Good morning! Sylvia, Academic Coach / ENG Tchr at a Title 1 HS in Tampa, FL ... but currently sitting in GA preparing for a family reunion #bookcamppd
A1. Also reading these two books about Key West as I am returning soon and want to learn more about the history and houses. LOVE @thestudiosofkeywest book store and hope to also visit there again soon! #BookCampPD
A1. W/Ss - It Ain't so Awful Falafel, for me - just opened the amazon envelope containing Grace, An American Woman in China 1934-1974 & for fun - Morocco & Istanbul travel books to make a decision! #BookCampPD
I am reading it for a BOCES Book Study Class I am taking. As a non Math teacher it is fascinating. I am reading it to follow up Mindset by Carol Dweck. #bookcamppd
A2: I read and led a book study for #tlap last summer with Ts at our school. The @burgessdave himself joined in on our chat sometimes. :) I've been currently working on #socialleadia throughout the school year. #bookcamppd
#BookCampPD...Am reading The Power of Moments ..why is it that when we ask students the peak moments of their schooling that they most often choose moments outside of the classroom...how do we adjust our practice so that Ss have more peak moments in the classroom
A2:Although, A1 shows just how many of these I already own. The last one I read was #4ocf@RACzyz#bookcampPD All T's should read it! It would be an easy book study.
A2: The last one I read was Explore like a Pirate. My favorite is Learn like a PIrate. I love all the examples and ideas from @PaulSolarz's student-centered classroom #bookcamppd
My #TLAP Teach Like a Pirate page https://t.co/H1oG8QX7xe “Education shouldn’t be about raising statistics. It should be about raising and fulfilling human potential. Focusing on the stats leads to a lost perspective of what is truly important—the game.” @burgessdave#BookCampPD
A3: Explore Like a Pirate for sure! I'm really wanting to focus on gamification this summer and am super excited to start a book study with staff this summer! #bookcamppd
I would love to hear more about this and any strategies/concepts you use in your classroom/setting. I hope you will return to future #BookCampPD sessions and share.
Google Classroom book studies are nice. Add Hangouts in there as a F2F option. You can also let T's pick according to the book they want to read if you have multiple choices. #BookCampPD

I have been one of the girls who coded many years ago. ( my first career) It’s lot of fun. Now I am looking at it more from educational perspective #BookCampPD
Can you add me? I may be willing to give Voxer a try again with Zen Teacher. I love that book! I read it last summer. I think I need to read it again. #BookCampPD
