Yes. I took a college class on political statistics, and it was all about manipulating facts to give the picture you want to paint. Very eye-opening. I'm wondering how something similar could happen with social media. #AkEdchat

Q2:#akedchat “toxic narratives” hits home w me. Concerned that my SEL teachings are going by the wayside as technology hides hearing each others voice vs Rdg it; lack of common sense, lack of accountability for actions, societal damage- verbal/technological retaliation, bullying.
I am thinking that in the future, these platforms will help drive and inform decision-making more efficiently for educators, but will also be used more formally and in authentic ways. I believe that now, we are only scratching the surface. #akedchat
I feel this too. It is vital that we integrate SEL into our daily practice with learners, and take it to a deep level for exactly the reasons you're stating. #akedchat

Education can help communities expand their economic possibilities by training for careers beyond coal mining, factory work, farming, etc. With changes in climate (& life) many of those aren't as viable. #akedchat
