A1. I've done the #oneword challenge/resolution for the past 3 years now. Last year was "DIG" - and boy did I dig deep into topics/problems/myself. #admin2b
A1: This is my first year participating in #oneword. After a really positive 2018 for me and my family, I chose "reflect" for 2019. I don't want it to get too far in the rear-view mirror without really appreciating the year that was. #admin2b
A1) I haven’t done the one word challenge on Twitter before, but we did do it with our staff to start the year. I think my word for this year will be ‘evolving’. #admin2b
A2: Comunication. I believe that effective communication is "the language of leadership" (Humes), a bridge to clarity and enhanced relationships. #admin2b
A2. EEEK putting this out there - my #oneword2019 is 'affirm'. I need to affirm others in the work they do. I also need to learn how to self-affirm. Not wait for praise, even though it's my love language. I need to speak my own love to myself. #admin2b
A2: I chose two words. One is inspire. My hope is to inspire people around me to do great things and to be inspired by those around me. My second word is balance. In my new job I have to find balance in my life. And not be consumed by the job.#admin2b
Well it's a fine line between "needing" the affirmation of others - and "wanting" it. I know the work I do is valuable. I need to affirm myself. #admin2b
exactly! and if my partner (work/life/etc) doesn't speak that language , I can't go daily without hearing it. So - affirm others and self affirm it is. #admin2b
A3: I love that you included family! My wife and I have been very mindful about reflecting and about including our kids in such reflection. With colleagues, I'm tighter to the vest because I want to focus on them, not have them focus on me. #admin2b
A3: My actions will speak louder. I will continue to actively listen, let silence do some of the heavy lifting, craft evocative questions, and make everyone feel heard & show that I care by providing them with my undivided attention. #admin2b
A3: the reason I left my last job and am at my new one was to expand my understanding of education from more of a traditional perspective (in a nontraditional setting lol).

Join us next week to discuss "Identifying gifts." Let's give a round of applause to the talented @GenieneD for facilitating the discussion tonight. Well done. :) #admin2b
