All winter I arrive in the dark and leave at dusk. So getting a little sunlight via the windows is nice. #bfc530
My classroom has always been my favorite spot. I know some T's say its "our space" w/students, but I see it as me welcoming them into "My Space" or "Ballpark" in my case. #bfc530
You organize your books by color! A few weeks ago, someone posted on how a student her to help him find a book. He couldn’t remember the title or characters’ names, but it had a red cover. This is how kids think! Plus, it’s pretty. 🤗🌈📚 #bfc530
My desk chair broke at the end of last school year. Best buy I made this summer was a leather recliner from Habitat ReStore (it was the same price I was willing to pay for the chair) I don't relax in it during class, but there are those lunch periods where it does its job #bfc530
I don’t think it detracts from students‘ sense of belonging & agency when teachers design the classroom—and thus create a welcoming environment conducive to learning and relationship-building. We also humanize ourselves & show intentionality, and students pick up on that. #bfc530

My mother-in-law is a retired director of pupil services. Her district gave these apples out to staff who went above and beyond throughout the year. This now sits on my desk to remind me to work my hardest, to appreciate the work of others, and to come home to my family. #bfc530
#bfc530 Have you ever put stories together with deliberate linguistic errors. Then students can play spotto. It's a very satisfying way of analysing written Spanish or unwritten #Auslan or #BSL And because it is PBL it can be assessed formative style wise
