A1 - We use 4 Proficiency Levels: 4 - Exemplary 3 - Proficient 2 - Approaching 1 - Beginning We've found this to work well so far.

A1) I think it can vary by course. I've found 3pt scale to work better in math, and 4pt for others. Any way needs to be a CLEAR

I don't. Sometimes the rubrics will show the S has evidence in two levels. We look at which is stronger to decide.

Sure, good teachers can override, but you want a pattern of evidence supporting the judgement. Kids unlearn skills.
