A1: For school year beginnings my team has a welcome website that we send out to students each summer to give them a sneak preview of who they will get to work with. Here's a blog post I wrote for @edutopia all about it: https://t.co/3U1G2Y5a7Z#leadlap
A2 Genius Hour is one way some of our fourth grade teachers experimented with last year and the kids loved presenting what they researched and created #leadlap

Hi #LEADLAP. I let students have a lot of control over topics for @NationalHistory projects. Students find a topic they are passionate about and then I ask them to teach me...
So important and That was my biggest goal this year because I was terrible last year! and every day since the beginning of school I say every name every class and magically I’ve learned them all:) #leadlap

A2 @IndigoProgram there is always a choice component to projects. Starting with a broad essential question lets the students develop their own driving questions. As principal, students who ask for changes are involved in writing policy and leading that change. #LeadLAP
Giving freedom, giving choice, providing open opportunities for exploration... Inside the school community, as well in the community at large. Taking learning outside of the four walls, physically and virtually. Validating differences. Valuing multiple pathway options. #LeadLap

Yes! Through reading!!! We no longer have levels or quizzes - students read whatever they want when they want. It's been incredible to watch them set their own goals (how many books can I read in a quarter) and work toward them! #LeadLAP#MLmagical
A2: Taking time—intentionally—to get to know students and staff. Sometimes as leaders we get so busy, we don’t take the time to really get to know those we serve. #LEADLAP
