It's a great tool and excited to fully use it this year with my Ss to demonstrate their learning!
-
I love when I hear about Lego tables outside of kinder! Scoop rockers were a hit last year!
-
-
-
A2: intro was easy, many students remember using last year, and taught other SS that hadn't used it
-
A2: Parents are showing their kids which makes the kids excited to learn. They know what Im doing when I take pics. SEESAW!
-
. Parents love seeing their kid's pics on seesaw! My son's T posted each S 1st day pic to journal.
-
Did you have a good turnout at open house? I was contemplating, but wanted some artifacts in the journals first.
-
-
-
-
we use 1st day pic for some art. Going 2 use artwork and chatterpix to introduce ourselves
-
A2: Thinking of starting a Jr Ambassador program for Ss to be leaders & teach other Ss & Ts this year; including new midyear Ss
-
-
-
love scoop rockers! Amazing I can still get down there and get in it-kids' faces were too cute

-
A2: Thinking of starting a Jr Ambassador program for Ss to be leaders & teach other Ss & Ts this year; including new midyear Ss
-
Oh boy - collaboration at it's finest! I see an idea brewing
-
-
We THINK about posts (True, Helpful, Interesting, Necessary, Kind)
-
I've done a similar event in library. Great way to share the results.
-
Awesome! Hope my iPads have space...
-
Ok guys, let's brainstorm this Jr Ambassador thing with Ss in your schools later this year. We can do this!
-
My students parents are so excited! They are giving kids great feedback. Very engaging! Great start for the new year
-
Um, yes! We are going to have so many QR codes this year .. bring it on!
-
last yr my Ss were often sent to help teachers with seesaw...
-
I know right?! Which ones are your favorite?
-
-
-
-
-
Maybe some buttons or badges or swag to go with?!
-
I already have had Ps asking if we are using it this year - it's a must have! https://t.co/j6eObuGIYK
-
-
My students parents are so excited! They are giving kids great feedback. Very engaging! Great start for the new year
-
-
Create a hopes and dreams folder, then print the entire stack of QR codes at once!
-
What a great idea!!! Thanks for sharing!
-
-
Had my kids post initial book reviews on Seesaw! Kids are commenting and making book lists for future reading!!
-
-
I think badges would be a good start. Have S create a tutorial, help a T and S, share journ w/ admin, etc
-
A3 empower Ss by giving them control and show what they know- however they want, photo, video, slideshow etc..
-
Yes, 4 days in and parents LOVE it. I ❤️ letting them see beyond the papers sent been every 2 weeks.
-
-
A3: Letting Ss select what they want to add to their portfolio disempowering for them.
-
-
A3: gives literal voice to Ss learning and that in itself is empowering! An authentic audience is empowering! Ss choice!
-
-
A3 Sometimes it's hard to find time to talk with all Ss in depth. They feel heard when they share in Seesaw
-
A3: We often talk about our brains are growing & lighting up when we learn so the kids are excited that their brain is growing!
-
A3 Choice and options that Ss can actually use to create and communicate on their own = empowerment
-
-
super motivating and encouraging! Parents are bragging at work! Building a great community of learning
-
A3: Blogs empower Ss to form global connections...Pen Pals amped up!
-
YES! I always felt like I was cloning myself. I didn't know what I had been missing out on
-
Love that Growth mindset!
-
Not only heard by us but their parents too if they're connected.. 😉
-
Sorry to go off topic-wondering what people used to teach digital citizenship. Love this community-full of ideas
-
A3: & I can't wait to introduce Go to our students
-
this is great! I had no idea
-
A3: considering using stations in lib. Ss can use Seesaw to show their work. Lots of ideas for stations.
-
Helping students understand no 2 S think, learn, and show what they know the exact same way. Empowering!
-
-
-
They are. We ( my partner ) and I are getting AMAZING feedback.
-
A3 the ability to share work globally via blog and get feedback is priceless and a once in a lifetime deal to some Ss
-
A3: Ss had complete choice/freedom w/this 'recreate a photo' task today & results were priceless: https://t.co/bDDKXtVPhD
-
A3: Any time students have a voice is empowering. That's why individual feeds and blogs are so great.
-
-
-
brand new resource for teachers and students! + a great way to get Ss up and moving around the school / room!
-
-
-
-
Know the power of blogging as I’ve had my Ss do so for past 5 yrs. First yr to do so on
-
A3 we use seesaw posts to guide our sharing time, resulting indeeper learning and thinking the next day
-
-
I found that my Ss actually had opportunity to reflect last year, not run out of time
-
Awesome! Excited to hear what you and your Ss think! + give any feedback to help us improve for your Ss.
-
Gave a new twist on an old science lesson! Results--fantastic! 😃👍🏻
-

-
-
-
Ohh, tell us more about that lesson
-
and it drives the convo at home 2... even deeper thinking
-
- jump into if you're around! :)
-
Up next we're talking organization - get your class examples and screenshots ready!
-
-
-
Share out blog URL on Twitter with to get global audience comments.
-
-
YES! Parents can see and hear what's going on!!
-
-
-
MT Remember, w/big kids, it's easy to use both Classroom & Seesaw. Both part of digital workflow! … https://t.co/ExRRWPKeSD
-
A4: I've never used folders, so looking forward to seeing ideas.

Oh yes indeed! Go into manage class, manage folders to start

-
emojis for the folders .. it's a must & love the idea!
-
It will be a breeze in the skills view
-
-
-
Add them when typing in the folder name
-
Learned how to do that from attending one of the great PD in Your PJs webinars.
-
-
ps: I saw a few class names with Emoji icons today! A great idea for specialist classes!
-
-
Thanks! Doing that right now...
-
holy cow that's a lot of items!
-
A4: I have not created folders yet because my students will be other teachers. Getting so many good ideas.
-
-
That is what my looked like last year! One folder for each skill!
-
-
we haven't started the year but we plan to use folder for special area teachers art, music, science, Etc. reflections
-
pro tip: turn on 'add to folder' for S and T. + add / edit folders on the fly. + re-use colors (ex: 3 dif green science units)
-
I like this idea!! I'm gonna use it tomorrow!
-
Yep! My music T last year, used "Music Class Folder" when she added content
-
A4 Have Seesaw for Schools now; all my specialists will have their own folders!
-
Genius idea today-sight word has its own Ss folder - Ss copy&edit list, record and now I can ✔️one more cloned me off the list
-
Just thought of a folder idea - create one entitled Read Alouds. Add pic of book cover, Ss comment on how they liked the book.
-
-
Print the QR codes from the posts and you've got a 'listening library'
-
Is there a way to select multiple Ss pieces and "batch add" to a folder as T?
-
-
This is a great idea for audio and text comments. https://t.co/3dcowtH8jp
-
-
Just thought of a folder idea - create one entitled Read Alouds. Add pic of book cover, Ss comment on how they liked the book.
-
-

-
I hope this is in the works! :)
-
-
-
A5: using as formative assessment with using task cards

-
-
Early night all.. Thanks for a great chat
-
-
-
-

-
A5: Interactive bulletin board with Ss book reviews. Kids pic with QR code to video

-
LOVE this! Get those tens frames going early!
-
-
-
Q5 I'm terrible with paperwork! I take a pic of blank assessment pgs. Do drawing of student answers. Save & shared with Ps No?s
-
-
A5: App smashing with , , , to share thinking in a variety of ways
-
WOW! That is more than enough. I had five and we were sitting pretty

-
-
-
Q4 I was thinking about trying a stations, STEM project, and math folders.
-
-
How about having students read the books too? Love that
-
I KNOW! I had 5 last year and loved it. 11 and my mind is exploding with ideas.
-
A5: In 1st...Ss record all that 1:1 rote counting we have to assess on ...Ts cloning again!
-
-
excited to explore and try out plus!
-
I've been in school 4 days. My parents LOVE ! ALOT of positive feedback.
-
A5 Looking forward to green screen retells too
-
-
Q3 my favorite way to empower students is by getting them to e plain their thinking. They put those headsets on and just go!

Brilliant Idea! Let's do it! wanna be our gingerbread man voice?!
-
love all your ideas. Great to sharewith Ts who aren't sold on seesaw yet
-
-
-
She liked something earlier ..
-
Conference conversations can go deeper too. You don't just have to go through papers
-
-
Q2 my first steps is to teach them photos and take it slow in K. One feature a week
-
YES! We can record your voice next week! :)
-
It depends what their sign in mode is. If email, nope they just toggle to the next class
-
-
-
-
that's how i started last yr in K. Ss jumped ahead though. So intuitive
-
Q6 Ts reinvent their newsletter & plan to share audio or videos news via . Share an example! https://t.co/M9MrTXmh34
-
we have to remember Dot Day when we make plans next week .. :)
-
Will have PreK class coming to our room to celebrate too.
-
A6: Last year I replaced typed newsletters with audio & video ones. This is me playing with an example https://t.co/QZrrs8T9TF
-
I'll talk with about a Seesaw + Dot Day activity! we can make something sweet!
-
- I feel the need to rethink "Monthly Minutes" and make it more seesaw-ish! :)
-
A6- Did this 2nd semester last year. It was so much fun! Will work toward that again this year. Ss were very involved with it.
-
A6 Get Ss involved too and let them report the news of the week! Throw in a little green screen, app smashing or keep it simple
-
A6Just created a green screen studio for class newsletter- Ss telling the class news in their own words https://t.co/KSkN7Ce2Lk
-
We made a dot day quilt last year with everyone's designed dot Hung in our room throughout the year
-
Q6 I was sending ita weekly email and monthly news. Now seesaw message weekly with kids and google site for newsletter calendar
-
I like paper copy 1x month for those Ps not connected though!
-
-
Love and his brother Paul. Have autographed books and been to Fable Vision in Boston too.
-
Been using notes for it this year..As one parent put it "I always have my phone but not the paper on the fridge!"
-
-
I like the idea of having S reporters that rotate weekly. 1 film and 2 report.
-
You read our minds for our plan this year!!!
-
-
Two things before we wrap up in 1. Remember those two words about ...
-
A6: For big kids, I video & narrate/explain what Ss are doing as they are working on projects/tasks cooperatively.
-
-
-
A6 just created a student twitter handle - they are in charge of what they share daily! Student voice and choice!!!
-
