I can’t wait to hear all about the wild ride… Stay connected to the #XPLAP community and my Channel… Love to hear from ya! Have a great start to your year!
Hello #XPLAP community...
I am Michael, Author of #XPLAP and Middle School History Teacher.
One of my favorite moon shot moments in history has to be the light bulb! We Brought Light where their was darkness.
Hey #XPLAP! Stella 7th Grade Science Teacher from KY jumping in for a big. Ready to take one small step for a teacher and one large step for my students in the remainder of the school year.
Hi everyone! Ryan, 8th Grade US history teacher from Olathe. Fav moonshot moment: Pres Lincoln’s decision to save Yosemite & Mariposa Grove totally sight unseen in the middle of the Civil War! #XPLAP
Helllo all... Mady from Dallas! My favorite moonshot is really the people behind it that discovered something no one else knew about, built something that didn't exist yet, or said I'll do it even when they didn't know what the outcome would be #XPLAP
Rena Hawkins, K-2 Principal from Smithville, MO. Having lots of moon shot thinking this year as we transition to K-6 neighborhood schools, undergo millions in renovations, and open multiage co-teaching classrooms! #ssdpride#warriorscreate#JoinTogetherJanuary#XPLAP
Excited to join #XPLAP for first time. I'm Leslie from a non profit in ATL that grows eduleaders across state of GA. Fave moonshot moment: Everyone: "People can't fly." Wright Bros: "Yes they can"
Andrew, teacher and tech integrator from Colorado. While I love the renewed interest in science that came with the moon landing, the Human Genome Project was quite the endeavor. #XPLAP
Yes! Hidden Figures is now one of my top favorite movies because there's just no telling how many other amazing men and women of all colors and nationalities led to some of our greatest discoveries! #xplap
#xplap I was excited to join in tonight but I'll be putting the moonshot theory into play while I see about getting the power back on in my house! #homeowner
Ben Hartman, Instructional Coach from suburban Chicago. Favorite moonshot moment is.... flyng buttresses in architecture, enabled amazing spaces for the gathering and sharing of ideas #XPLAP
Hi! Jocelyn, Dig Lit Resource Tchr in Toronto, ON! Glad to be back to #XPLAP after awhile! Loving the shifts to embrace Genius Hr/Passion Projects, and "soft" skills in education more now. #moonshot
Holly, Science Gamer in NC. Moon Shot: Must agree with the Wright Bros mantra - since I'm looking at their monument from my window! #firstinflight#XPLAP
Thank you so much, Tisha! You are so so sweet. I received #Empower today and haven’t been able to stop reading! I highlighted so much in the Forward! :) #xplap

A1) I would love to start and stay consistent with a blog and podcast, rework and create all new units for my classes, and create a solid game for next year. In a few words - Be Consistent!!! So hard #xplap
A1: Shifting our SS curriculum to be skills-based & grading to be standards-based to be implemented beginning next school year. And, revising my game to empower students to value & preserve our past. #XPLAP
A1 Complete MIE, @Google, @nearpod trainer levels. Most important meet every student where they are and help the grow where the see their future. #XPLAP
A1: I want to present at a national conference, steadily contribute to Twitter & the #eduworld w/ my blog, and I want to talk to every student in grades 2-5 @ school & show them how they've grown in their reading lives this year. #xplap
A1: I would like to publish a vlog a week and have #skethcnoting / visual thinkings power flow over from Edu into houses and families! Let's draw/create together! #xplap
A2: Finish 2nd book and encourage Ts all over the world to consider passion-based learning as a way to empower Ss as they learn by doing. #geniushour#XPLAP
A1) Want to get more of my schools to embrace gamification and student interest-driven learning. Hope to see more cross-subject activities developing. And I plan to run a 10km charity run in May! #XPLAP
A1 This year I started a blog... Started the #XPLAPcamp slow chat... I think this year I want to start my own pod... Something along the lines of "Whats Your Game..." #XPLAP
A1: There is so much to accomplish this year with a combination of new grade levels, staff, and Ss @MapleWarriors in the fall of 2018. Working on balancing ending the 2nd half of this year strong and forward thinking. #XPLAP#ssdpride#warriorscreate#JoinTogetherJanuary
A1) I would love to start and stay consistent with a blog and podcast, rework and create all new units for my classes, and create a solid game for next year. In a few words - Be Consistent!!! So hard #xplap
A1: What can I do differently? How can I disrupt status quo? Whenever I face an seemingly impossible task this semester I'm going to reflect on those questions. #XPLAP
A1: To create some sort of VR environment for one of my gamified classes. @mrmatera and @andrewjjulian touched on this in one of the amazing #WellPlayedU episodes from last month. #xplap
A1 I want to plan some after school multi-grade level collaboration activities. Not everyone gets excited about staying after school when it's not required. #XPLAP
My first game was mid-year and for one quarter. Make sure you know why your waiting and that it isn't really just fear stopping you #XPLAP#SpeakFromExperience
A1 Stealing from #tlap. Have EVERY student REALLY want to come to class - even if it wasn't required. I strive for it but know it hasn't happened...yet. Selling tickets would be the next level #xplap#growthmindset
Hello everyone! Sorry I’m late, I lost track of time reading a book! Happy to be here and learn new things! Oh, and I’m Amanda. I teach 3rd grade in CA. 😀#XPLAP
Moon shot, A1 To bring a maker space to my classroom, get a grant for some tech in my class, to finish my Google Trainer, and become a @AppleEDU Educator my moonshots. #XPLAP
So true Ben! I hope you get it up and running soon so I can learn a thing or two. #XPLAP Check out the latest #WellPlayedU podcast as it is about blogging!
A1: Not really gamified learning, but last year we gave away over 1,200 new books and another 1,000 used books to kids in the district. This year my goal is to give out 3,000 total books. #xplap
I am starting a Programming and web design class tomorrow. Feel totally unprepared. Going to learn with the students and fail forward. Using https://t.co/PjNLjXodjg Curriculum to help me out. #XPLAP@codeorg
A2: Giving students the chance to select topics to research and share in unique way couples curiosity, creativity, and motivation . I am always impressed with the final results. #XPLAP
Our school started "honor society" after school club that were mixed grade levels... interested in (insert subject here)? Come after more to dive into the subject matter even more! teachers volunteered to lead! I did the social studies one! #XPLAP
A2: I’m very curious in what more #gamification in my classrooms sing some new tools will engage my students in fact I’m adding more game features and themes to the classroom this semester #XPLAP
A2: Hoping to attend #USMSpark this summer to get a ton of ideas. Hoping to explore ways to get Ls connected to the world thru our lessons & projects. #XPLAP
A2: A small example of how we tap into curiosity and wonder! Today our food trucks arrived in Midwest! They had to unlock clues to first recipe! Any guesses what it was? #xplap#tlap
Curiosity and Wonder are at the center of my #Gamified classroom. It really is a huge part of the #XPLAP style of #Gamification… Building experiences not just lessons.
A2: (1) Know your audience and their interests *and* (2) Weave in relevant ideas, opps to solve real problems and pitch to authetic audiences. Ss ideas often surpass my own #XPLAP
A2 Looking to provide my students with a chance to discover! Unlocking hidden achievements and provide inquiry-based projects is at the top of my list #XPLAP
Just do it! Bit the bullet a couple of days ago and wondered why it took me so long. 5 mins and a couple of dollars later I am now the proud owner of "my domain" #XPLAP
A2: I believe the only way our Ss will be curious about things and explore is if our Ts do too! They feed off our passion and excitement. Ts must find a way to share those moments in class and give Ss opportunities to discover their own passions #XPLAP
A2: Teach with passion. Teach relevant skills. Teach with topics that interest my students. Let math serve the conversation not let Math be the conversation. use 3 act math lessons more #iteachmath#xplap
I use the mycred Wordpress plugin on my gamified ecourse site. The plugin provides XP, currency, badging, ranking etc. I managed to find a way to award students points by completing @MetaverseApp experiences #XPLAP
In reply to
@hollysking, @jkervs, @mrhagedorn, @mrmatera, @andrewjjulian, @MetaverseApp, @MetaverseApp
Q2: Tap into Curiosity & Wonder...I teach K I just have to get out of the way and honor by being present and nurture Ss natural state -- don't teach it out of the Ss #XPLAP
A2 In the 2nd book of our novel series I have adventure path lit circles where my students are exploring the novel in a way that leans towards their own likes and interests! I also have some exciting characters that pop in and shake things up! #xplap
A2: Skyping with experts in the field or people from faraway places ALWAYS ignites curiosity in my students. I have never finished a Skype where my students didn't have more questions #XPLAP
Love it Eric… Bringing play back into the FAMILY is huge… In almost any other point in history, families played together. Now, parents just send their kids to the basement. Such a missed opportunity for fun, and to connect with your child. #XPLAP
A2: WHAT IF? Encourage a growth mindset in your classroom. When students are given choice, allowed to explore, and have permission to fail, they are engaged and naturally curious! My students have really enjoyed dabbling with @MathDenisNJ 's unanswerable questions. #XPLAP
A2: Encourage Ts to explore and try new things in the classroom. I need to model this in my interactions with Ts and Ss. Encourage curiosity and wonder for our students every day. Let them ask questions, be creative and try new things #xplap
A2) Add activities like @breakoutEDU games, mystery Hangouts, drop hints into instructions, bring in items that SEEM to have no reason for being in the space, encourage them to build their own questions... #XPLAP
Love that idea. I want to engage Ts to grow our craft. That's a harder sell. Some will stay for a S group but won't stay for their own growth and conversation. #XPLAP
A3: Always focusing on the positive and reminding myself that improvement is the goal. Even when I stumble, I learn, & I need to help Ss see that too. #XPLAP
A2: Great question! I want my Ss to be curious & wonder about many things. This winter break I tried to come up with new hooks, to inspire and engage Ss. Also, trying to add more out of desk activities to go w/district curriculum. (Scoot, scavenger hunts, qr hunts, etc) #XPLAP
A3: One step at a time! I LIVE off to do lists... breaking down all these things I have to do into smaller steps and prioritizing what has to be done now and what I can do later #XPLAP
A1 The first thing I have learned to peak the Curiosity and Wonder of myself, is to dig in, ask questions, and find out how to make something work. With Ss its' all about finding a motivation to peak their interest and turn the tables slightly so they want to find out. #XPLAP
A3: Local Control. Doing big things in a small space builds change that happens now, for those we are most accountable too.
Every big shift begins with a small idea and the willingness to try.
#XPLAP
A3: Challenges are opportunities. The feeling of success comes from achieving something that has a high probably of failure. Keep at it, the same as we expect from our students. #XPLAP
I have learned to lean on my peeps, to use them to idea talk and they keep pushing me. Most of all I’ve gotten used to fear and how to muscle past it and leap!! #xplap
A3: I think just keeping the end in mind. What will the end product look like? Remember that change takes time. don't judge my success based off of other peoples results or efforts. Be my own measure of success. #xplap
A3: One step at a time! I LIVE off to do lists... breaking down all these things I have to do into smaller steps and prioritizing what has to be done now and what I can do later #XPLAP
A3: By remembering why so many of us do what we do...because we believe in this generation of learners enough to take the risks that will result in real learning and empower them to change the world! #xplap
A3: HAVE COURAGE! Walt Disney kind of summed this up for me when he said, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." #XPLAP
A3: (part 2) ... it's also important to identify what makes you feel happy and then make time for it in your daily life! It will make overwhelming days a little less suffocating #XPLAP
A3 Big Goals. Small Bites. Then I reflect on my understandings and practice on my blog.
Only one way to eat an Elephant... One bite at a time...
#XPLAP
A3: I got a small planner to keep track of my Twitter chats because I find I get the best ideas and motivation from them. It helps when I get in the nitty gritty of the daily to-dos. So #xplap, I'm counting on you! Lol
A3: Find accountability and encouragement! If there is no one in your building that will keep pushing you towards growth than expand your PLN here! It can be easy to fall into excuses and complaints but #rise and do what’s best for your students! #XPLAP
This is funny. I am listening @simonsinek right now and he is talking bout how we love to make list because when we cross off something on our list our body release dopamine. #XPLAP
A3: I know it sounds counterintuitive, but accepting utter and complete disaster as a possibility actually allows me to meet the challenge head on. Before I can be fully immersed in something, I have to ask myself, “How badly can this go?” and answer the question honestly #xplap
A3. Knocking out the challenges one at a time seems like a good plan to me. It's to easy to get derailed by the enormity of combined challenges. #XPLAP
I know I am behind but Q2 The other way I get my Ss to be interested is through play. The best way to reach that level is to #PlayLap - #XPLAP From 2-99 or even older the best wonder is found through play.
A3) Start small, make lists, ask for help BEFORE I get overwhelmed, hand over more control to the Ss, and make sure I'm keeping myself healthy along the way! #XPLAP
Such an important part of anyone's PLN. The diff. between my first attempt at blogging and now is that feeling of accountability I have to all of you ;) #XPLAP
I've done that over the break because the chances of me looking at my to-do list/planner is ehhhh 25% when pajamas are staying on all day :) LOL #xplap
A3 I choose to see the challenges as opportunities not barriers. Mindset is everything, whether you believe you can or believe you can't, you are right. #xplap
I once heard that once you climb the top of your mountain you realize that there is another mountain even higher to climb but you wouldn't know it was there until you climbed your first mountain. #XPLAP
A3: I look forward to everyone suggestions on this one! For right now, my plan is to take it day by day. Trying to not stress out of a lesson doesn’t go as planned. To learn from it, and make tomorrow a better day. #XPLAP
I once heard that once you climb the top of your mountain you realize that there is another mountain even higher to climb but you wouldn't know it was there until you climbed your first mountain. #XPLAP
A3 Get comfortable with discomfort. Discomfort, confusion, uncertainty is all part of creating. Have to learn to be patient and trust that through the work, answers will come, puzzles will be solved. #xplap
A4: This PLN has been a godsend! I’ve presented on my game a couple of times this year & have worked to inspire our new Ts on our team this year. Also @NatlParkService always inspires me! #XPLAP
A4 First and foremost, @tishrich@hmarrs24 are my main encouragement. Of course my #PLN and my many #xplap crew members. I hope I give encouragement through my chats.
A4: This #XPLAP community encourages me to continue to create ideas and share them out in Blogs, Vlogs, YouTube, Podcasts and more… Thank you so much guys! Subscribe to the channel: https://t.co/SB0FREaG5x
A4: "We don't do things because they are easy. We do them because they are hard." - JFK I'm so fortunate to be surrounded by awesome and supportive educators in my school district. #XPLAP
A4: @JenWilliamsEdu inspires me to dream. She tends to see goals for me I often fail to see for myself. As such, in 2018 I want to pay it forward and see in others what they’ve yet to see in themselves #xplap
A2: Looking at how learning concepts affect us today and in the future. Adding more opportunities for learners to ask questions and explore connections that interest them! #XPLAP
A4: Support of my #PLF and fam at home... I plan on reading more blogs and sharing feedback for double the growth! A huge smile and good vibes are always s huge pay forward too! #xplap#Nan3EDU
When I feel like giving up I look around my school into the eyes of our future. That’s 1300 reasons not to give up every single day. Our kids count on us to be our best selves so they can become their best selves. When encouraging Ss or Ts, it’s all about relationships #XPLAP
A3: Take time to "sharpen the saw." Focus on the things that make you happy (family, friends, hobbies) and take time to reflect on the work you are doing. Prioritize the tasks that need to be completed and find those colleagues that are supportive. #xplap
A4: Inspiration: My faith and the joy on the faces of my Ss when they are having fun and master a task they did not realize they could -- addictive, makes we want to be the best I can be #XPLAP
A4 @YoMrsRenard is my backbone (and my dime piece. Seriously, she’s a ten.) @tank2023 has been the best partner I never knew I needed. @HeckAwesome has been an amazing encouragement and help @vtmom23 and @goMercerEagles have let me run with my ideas. #xplap
I just wish high school teachers would also see the benefit
I work in a 6-12 building and many teachers in the upper grades see it as a "littke kid thing" #xplap
a4) usually my students, the #xplap community, any sort of conference I get to go to. Honestly having a hard time keeping with it this year. Too much personal stuff going on.
A4: My students encourage me, and my team...my #PLN and meeting teachers across the state during my sessions at conferences. I hope to be an encouragement in others by investing time in them when they want to chat, have coffee, be acct partners, etc. #xplap
A4: So many people in so many different fields inspire me... Watching people take their passion to make the world a better place inspires me to take what I'm passionate about/ good at and do something productive with it #XPLAP
A4: I am encouraged by student engagement, excitement, and learning. Seek other like-minded educators and share the passion/collaborate to positively influence the entire school! #xplap
A4: Not to sound mushy, but my wife. She works ineradicable hard and inspires me to be make my best better everyday. I also have to say my Twitter PLN. I can't tell you how much joy I get with connecting with so many great educators. #PLN365#xplap
A4: Me to others? Always respond to requests for help whether my ideas are big, small or helpful.
For me? I'm hoping to rely on you, my #xplap friends!
A3 One Step at a time, Find the moon, Find your dreams Find others who can bolster you up throughout the year, take a break on the weekends. #XPLAP and Never give up
A4: Failure due to not trying is not an option. Fail forward and keep going! Surround yourself with positive people who encourage you. Model hard work and celebrate success to encourage others! #XPLAP#ssdpride#warriorscreate#JoinTogetherJanuary
A4 The #xplap PLN is fantastic. Look forward to #WellPlayedU and sooo many great blogs to read now. I think a lot about my students #kidsdeserveit I put in the extra ⌛️for them
More often than not, the answer is unfortunate but not dire. By failing to ever beg the question “What is the worst that can happen?” we live in irrational fear of an outcome that isn’t even that bad. #XPLAP
As a lifelong learner, conferences always reinvigorate me and get me excited to head back to the classroom to try new things! I wish I could go to more! #XPLAP
A4 The #xplap PLN is fantastic. Look forward to #WellPlayedU and sooo many great blogs to read now. I think a lot about my students #kidsdeserveit I put in the extra ⌛️for them
A4: We are all apologizing for the cliche, but it is my truth too. My own kids "don't allow" me to give up. They are learning from me so I need to model the behavior for them. #XPLAP
A4: My learners inspire me everyday. Building meaningful experiences and relationships to promote lifelong learning. Here’s a sweet reminder of my purpose that I just got in the mail! #XPLAP
A4: "You will never influence the world by trying to be like it." Having a PLN on Twitter is a priceless thing. There are so many remarkable educators that are willing to share, challenge, and encourage each other! #TLAP#XPLAP
A4: I am blessed to have the #xplap tribe, my admin, family and many coworkers to encourage me towards my goals and I hope I can return the blessing in any way I can.
Me, too! As a high school teacher, I see a huge benefit in using #XPLAP across all ages. Why can't learning be fun, engaging, autonomous, and "outside of the box"?
A4: My students inspire my game daily by asking questions and adding elements!
Also my #OneWord2018 is SHINE so I will do what I can to be that light for others and help them find their light for their students! #xplap
A5: That middle-school Ss can use social media, SS skills/content to inform & change the world. I want to see them take our learning as a mission to preserve & protect our past for their children. #XPLAP
Why is it so easy to help others, but a struggle to ask others for help? I feel like I'm imposing (even though I never feel this about others when THEY ask for help) #xplap
A2: My homeroom students and I are all going to set an individual learning goal over one of our interests. Mine is going to be to learn more creative fonts to write on my chalkboard quote of the day. #xplap
Q5: Desired change 2018: Encourage Ts to take risk and move beyond factory style ed into student centric, blended learning, creative instruction #XPLAP
It bothers me that some educators have not discovered the power that comes from thinking creatively about how students learn and choice learning #xplap
A5: #xplap I'm going to defend students who have received years of intervention and still aren't making progress. It's not THEIR fault, it's not the parents fault, it's our responsibility for all students to learn at high levels. I'm not going to sit silent in 2018! #IPromise
A4 - Too many sources of inspiration. My daughter and watching her learn and grow through play. The hard work of my family over the years. Ts and Ss who deserve the best environment to learn and grow. #xplap
A5: I choose to be bothered by “This is how it has always been done” mentality… Lets move forward and think beyond the past… Today, in the present, we can construct a new future! #XPLAP
A5: I will choose not to be bothered by the thoughts of others. I want to try new things, fail, learn, try again, become better, fail forward, and share. #xplap
a5) it bothers me that some people still expect us to teach directly from the book and give worksheets and do everything for the student so it's easy. #XPLAP
A5 Show the education world that social media is a positive in our lives not a negative. Of course, it needs to be taught in a more responsible way in ALL classes and by ALL Ts and ss. #xplap
A5: I choose to be bothered that there are too many classes where kids are not experiencing the joy and passion of learning!!!! NOT OKAY! That's why I'm choosing to "AMPLIFY" in 2018! #xplap#tlap
A5: CRITICS. You could choose to be botered by the critics, but don't! It's easier said than done at times, but as @burgessdave says, "Don't let critics steal your soul!" #XPLAP#TLAP
A4: Anything less than your best will continue to bother me. This is true coming from Ss, colleagues, and administration. We have the most important job and it deserves our best selves. #XPLAP
A5: Boring lessons that do not engage or empower students to do their very best work. I will work to end this for my classes and coordinate with others to do the same. #xplap
A5: Bothered by punishment that does not change behavior, unengagement, energy vampires, fixed mindset. Time for Trauma Informed Care, #PumpThePositive, Kindness, and reflection. Break the status quo! #XPLAP#JoinTogetherJanuary
A5) Bothered by focus on compliance, not engagement. Or on standardized ANYTHING... kids are not standard! Need to change it up to engage with today's youth on more levels. #XPLAP
A5: First of all LOVE this mindset. Have to keep being bothered by the mindset that students have when it comes to grades. Want our school to be more intentional with the HW they assign or #ditchHW#xplap
A5 When others refuse to use tools that are technology adaptable, because its better on paper. Not griping but ready to cause a stir if someone tells me I can't #XPLAP
A5: I choose to be bothered by the idea of #tweaking a lesson. No. In order to innovate and be better I need to completely overhaul. #Tweaking is using same old things with a coat of paint or "chocolate covered broccoli" #XPLAP
A6: One of my passions is global education. I will be traveling to Uganda this summer to collaborate with some teachers and work with students. So excited for the challenge and the growth that will come with it! #XPLAP
RT @jkervs: A1) Want to get more of my schools to embrace gamification and student interest-driven learning. Hope to see more cross-subject activities developing. And I plan to run a 10km charity run in May! #XPLAP
RT @MrsLedford6Eng: A1: This!... and I would also love to get others to see that gamification and flexible seating is not just a "middle school thing" #xplaphttps://t.co/BFHCTs5wUJ
RT @Ryan7Read: A2: I’m very curious in what more #gamification in my classrooms sing some new tools will engage my students in fact I’m adding more game features and themes to the classroom this semester #XPLAPhttps://t.co/IPwDe1jXeI
A5: I find it bothersome that the industrial model of school doesn’t fit students. Innovate and create change in education by having some moon shot thinking! #XPLAP
A6: Obvs teaching is my main passion, but also @NatlParkService & all they do to preserve our lands & history. I want my Ss to see that value & become inspired in their own passions & maybe learn to love SS too! #XPLAP
A6 Sharing that personal evolution can be the catalyst for classroom revolution. Being fearless will make you powerful. Just mind the gap and what not. #xplap
A6 - Helping students develop better study habits...retrieval practice, spaced practice, elaboration, interleaving, dual coding, etc. I'm going to continue with my blog and hopefully write a book about how/why I use these strategies in my classroom. #XPLAP
I can't tell you how much it bothers me that students are doing HW in my class. I made an intentional effort this year not to assign HW. That means we need to use every minute of class time effectively. I just want to go to other teachers classroom and start teaching math. #XPLAP
A6: Passion: Student Voice/Choice, Differentiation for Gifted Learners, Autonomy, Student Problem Solving and Creativity = Intentionally weave these into every lesson #XPLAP
A3: It's also OK to be a little selfish with my time. This break I spent a lot of time playing games, watching movies and taking naps. It's been awhile since I gave myself permission to just relax. I feel ready to tackle this next semester. #xplap
I find passion in creating and stretching my creative limits...and the more I do the richer my life and my teaching is for it. My stretch was and is diving into YouTube! https://t.co/KKzdN5ZvNy#xplap
My passion is in doing my best for my Ss and tribe. What this looks like depends on what is needed. I guess my passion is in being a responsive educator for my Ss and tribe. #xplap
A5 apathy in adults & students! Find passion in your "work" and everyday life. I try to lead by example but wonder if I should be more explicit with the message. #xplap
A6: I want to continue striving for being a servant leader. I want to walk in and do what I can to help students first, teachers second, school third. I pray every morning to have the people who need me come into my path. #XPLAP
A6: My passion? My mission:
To explore and experience opportunities of growth and development to enhance the lives of myself and others. In other words: Climb the Mountain! #xplap
A6: I don’t think I have enough characters for this one! I am so passionate about making our education system work for all kids. Right now it doesn’t. We have to meet our kids where they are and prepare them for what is to come while giving them the tools to achieve. #XPLAP
A6: L.E.G.I.T. learning for all! This is my mantra... my passion... my purpose! Details in my next blog... Starts with locate their coordinates! 🙌 https://t.co/MG6j2QGRor#xplap#Nan3EDU#tlap
A6) My passions are Music, the Arts, and learning, and I want to help Ts and Ss embrace all of those! I will always fight for including the "A" in #STEAM activities and more... it's what makes us human. #XPLAP
#XPLAP
A5. I find it frustrating that ALL students are not included in ALL classroom family activities- ex. child could go to resource room etc- this is me as a parent and teacher- I vocalize the importance of inclusion! Look for a child’s ability not disability
Love this tweet! Lets all make sure we come back to our classrooms with passion and purpose… Without it, we are a ship a float, but without a destination in mind. #XPLAP
A5 apathy in adults & students! Find passion in your "work" and everyday life. I try to lead by example but wonder if I should be more explicit with the message. #xplap
A6 - Life-long learning. Modeling personal learning using social media and PLNs and encouraging that focus for our students as well. Personalized learning. #xplap
A6 It is a bit nerdy... But people are seriously uniformed about Civil War and Reconstruction History. They think they know but they know Myth more than History... I strive to change that... #XPLAP
A6) My passion is to help bring opportunity and social justice to my students by providing them the knowledge they need and space to think beyond what they either believe or have been told they were capable of doing. It is draining and feels so overwhelming at times. #xplap
A6 Using technology with the students, to reach past and beyond the 4 walls of my own classroom ... #XPLAP Steps to walk that passion, by implementing and just doing it!
A4: Always love the support of this great PLN. Also have a great team at school. I'm hoping to work on the other end of that this year. I take a lot of encouragement from people. I want to give a lot of that back. Plenty of encouragement to go around. #xplap
A7: I hope to connect, share, and grow though my new YouTube channel. Thank you all for your support by subscribing and interacting with it all. https://t.co/HlHOyv1rEH#XPLAP
A7: I struggle w/ follow-through in large part to my ADHD. I'm going all out (or is it all in) to overcome my struggles and CREATE more than I consume. #xplap
A7 This is tough. I don't know ... BUT I am OK not knowing
... and being open to #possibility and taking advantage of awesome opportunities that appear #xplap
