension to save for you! #HCPSTeach
I”m going to have to revisit this chat for all these fantastic ideas. I’m so glad to have met me people for my PLN! Thank you all for sharing! :) #HCPSTeach
A5: it allows you to differentiate, tools like voice-to-text typing allow Ss to “type” even if they have a disability that prevents use of hands, extension for dyslexia are available too #HCPSTeach
