    Yes. We have a few snow makeup days built into the calendar (such as today), but the rest are tacked onto the end of the year. #bfc530

    Schools that have 1:1 technology can get E-learning days approved, but my district does not have this technology. #bfc530

    Nice! Took my dad and nephew to PNC Field about a decade ago. Whenever anyone asks me the best MLB stadium I have ever been to, I say Pittsburgh. #bfc530

    For snow and hurricane days we have a makeup policy for work. Open and close published deadlines remain firm. #bfc530

    We had a cleaning day for a Hepatitis A outbreak that was waived. We also had 2 weeks waived when tornado destroyed our school as we prepared alternate facilities to temporarily handle us. #bfc530

    My husband's district does a "blizzard bag" which is a paper and pencil way to get some work done. At the middle school, it's usually a book to read (a section each bag day), and discussion points to prep. #bfc530

    Growing up NJ, we used to have this week off called Mid Winter Vacation. Did anyone else have that? Rumors was that is was way to lower the temps in the schools in order to save money on heating costs. #bfc530
