#aussieED was founded on the belief that all teachers, and students, should have unlimited access to Professional Development, on their own terms, to improve their teaching, their schools and change the lives of the students they encounter. Since then, we have embarked on a mission to reach educators, not only in Australia but, all around the globe. We want to smash the barriers that prevent teachers from easily connecting and learning with each other. To that end, we have developed a regular Ed-chat each Sunday on twitter at #aussieED. The chat allows all teachers, leaders, administrators and all those connected with education to meet on an unbiased platform and discuss the real issues that effect what happens in classrooms everywhere. Our chats are authentic because we are real teachers walking the same walk that so many do everyday.
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Join us for this year's #aussieED Secret Santa/Gift Exchange! Fill out the Google Form, be matched with a fellow aussieEDer, spend up to $20 (inc postage) & share the spirit!! https://t.co/Xb5B4UT7bO
Different Chat tonight due to the #aussieED Poetry Slam that was held on Friday. Were you there? Did you see it live streamed? Look at it here: ---> https://t.co/j34FmNJeiR
Didn't see it live but was following loosely on Twitter with what I call "Twenvy" - that feeling when your twitter feed is awash with awesome colleagues out enjoying themselves at conferences or meetups!! <3 Knee deep in a spreadsheet for deadline tomorrow so go well #aussieED
The ONLY question for tonight's #aussieED is based on Friday's #aussieED Poetry Slam... Would you like to attend a Slam event or EVEN BETTER would you like to run one near where you live? #aussieED is happy to help
Calling all of the lovely #aussieED PLN who are keen to get in the Christmas mood. @hollis_k_ is once again running our annual Secret Santa. Follow here instructions and get in on the fun
Actually, I'm sort of hoping we could kick off a NATION WIDE - 'ED POETS SOCIETY' and we could happily help promote each other. Bring the spirit of Banjo back in a lived rather than historical sense in the classrooms #aussieED

Are there any of my brother/sister educators who want to form an 'Ed Poets Society' and run Poetry Slams for teachers in their home cities/states? #aussieED
Love to attend one. Not too sure about running one just yet! If that’s it for #aussieED then I’d better get back to working making dinner for the family!
There was definitely enough love in Sydney to run another one soon. @Angie8881 already has a poem half written! #aussieED BUT I would seriously want to help people spread the idea across Australia

Tonight #aussieED is about remembering our Friday night event and looking for people to help expand the concept by helping to create the Ed Poets Society. Who wants in? Normal #aussieED chats return next Sunday
