A1) This is year 10 for me. All at the elementary level teaching physical education. First year was in Iowa while getting my Master's and the last 8 have been at the school I'm at now in Maryland #espechat
I started off with a year in the classroom followed by 10 years straight in the #physed A couple of years dabbling in Secondary Ed (Yuck) and the the past 12 years back in what I will die doing. #ESPEchat#PhysEd
Ive been out of college a little over 5 yrs now. I coached, did service work with Americorps NCCC and traveled the U.S., Charter School 3rd grade T.A. with Americorps, then Illinois suburbs Pre-K, and now 2 yrs Elementary P.E. and I LOVE IT! #ESPEchat
A1. I started in Special Education after college and then landed an Elementary Phys Ed job at 2 schools and have been doing it for 8 years now! #espechat

a1. What I love and please agree and disagree with me on this., I have been teaching 23 years but wished social media was around then as my growth in the past 10 years has been nothing short of amazing. #ESPEchat#PhysEd
a1. I would agree that our teachers who have 5 years of teaching experience and are motivated can be equal in depth to a teach not motivated but been teaching 20 years.

A2) I am thinking I am in need of a change in scenery soon. Feeling like I have done all I can do in my current situation. Might be time to move on to new challenges #espechat
A1b I would have liked to have another #physed teacher to collaborate with at the elementary. But I think that’s okay because instead I had the opportunity to sit next to Matt, @PhysEdApps , in my master’s class! #ESPEchat
A2: I love my job even with the challenging situation I am in. I am striving to make things better for students and phys ed teachers. I am finally willing to take on leadership roles in the #physed community. #espechat
A2: I LOVE IT! I love having so many students EXCITED about PE! I love watching their faces light up when they see my with my little blue wagon! My students who are happy to be in my class and get moving, makes me want to get up out of my comfy bed and get moving too! #espechat

A2) I am currently taking my Masters in Educ. To be honest, it has REALLY opened my eyes to where education is, where it could be, what it looks like and has given me ideas on how it could be better for students. #ESPEchat
A2) Been developing a superhero complex and I want to change the #physed world. Realized that I cannot do it alone (I'm not smart enough) but looking to build a team... Together we can change the world! #ESPEchat
A2) My head is great right now. I have a lot of projects going on that motivate me to do better each day. I'm inspired by little things that I used to not notice. I will say that PE causes me to lose sleep. If I get an idea in my head I might as well wake up at 3AM. #espechat
A1 I was a teaching aid at a high school for a year. A part time PE teacher for a year, at a elementary PE teacher in the south suburb of Chicago for a year and finally at my current school for my second year! #espechat
andy is right IMO on this one. I have been at 4 different schools. What I have learned is to chase administration and not necessarily a student body. #espechat
A2) I'm at a great district, with lots of opportunity!
I'm still a relatively new teacher. A lot of the stuff I'm doing in my gym is not only new to my students, but new to me! This PLN allows me to diversify my curriculum, and find out what works best for our Phys Ed! #ESPEchat
A2 feeling comfortable in NYC, my school, and with my Ss after my first year. feeling confident most days teaching. loving the process of a lesson developing and ready to dig deeper this year #espechat
A2. I love where I'm at. Always learning new things to introduce to my students Currently taking my masters in Athletic Admin and taking care of 3 children under 5yo. My head is spinning, singing baby shark from time to time, and quoting lots of movies. #espechat
A2—The need for us HPE teachers in the building in order to help these kids become the best version of themselves mentally and physically. Also—Enhancing physical literacy and building relationships. #espechat
A2 There’s something about everyday getting a renewed opportunity to be an impact in a ss life that gets me up everyday. It’s another chance to chase my red rubber ball and help others chase theirs! Wouldn’t change it for the world 🌎 #ESPEchat
A2 I love greeting my Ss and seeing their excited faces. Guiding them to be life long active movers and knowledgeable about their muscles is a treat for me. Always trying to improve my practice. #espechat#physed
A2 I ♥️ building those relationships with my kiddos & getting them excited about moving! Not thinking of movement as a punishment or a fix because you did something wrong in the past, but for the simplicity of enjoying it! I would♥️ to have a nearby bud 2 collaborate w/ #espechat
A2 Taking it all in. Lots of reflecting and looking for new ways to get all my Ss engaged, active & confident. #physicalliteracy. From my morning runs past a tennis court (looking for tennis balls- I use them a lot in PE). I am excited #Physed is changing for the good #espechat
I know I'm not smart enough but I realized that if I build the team that we can do anything! If I can get 10 teachers to push and we reach another 10 each... Now you start to see. I can start the movement but not be the smartest! #ESPEchat
A2 I was very fortunate to participate in a lot of physical activities. I love teaching Ss the skills to try different activities. I am still a beginning teacher, so I want to keep learning to be better. #ESPEchat
I did have a few classes yest that left me feeling like I was lost and just not getting it done. finally a stellar class comes through, I was so proud of them I teared up. S says "you know why we do this right?" "why?" "because you're one of the best Ts in the school!!" #espechat
I just got to shape another generation of #physed teachers with teaching my #csulbkin580 class. Hoping to see them make the commitment for QPE and getting involved! #ESPEchat
I come up with a game and some builds. They vote on the next builds. They can write down or draw any game and we will do it with modifications made by myself or the SS. #espechat#PhysEd

A3. I want to go back to the start and build a #Physed program from scratch! Everything about #physicalliteracy drives me crazy and I have the urge to develop an entire culture and community through my vision. #staytuned I have a plan in motion

Dude are you reading from my book!!!! Wellness education is where I am at. Including the #Permaculture in my Scope and Sequence gives purposeful focus to the inner motivations.

If you are looking for a change Ross, that is what I have enjoyed. Working with others to build a program. That is where you have to pair the opportunity to rebuild a program with and admin that will allow you to do it. You get that and you will find great fulfillment #espechat
And they have been fantastic! I have shared them with others to get the point across that what I am saying is world wide not just me on an island! #espechat
A3 I would like to continue to take forward moving steps in helping to build and create a quality #physed program, I want to push my practice and go through National Boards, and I want to further help the profession through PD #ESPEchat
A3. I think also to get holistic buy in we cant think to teach only children. We are teaching the whole layer of the family structure. This is where #physicalliteracy plays an A+++ role. Design our programs so children can replicate aspects they like in their own space, #ESPEchat
A3) I want to take #physed to the next level, Get kids to express themselves, and love PE!!! I am creating Dance videos and putting them on YouTube for teachers to use and get kids dancing! I just want to make a difference in all kids lives when they step in the gym #ESPEchat
I want to be remembered at the phys Ed teacher who made moving & learning fun, safe & enjoyable!! I would ♥️ to one day be a mentor to other phys Ed teachers and waaaaaay down the road, present. I am no where near ready now that skilled YET to present, but its a goal #espechat
